Chapter 446: Chapter 442 Zhi Qi Rescued Chapter 446: Chapter 442 Zhi Qi Rescued Hummingbird had reviewed the file on Mantis.

Before joining the Blacklist, she was the heir trained by a martial arts clan.

She was proficient in various Praying Mantis Fists.

She was utterly obsessed with the Praying Mantis Fist.

To the point where she was dangerously consud by it.

She would mimic everything about a mantis.

It was precisely because of this that Mantis had killed her three husbands with her own hands.

The first two husbands were from martial arts families, brought in as sons-in-law, and after Mantis killed them, they were hastily buried under the pretext of illness.

But the third husband was a widowed uncle from another family with so standing.

After killing him, Mantis stirred up a hornet’s nest; no longer could the previous excuse suffice to cover up the deed.

Finally, enraged, the clan sent countless masters to kill Mantis. However, Mantis did not surrender without a fight but managed to break through the siege with her transcendent Praying Mantis Fist, as though she were a real mantis.

In the end, a gravely injured Mantis was saved by Capricorn, who admired her fiery spirit. They struck a deal, and Mantis joined the Blacklist. As part of the exchange, Capricorn personally led The Eleven Constellations and a group of Blacklist masters to follow Mantis and eradicate her clan.

After recovering, Mantis duly joined the Blacklist, and because Thousand Faces was on good terms with Capricorn, Mantis was assigned under the command of Thousand Faces.

“Are you Mantis?” Hummingbird asked in a deep voice.

“Oh? You know ?” Mantis was surprised that Hummingbird could call out her na.

“Hand over Zhi Qi, surrender, and Princess Your Highness might spare your life,” Hummingbird cut straight to the chase.

“Have you captured Thousand Faces?” asked Mantis, squinting her eyes.

“Thousand Faces is now submissive to my master,” “and has beco one of us,” Hummingbird stated solemnly.

“Like Taotie?” “Your Princess Your Highness must be Fang Xiaocao. I am really curious how she managed to subdue Taotie.”

“Taotie’s defection has incensed the Blacklist’s upper echelons. Your Princess Your Highness won’t live long,” “I think it’s best you bring them over and join the Blacklist to save your lives.” Mantis said with a cold laugh.

“Then there’s nothing to discuss,” “Everyone, attack and show no rcy!” ordered Hummingbird to two Phoenix Clan mbers.

Upon receiving Feng Nan’s command, the two Phoenix Clan mbers imdiately sprang into action.

They lunged at Mantis from the left and the right.

Mantis was a born warrior, a battle-crazed fighter. How could she fear the fight?

Mantis took the Praying Mantis Fist stance and aggressively approached the two Phoenix Clan mbers.

Mantis’s Praying Mantis Fist was terrifyingly effective.

Facing two opponents, she still held her ground.

Seeing this, Hummingbird hesitated no more and imdiately rushed towards the master bedroom, which was within arm’s reach.

Just at that mont—

Boom—

The door of the master bedroom burst open.

Three Dahan charged out from inside.

Swinging their swords at Hummingbird.

Hummingbird perford a split,

avoiding the three blades over her head.

Clang—

Hummingbird’s long sword unsheathed, striking at the three n.

The three were First-Class Assassins from the third floor, each not weaker than Hummingbird.

Surrounded by three peers, the pressure on Hummingbird was imnse, but after a dozen exchanges, she already had cold sweat on her forehead.

However, Hummingbird’s combat experience was strong.

Even in a one against three scenario, she maintained her composure, fighting back and forth.

Now, Hummingbird wasn’t looking to kill her opponents but simply to hold them off, which was enough.

If the other Phoenix Clan could quickly finish their task and co to her support, that would be her victory.

anwhile!

Downstairs in the villa, the sounds of fighting and shouting could be heard; it was clear that the mbers of the Phoenix Clan heading to the first and second floors had been discovered by the guards.

