“Do you want to live?” Xu Zimo scanned the crowd and asked calmly.
The crowd gulped hard and nodded frantically.
“In that case, let’s set so rules,” Xu Zimo smiled, turning to the remaining disciples of the Death God Palace. “From now until this ti tomorrow, exactly twenty-four hours, anyone who kills 1,000 mbers of the Death God Palace will be spared.”
“Don’t even think about escaping Dark Corner Capital. Don’t think about hiding either. It’s useless. Also, Ghost Yama’s head is worth 1,000 kills by itself. Alright, the ga begins now.”
The mont Xu Zimo finished speaking, the remaining disciples of the Death God Palace imdiately turned on Ghost Yama, rushing toward him in a frenzy.
The Death God Palace had tens of thousands of mbers, this small crowd was only a fraction.
So who knew they couldn’t win rushed off to hunt down other uninford mbers of the Palace.
Xu Zimo smiled and casually walked toward the bald fatty.
“How do you want to die?”
“I don’t want to die!” the fat man shook his head desperately, trembling with fear. “Spare ! I’ll serve you like a dog, I’ll be your slave!”
“You’re not even worthy of being my slave,” Xu Zimo sneered, then looked at Spare Tiger beside him.
“Relax, we have no grudge,” he said with a grin.
“Yes, yes, it was my fault, I didn’t know who I was dealing with,” Spare Tiger said quickly, smiling awkwardly.
“Dissect him, cut him into a thousand pieces, and you can leave,” Xu Zimo said, pointing at the bald fatty.
Spring wind blew through the street littered with corpses. The trees on both sides swayed gently, as the fat man’s screams echoed like a slaughtered pig.
Xu Zimo looked forward at Dark River and asked with a smile, “Do you want to live?”
“Of course,” Dark River nodded.
He didn’t seem particularly afraid. For a true warrior who’d walked the martial path, anyone who had reached this level had faced death countless tis. Simple fear of dying no longer shook them.
“Do you know the Heaven-Severing Sacred Ground?” Xu Zimo asked.
“There’s little in the Holyflower Region that I don’t know,” Dark River nodded.
“Then lead the way,” Xu Zimo said indifferently. “I’ve rarely co to the Middle Continent.”
This life marked his first proper journey to the continent. Though he had visited briefly in a previous life, the vast land, divided into four major regions, still held many unknowns.
Dark River nodded. He didn’t object. He understood this was the price of survival.
…
Xu Zimo spent the night in the Mo Imperial Clan’s teahouse.
Early the next morning, he prepared to head toward the Heaven-Severing Sacred Ground.
Mo Zhan’s attitude had noticeably shifted to one of deep respect.
Xu Zimo had never revealed his identity, he’d only shown Mo Canghai’s token before.
But now, after witnessing his power, Mo Zhan knew this was no ordinary man.
Sunlight spread across the earth, casting multicolored rays from the eastern sky.
Just before leaving, Dark River asked curiously, “You gave the Death God Palace a 24-hour deadline. Why leave now, before it ends?”
Xu Zimo looked at him with a hint of surprise and shrugged, “Why take a ga with ants seriously?”
“…True. I got caught up in it,” Dark River froze for a second, then nodded.
The Holyflower Region, though just one-fourth of the Middle Continent, was still quite vast.
It had more Imperial Lineages than even the core of the Eastern Continent.
Due to being shunned, Dark Corner Capital sat on the region’s fringes.
According to Dark River, even at top speed, it would take them five days to reach Heaven-Severing City.
Xu Zimo wasn’t in a rush. Leaving Dark Corner Capital, the two of them began heading south.
Not long after setting out, they unexpectedly ran into the group from the Martial Zenith Sacred Ground.
They had decided to leave Dark Corner Capital due to its brutality and were exploring other cities for training.
After a brief chat, they all decided to travel together.
Xu Zimo didn’t mind.
He kept Dark Heaven Tiger with him at all tis. His spatial ring was split into two compartnts, one for living creatures and one for non-living items.
This type of ring was rare and expensive, but Xu Zimo had never lacked resources since childhood,
so he didn’t think much of it.
He laid back on the Darksky Tiger’s back and entered his True Fate World.
There, sothing significant was happening on the God World.
The Dragon Tree planted there had grown to the height of the heavens.
Its entire trunk trembled, and the roars of dragons echoed across the land.
Inside the dragon fruits, the baby dragons began to stir, cracks started to appear on their surfaces.
As the tree trembled, the skies rumbled.
The scene continued for a while until finally, loud shattering sounds rang out.
The cracks on the dragon fruit grew larger, and tender dragon cries erged from within.
Then, nearly 100 dragon fruits fell to the ground.
Each one cracked open, and baby dragons about a ter long crawled out.
These newborns hadn’t even opened their eyes yet, but they instinctively reached out with tiny claws to nibble on the dragon fruits that had nurtured them.
With each bite, their bodies grew, their eyes slowly opened, and their scales hardened.
Nearly a hundred dragon hatchlings crawled across the ground, and Chaos, acting as the elder of the group, was clearly overjoyed.
It clumsily tried to care for the little ones.
After the dragon fruits had fallen, the Dragon Tree quickly began to wither.
Green leaves turned yellow and fell off, the height of the tree diminished, its bark split and fell away, revealing a new sapling growing from within.
This new tree was half the height of the original.
Its trunk and branches were misty gray, as if made from fog.
It rapidly absorbed the God World’s life essence and began to grow strong.
It soon bore nearly 100 fruits.
These fruits ca in all colors, black, white, red, yellow, green, purple...
Each fruit had a unique elental attribute, wind, rain, lightning, gold, wood, water, fire, earth,
even light and darkness.
These were food for the baby dragons. By eating the fruit corresponding to their attribute, they would gain matching powers.
Xu Zimo had to admit, the Dragon Race had planned everything ticulously.
Even without his intervention, the dragonlings would’ve survived in Nether Dragon Ravine, feeding on these fruits and growing over ti.
Newborn Dragon Gods weren’t very powerful yet. Xu Zimo gave Chaos so brief instructions to take care of them, then exited the True Fate World.
Back in the real world, the group hadn’t traveled far when a figure suddenly blocked their path ahead.
