"What the hell? How can this be?" A small smile appeared on his face, clearly amused.

A system window appeared in front of him, shimring brightly with blue waves.

"How the hell did I level up by 19 levels?" He muttered under his breath.

"I just fought him myself for a while, and I wasn’t even the one who defeated him... and still?" He said, eyes remaining glued to the panel.

A sudden realisation fell upon him, eyes widening as a sudden smirk curled up on his lips. "Yeah... Draviel is also part of my abilities. Technically, it’s who killed Orrix." He muttered under his breath.

He opened his ’character status’ panel, which appeared instantly out of thin air.

He started tapping his finger on the status screen.

His smirk widened, his hand resting under his chin, and his voice ca low. "That’s wonderful, I levelled up multiple tis after fighting the two rankers."

He paused, lips parting slightly as he said. "Wait... I didn’t kill that archer guy." His eyes drifted towards Draviel.

Draviel was standing next to the tree trunk, arms remaining crossed.

Leon’s voice ca out firm. "Draviel, did you also kill that archer guy? Because I rember that I levelled up suddenly while facing Orrix."

Draviel didn’t say anything for a while, but then his voice ca out loud. "I followed your orders exactly. You did not command to stop him, nor did you forbid his death. Therefore, I killed him."

Leon’s expression returned to normal, no smile on his face anymore. ’The way he talks is so cringe... I still haven’t gotten used to that.’

"Very well, you did a nice thing. With your help, I was able to get my first awakening."

Draviel’s eyebrow twitched, eyes opening slightly as he looked at Leon. ’This brat achieved the first awakening already?’

A faint smirk appeared on his face, his voice coming low but deep. "I rely did what you wished of . There is no need for thanks."

A small sigh escaped Leon’s mouth, his eyes turning back to the panel in front of him.

His eyes widened once again. "I got 40 in all of the stats!? That’s rigged..." He muttered, lips parted as a slightly amused smile appeared on his face.

He started reading the entries of his new awakening.

His eyes fell on an entry, his face turning serious as he said. "Hmm, I can now get one more summon..."

"I just rembered that I had to et the rest of them at the enemy’s camp." He muttered under his breath and pushed himself back up.

He brushed his pants to remove the dust from them.

"I wonder what the others are doing." He said, starting to walk towards the camp, his steps steady.

Two n walked along a path completely covered in dirt. Trees surrounded them, water droplets still dripping from the leaves as if the rain had just passed through.

"Don’t be so carefree, we’re going through an unknown path." One of them said, his voice deep.

"Don’t be that cautious, Rex," Aren said, his voice coming once again. "What can even go wrong?"

A huge axe was resting behind Rex’s back, clinging to his body. His gaze turned towards Aren, his voice coming out deep and slightly annoyed. "Why did Aria pair with an idiot like y—"

Before he could finish speaking, a massive gust of fire ca flying towards them, waves of fla erupting outward from it as it brushed the nearby trees.

Rex’s eyes turned towards the incoming blast, then shifted to Aren, who was standing right in front of it.

"You fucker, move," Rex shouted. He lifted his leg and kicked Aren with his heel, sending him flying.

Aren crashed into a tree branch, then fell to the ground as he gagged.

A groan ca out of his mouth. "Why the fuck..." He said.

But then his gaze fell on the massive blast of fire, his eyes widening.

The blast crashed into the ground, forming a massive river of flas. Yet it didn’t affect either of them.

Rex had also dodged the attack at the last mont.

His eyes drifted towards the direction it ca from, his axe already drawn.

"H-hey... why did you do that? You could’ve died." Aren said, his voice a bit shaky.

Rex’s grip tightened on his axe, a bead of sweat appearing on his temple as he said. "If you have ti to blabber nonsense, then get the fuck up and get ready for a fight."

Aren gulped and pushed himself back up, walking towards Rex and standing beside him.

Soon after, from their left, a voice ca.

"Aww... you guys survived that? I wanted to finish you both in a single hit." A girl said, her tone holding a glimpse of teasing.

Their eyes drifted to the left in unison. A girl was sitting on a tree branch. She didn’t look older than twenty.

Twirling a strand of her hair around her index finger, she had a cheesy smile on her face, her eyes looking down on them.
