📢 New Novel Launch!

Hearing Xu Zimo’s words, Jiang Mochou's expression changed slightly, but he quickly cald himself and replied coolly, “I don’t know you.”

“That doesn’t matter,” Xu Zimo said. “But how about we make a deal?”

“I have nothing to trade with you,” Jiang Mochou replied flatly.

“No, you do,” Xu Zimo leaned in slightly and whispered, “The third battle physique, the Scarlet Fla Imperial Physique.”

The mont those words landed, Jiang Mochou’s aura exploded. He stared intensely at Xu Zimo.

The Scarlet Fla Imperial Physique, he had spent three grueling years gathering the components for it. How could this stranger possibly know?

“Relax. I’m not your enemy,” Xu Zimo said. “You help with one thing, and I’ll give you a chance to beco truly powerful. You must realize, yes, you have the Scarlet Fla Imperial Physique now, but without the backing of a powerful sect, you're still limited. On the path of cultivation, wealth, companions, techniques, and location are all essential. Without my help, who knows how long it’ll take for you to get revenge?”

“Why should I trust you?” Jiang Mochou asked, clearly guarded.

“Because I’m the Holy Son of the True Martial Sacred Ground,” Xu Zimo said plainly. “I have a massive force behind , an Imperial Lineage that has produced four Grand Emperors. I can provide you with cultivation resources and much more.”

“So what exactly do you want to do?” Jiang Mochou asked, skeptical.

Xu Zimo leaned closer and whispered a few words into his ear.

Jiang Mochou froze. “You want to be bait?”

“I need to be upfront, I can’t guarantee your safety,” Xu Zimo nodded.

Jiang Mochou fell silent for a mont, then said, “Let think about it.”

“When you’ve made your decision, co find at the Chi Imperial Clan,” Xu Zimo nodded and returned to his seat.

Jiang Mochou seed a bit shaken. He ate a few distracted bites, then quietly left the inn.

“Senior Brother, do you know him?” Little Gui asked curiously.

“He’s a very useful chess piece,” Xu Zimo replied with a smile.

Watching Jiang Mochou’s fading figure, Xu Zimo whispered to Little Gui: “Follow him. Don’t let him notice.”

“Got it,” Little Gui nodded quickly.

“I’ve given him one week. If he doesn’t show up at the Chi Imperial Clan within that ti, just capture him and bring him in,” Xu Zimo said calmly.

“Why not just capture him now?” Little Gui asked.

“We’re just playing the ga,” Xu Zimo smiled faintly. “If he’s willing to cooperate, that’s ideal.

Otherwise, I’ll just have to work a bit harder.”

Little Gui nodded and quietly followed after Jiang Mochou.

As their figures disappeared, Xu Zimo continued eating at his table.

At his cultivation level, he didn’t need food to survive.

But sotis, he still enjoyed the taste.

He hadn’t planned to deal with this matter yet, but since fate brought Jiang Mochou in front of him, he might as well take care of it early.

After dinner, Xu Zimo returned to the inn to rest for the night.

At dawn the next day, he mounted his Darksky Tiger and headed north.

North of Celestial Sun City was the vast territory ruled by the Chi Imperial Clan, one of the Eastern Continent’s Imperial Lineage bloodlines.

Back when Grand Emperor Bing Xue carried the Heaven’s Will, the entire continent was under their dominion.

But after newer Grand Emperors rose, the Chi Imperial Clan gradually declined. Now, they only held one-tenth of their original lands.

Unlike traditional sects, the Chi Imperial Clan was a large noble family.

Their base was the city of Sky Pond, located in the center of the Northern Region.

Everyone living there was a mber of the Chi Imperial Clan, from direct descendants to distant relatives.

The Chi Imperial Clan was like a giant tree, blooming, shedding leaves, and spreading roots far and wide.

Xu Zimo spent seven days riding his Darksky Tiger to reach Sky Pond City.

The city was the Chi Imperial Clan’s stronghold. Only clan mbers were allowed inside.

From a distance, the city resembled a towering giant, standing proudly between heaven and earth.

It wasn’t flashy, but its sheer scale and aura were breathtaking.

As Xu Zimo arrived at the city gate, he was stopped by two disciples guarding the entrance.

“What business do you have at Sky Pond City?” one of the white-robed guards asked indifferently.

“I’m here to see your Saintess, Chi Qianxue,” Xu Zimo replied.

The disciple paused in surprise. Chi Qianxue had only recently been appointed Saintess, and the news hadn’t even spread yet.

Frowning, the disciple asked, “Who are you?”

“That’s none of your concern,” Xu Zimo said plainly. “Just tell your Saintess I’m here. She’ll understand.”

The disciple snorted.

“Not just anyone can et our Saintess. If you can’t prove your identity, I’m not passing the ssage.”

Xu Zimo’s tone grew colder.

“You know, the last person who challenged , the weeds on his grave are two ters tall by now. I’ll give you one chance. Refuse to pass the ssage, and I’ll walk away. But any consequences after that… your Chi Imperial Clan will bear them.”

“You trying to scare ?” the disciple sneered. “Open your eyes. This is Sky Pond City, an Imperial Lineage!”

“Enough, Chi Lei,” the other guard interrupted with a frown. He turned to Xu Zimo and said, “Wait here. I’ll go report to our Saintess. Whether she wants to et you or not, I can’t guarantee.”

Xu Zimo nodded with a faint smile.

As the other guard left, Chi Lei snorted coldly and muttered, “Let’s see what happens if our Saintess doesn’t et you.”

Xu Zimo shook his head.

“Sotis, I don’t want to kill. But so flies really are annoying.”

As he spoke, Shadow Tyrant flashed through the air.

Chi Lei didn’t even have ti to react before he collapsed in a pool of blood.

Xu Zimo looked at the corpse and sighed, “Originally, I wanted to act cool and wait for Chi Qianxue to show up and kill you herself. But… I couldn’t resist.”

With Chi Lei dead, the commotion quickly drew attention from others in the city.

Just as a group rushed toward the gate, Chi Qianxue appeared, descending from the sky.

Her aura, Desolate ridian Realm, swept over the area with terrifying force.

She frowned slightly as she looked at the scene before her.
