Then the two clones materialize into existence.
Blaze-Wolf, even though it is designed based on Blaze’s current appearance, has a very different vibe from him.
Its fra is larger, its shoulder is wider, and it is slightly shorter than Blaze.
Blaze stops at 1.85 ters, while Blaze-Wolf is only 1.75 ters.
Even Blaze-Wolf’s face is slightly different, it is coarser, more angular, and an overall wider face. It lacks the softness and sharpness of his.
Its body is pure muscle, with bulging veins in every part of its body. Its arms are twice as big as normal people’s legs, and its legs are literally two walking poles.
Blaze suddenly rembers the Quarterback. It also has a very imbalanced body with wild distribution.
The clone’s appearance must have been affected by the Crisis Geno.
Well, if anyone asks, Blaze-Wolf can just tell other people that it uses steroids. A perfect excuse to be honest.
Shadow is very tall. It looks down from above to et Blaze’s gaze.
Shadow is exactly two ters tall, consisting mostly of legs.
Its lower body is two-thirds of the entire fra. Shadow is skinny, too skinny, in fact, that it looks slightly unhinged.
This reminds Blaze of marathon runners that just finish their race. They have nothing left in their body, even water vaporized from their skin.
They look exactly like Shadow here.
When Blaze thought of a perfect runner, he didn’t plan it to be this extre. But well, what’s done is done.
Blaze also summons Blaze-Zero, the most ordinary-looking clone of the bunch.
Now he has to assign what to do with each clone.
"First... Psyche Split. I’ve never used this power before."
[Psyche Split]
- Type: Sub Power
- Originated from: Genesis Legion
- Description: You can split your mind and assign it to one of your clones, giving it independent thought and action. The clone can never betray the original, nor will it have a soul of its own. The clone is still you with a part of your mind inside.
Splitting your mind sounds daunting. One can easily imagine the drawbacks and side effects it may have.
That is why Blaze has refrained from using it since he acquired the power.
But now, he has reconsidered. With Lightning Ascension, he can alter his ntal attributes.
This ans that there are powers and asures to manipulate your own ntality, which also ans that if anything goes wrong, Blaze can still fix it.
He stretches out the index and middle fingers of his right hand. He touches them directly at the center of his eyebrows.
From under his skin, a white-blue spark is pulled out. This spark emanates a faint, soft, white-blue light that delicately wraps around Blaze’s fingertips like water.
[Your Psyche (attribute) has permanently reduced by 1]
Ah, yes. The drawback finally reveals itself.
Blaze touches his fingertips at the sa position on Blaze-Wolf’s forehead. The spark is absorbed inside the skin instantly.
Blaze-Wolf’s hazy eyes slowly gain their focus. Finally, it looks at Blaze directly with humanity in its gaze.
Blaze raises his right hand. It copies.
Blaze raises his left hand. It copies.
Blaze-Wolf suddenly speaks up: "So this is what it feels like..."
The original, Blaze, continues his own sentence: "...it is like having two minds at the sa ti."
Blaze is Blaze. Blaze-Wolf is Blaze-Wolf.
Their thoughts aren’t connected, but their minds are. They are two bodies of one mind and one soul.
It’s a hard-to-describe feeling for Blaze. Suddenly he has another stream of thought that is completely separate from himself.
He knows exactly what the other is thinking because that is what he’s thinking as well.
"Any discomfort?" Blaze says.
"Actually no." Blaze-Wolf cracks his neck and swings his arms around, testing the body. "You should have known this already."
"I do actually."
Then an idea both jumps into their mind. They look at Shadow.
Blaze-Wolf speaks out an order for it.
"Turns toward !"
Shadow stands motionless and does not have any response at all.
"So a clone isn’t capable of controlling other clones." Blaze rubs his chin.
"It should be like this."
Blaze-Wolf says.
They look at each other and decide to stop talking. It is like acting for your own amusent. They are both of the sa mind, so talking only wastes ti.
Next, Blaze pulls out another strand of his psyche and puts it inside Shadow.
[Your Psyche (attribute) has permanently reduced by 1]
And now his psyche is reduced to zero again. All the enhancents from Beast’s Link are completely gone.
But he accepts it. At least Blaze can be assured that Kana will be protected.
Then he turns toward Blaze-Zero.
Blaze is considering splitting another psyche strand to this clone, but he isn’t sure he wants to find out what will happen when your psyche goes below zero.
If it was him before, Blaze will definitely do it for sure. But seeing the destroyed Caroline Wright inside William’s mory really has him hesitating.
He does not want to end up being a psycho like her.
In the end, Blaze decides not to test his luck. If Luck is an attribute, Blaze’s luck will definitely be negative.
Better not to trifle with it.
A clone without a psyche strand won’t be able to think independently and react to the environnt. But it can still take orders like a chanical robot.
"This is what you need to do.
Morning is the ti for exercise. You don’t need to do anything fancy. Just a hundred push-ups, a hundred sit-ups, and a hundred squats. After that, run for 2 hours and return ho.
Then eat, rest, and sleep if you need to.
Evening is the ti to train with a sword. All you need to do is try and get used to it, swinging it around and practicing striking. Slices and thrusts. And slices and thrusts, that’s it.
Also, rember to take a shower after every exercise and make sure you are clean and odorless.
That’s everything... I think."
Blaze doesn’t know for sure if training the clone will have any effect on his own body. Even though there is the Sub Power Legion of One.
[Legion of One]
- Type: Sub Power
- Originated from: Genesis Legion
- Description: Improvent and developnt are shared between all your clones and you.
He has to do so experints first, so this simple training regi should be enough.
"That should cover all the basics. Follow the plan strictly."
Blaze-Zero suddenly speaks up.
"Unable to execute the order. No sword is being possessed."
It talks like an automated reply, without emotion or vocal tone.
"You’re right. Here. Take the Sun Bird for now. Don’t bring it out of the house. Only practice with it inside the garden."
Blaze pulls Sun Bird out of the Inventory and gives it to Blaze-Zero. It snatches the blade and imdiately runs downstairs, leaving Blaze’s wide open eyes looking after it.
Wait a minute... Oh, right. I ordered it to train sword in the evening. It is evening now.
This type of clone can be very dumb, as it takes every order at face value. Blaze hopes he has covered all the basics.
No! I definitely didn’t cover all the basics!
"Zero! Co back here!"
Blaze then adds a bunch of different orders. What to do when it ets people. What should it do in case it gets injured. How to actually speak like a normal person. More and more.
Blaze has to teach it everything a human should do, like teaching a baby. Actually, this process resembles the coding process very much.
Blaze has to code a functional behavior of a 16-year-old boy inside the clone.
