A loud groan escaped through his mouth. "UGHH!!!! It can’t be true."

Leon’s eyebrow twitched lightly. "What do you an by that?" He asked.

"I-I..." Cain hesitated, but he gathered his courage and said. "I don’t want to tell you, you’re a random person." He said.

A small smile tugged at Leon’s lips as he looked at Synthia, who was trying her best to control her laugh.

"I’m not going to force you, but if you want to tell, then you can." He said.

Cain shook his head violently and didn’t say anything else.

Leon looked at Synthia once and then started walking, leaving Cain behind.

They walked a few ters away from him, but before they could completely vanish from his sight.

Cain shouted. "HEYY!!"

Leon stopped, a smirk tucking his lips as he turned around. "You finally decided to open up, huh?" He said.

He walked towards Cain. Synthia followed behind.

"So, tell that from where you popped up from?" He said.

Cain’s eyes closed, fists clenched as he hesitated, but finally spoke. "I was trying to complete my class quest..."

"But suddenly I got sucked in by so mana breakout, and landed in front of a small house."

"An old Elf, and a dwarf were there... and then the ti limit of my quest ended." He said, looking up at Leon.

"Hmm, that’s interesting."

"So, you were a player too," Leon said, extending his hand forward.

Synthia leaned towards Leon and lifted herself. "What do you an by player, newbie?"

"Senior, it’s just a normal thing... that’s not too concerning." He said, eyes remained fixed on Cain.

Synthia took a step back and crossed her arms. "Hmph!! You just never tell anything."

Leon didn’t pay any attention to her and continued to question Cain.

"Do you have sowhere to go?" He asked.

Cain grabbed Leon’s hand. "N-No... I got kicked out of my guild, and was alone for a while."

"I thought that if I completed my class quest, I’d be able to find another guild to join, but..."

Leon pushed him back up. "You’re in a dire situation, huh?"

"You ntioned an Elf just now, right?"

Cain gave a quick nod, looking into the eyes of Leon.

"I have to go to their kingdom soon,"

He pointed his thumb towards Synthia. "We have an important person who got kidnapped by them, you see." He said, a smirk still on his lips.

Synthia nodded a few tis, and then clenched her fist. "Maya... how dare they take her away?" She muttered under her breath.

A sudden surge of purple mana started to erupt through her body, the waves seed omniscient.

’Whoa... look at her mana, she clearly is a lot angrier.’

’Well, she and Maya were together for a while, maybe she made a bond with her.’

A small sigh left through his mouth. "Senior, don’t excrete your mana out like that. We’re in the middle of the city, and there are normal people here, too."

She realised that she lost her composure.

Mana waves entered her body once again as she gained control over her anger. "I’m sorry... I didn’t realise that." She said, pouting slightly.

Leon gave a nod, gaze shifted back towards Cain.

"Do you rember the face of that elf?" He asked.

Cain gave a small nod. "Yes, but not clearly... a small cloth was covering most of his features."

Leon didn’t react to it. ’That’s understandable.’

He looked right into the eyes of Cain and said. "If you have nowhere to go, then join us."

Cain hesitated, multiple thoughts started to curl up in his mind as he simply stood there.

"Don’t think too much, if we were ant to hurt you,"

"We already would have." He said with a smile on his face.

Chills ran down the spine of Cain, his whole body trembled slightly, but he finally said. "I-I’ll join you guys." He said.

Leon put his hand on Cain’s shoulder and patted it lightly. "Don’t be scared of us anymore, we’ll protect you, right, senior?"

Synthia nodded, arms remaining crossed. "Exactly, don’t worry, little kid. I’ll protect you."

Cain nodded, his gaze was still fixed on the ground.

Leon turned around and started walking. Synthia also followed behind him.

Cain was the only one who was left behind; he finally lifted his gaze as he noticed that they both had both reached ters away from him.

"Hey!!! Wait for ." He said as he started running towards them.

He finally reached near them, pace decreased to normal.

His breath turned ragged as he tried to catch his breath. "Why did you guys leave behind?" He asked, breath shaky.

"We didn’t, it was you who stood there," Leon said.

They all kept walking for a while, and normal banter was occurring between them.

But then Leon asked sothing important of Cain. "What’s your class, Cain?"

"? I’m a tactician." He said.

"My class is Rare in the ga, and also my class paths are strategist and architect." He gave a small nod, the tone had the feeling of pride buried inside of it.

"Tactician, huh?"

"Aren’t the tacticians a little too important for guilds? Why did they kick you out?" Leon asked.

’I don’t know much about Eternal Realms... but it’s usual gar knowledge that tacticians are worth tons.’

Sweat ford on Cain’s forehead, he froze. His voice didn’t co out of his throat, but then he finally said sothing.

He scratched his temple lightly. "I-I... they didn’t want because I didn’t complete my class quest." He said, looking at Leon.

’This guy is obviously lying. No one in their right mind would kick a tactician if they didn’t complete their class quest... they’ll help their tactician to complete it.’