A fierce battle had broken out between them.

And the two mbers of the Phoenix Clan who were engaged with Mantis,

were being relentlessly pushed back by Mantis, falling steadily back.

They were even showing signs of defeat.

Witnessing this scene, Hummingbird was secretly alard.

With her jaw set firmly, Hummingbird decided to risk it all.

She resolved to act and imdiately sprang into action.

Her blade split one opponent’s weapon in two.

Continuing her montum with a swing.

Her long sword struck with the force of “sweeping thousands of troops.”

Thwack—

The sensation of her blade cutting through flesh was all too familiar to Hummingbird; without looking, she knew her strike had unexpectedly hit its mark.

Just as Feng Nan had predicted,

one of them had a gash across his belly from Feng Nan’s blade.

Seizing the rare opportunity, Hummingbird quickly lunged forward, charging at the wounded assassin.

Strike while the enemy is sick, take their life!

Her sword rose and fell, cleanly piercing straight into the man’s heart.

Hummingbird kicked off his stomach, pulling out her long sword, and with a follow-through, delivered another strike.

The sharp edge of the blade slit his throat.

In a rapid sequence of moves, Hummingbird had taken out a fellow first-class assassin, but not without cost.

Her back had been slashed by two other assassins, one cut from each. Fortunately, Hummingbird’s vigilance allowed her to dodge as the blades ca down, and though both cuts drew blood, they were not deep.

The injuries did not affect Hummingbird’s combat effectiveness.

Hummingbird shook her hand, casting off the blood from her blade, and coldly sized up the remaining two.

The two adversaries exchanged glances, their faces showing terror; they hadn’t expected Hummingbird to be so strong, able to kill one in a three-on-one scenario.

They imdiately raised their alertness to the highest level.

Both attacked Hummingbird at once.

Hummingbird dared not take them lightly.

She imdiately swung her sword to et them in battle.

Once more, the three were locked in combat.

Just then, the sound of chaotic footsteps ca from the stairwell; the two mbers of the Phoenix Clan on the second floor had completed their mission to clear out the enemies and, covered in blood, ca rushing up.

Among the tasks Tom had given to the Phoenix Clan, besides obeying Hummingbird, was another critical mission: to protect Hummingbird at all costs.

Seeing Hummingbird surrounded and injured, the two mbers of the Phoenix Clan instantly sprang into action to fulfill their mission.

Whoosh whoosh—

Two shadows flashed by, and before Hummingbird’s eyes, the two she had been fighting had vanished. Startled, she looked around frantically.

She then saw the two mbers of the Phoenix Clan, each holding a person—they were the two Blacklist first-class assassins she had just been engaging.

Crack crack—

Two sharp sounds echoed.

The necks of the two Blacklist assassins had been snapped.

Like disposing of trash, the Phoenix Clan mbers tossed the bodies aside carelessly.

Seeing this, Hummingbird breathed a sigh of relief and ordered, “Go, kill her!”

Hummingbird directed them towards Mantis.

Upon hearing Hummingbird’s command, the two mbers of the Phoenix Clan imdiately complied.

They advanced on Mantis, one from the front and one from the back.

Mantis was indeed powerful, but ultimately outnumbered. Facing four first-class experts, Mantis quickly began to falter.

With this developnt, Hummingbird could rest easy.

She burst into the master bedroom and imdiately spotted Zhi Qi, bound to the bed.

Hummingbird quickly stepped forward and with two swift slashes—

The ropes binding Zhi Qi snapped apart.

“Miss Zhi Qi, by the order of Princess Your Highness, I have co to rescue you,”

Hummingbird said solemnly as she helped Zhi Qi to her feet.

Though Zhi Qi had been a captive, it was clear she hadn’t suffered any harm.

Her spirits seed remarkably good.

Hearing Hummingbird’s words, Zhi Qi asked with a smile, “And who is your Princess Your Highness?”
