"It doesn’t matter how I know, are you going to tell or not"
Rex’s gaze remained locked onto Reed, his expression calm.
"It doesn’t matter how I know"
"Are you going to tell or not?"
Reed’s face twisted with many emotions fear, hesitation, and the desire to escape his fate. But in the end, he finally opened his mouth and said.
"It’s the Robertsons"
"The Robertson family, huh?"
The Robertson family, one of the five richest ruling families of Zhanbert had a hand in this. Reed continued to talk about whatever but Rex found it to be too ti consuming. Seeing that he was so obedient, Rex decided to give him a chance one last chance.
"What do you want to know? I told you about everything"
Rex getting closer scared Reed. Callan, who had been watching closely, without needing orders, imdiately stepped up and grabbed both of Reed’s hands, holding them firmly so the man wouldn’t resist. Reed struggled for a brief mont but soon realized it was pointless.
Rex crouched slightly, his voice calm but to Reed it felt like his alarm bells were ringing.
"Now, whether it will hurt or not depends on your actions"
"What I’m going to do next... if you even think about resisting, it will hurt" Rex continued.
The warning sent shivers down Reed’s spine. He gulped, beads of sweat forming on his forehead. He could feel his body tensing instinctively, but he forced himself to relax. His only option now was to endure. Then, the fire appeared.
It wasn’t an all consuming blaze, but a faint, flickering glow that surrounded him. At first, it didn’t burn it rely lingered, like a presence pressing against him. And then, he felt it.
It was as if sothing was knocking at the edge of his consciousness, like soone knocking at the door of his ho. His first instinct was to resist to fight it off but then he rembered Rex’s words.
’If you think about resisting, it will hurt’
Reed forced himself to stop fighting. He let the presence in.
And then his mind went blank.
It was as if his entire soul had fallen into a deep slumber. He could feel nothing. He could do nothing. His body, his thoughts everything was distant, locked away in a place he couldn’t reach.
Yet, as Rex had said, it didn’t hurt. Rex’s eyes, which had been shut in concentration, slowly reopened. His fingers, which had been gripping Reed’s head, relaxed. Callan watched closely.
"Lord, should I dispose of him?" he asked
Rex tilted his head slightly, considering for a mont before shaking his head.
"Hmm, no need."
Reed was still alive, but he was utterly unaware that, at that very mont, the discussion of his life or death was taking place. Reed had beca unconscious, the only reason Rex could think of why was beca like this was that he was a mortal, when he used it on cultivators like his mother, they didn’t beco unconscious.
__ __ __
Back to present, Rex already knew of the information of Reed, the illegitimate son of the head of the Robertson family. The Forbidden Rune Engraved gun was sothing given to him by his father for protection used if necessary. He had explained everything regarding it including how it would drain his vitality but despite from that he was jus an illegitimate son which the head of the Robertson had, no more information about him could be gotten. The trail now leads to the head of the Robertson family.
anwhile inside the VIP room of the Roberson family. Inside the VIP room of the Robertson family, three n sat in an lounge. At the centre of the three seats was Zachariah Robertson, the head of the family. He was a man in his late fifties, yet his dark, blue hair and sharp brown eyes carried the authority of the head of a family.
To his right sat his younger brother, Caleb Robertson, a man in his mid forties. Unlike his elder brother, Caleb’s expression was always slightly relaxed, carrying an air of detachnt. His deep blue eyes had a calculating glint, and his long, neatly tied blue hair and trimd beard gave him a refined look like a scholar. Though he often played the role of an advisor, his true ambition was sothing even Zachariah even didn’t know about.
On the left, sitting with a straight posture, was Julius Robertson, Zachariah’s eldest son and heir. He was a man in his early thirties, a younger version of his father but with a more impatient edge. His short, well kept brown hair was what he got from his mother. Unlike his father’s body, he appeared more on the chubby side.
The atmosphere in the room was quiet as they waited for the items which appeared in the auction. The Robertson family was powerful, but their influence was not absolute. At that mont, the item the item which was hidden till now was revealed. Many people started murmuring not knowing what the item was which included even the other four great families as well but that didn’t include Zachariah. The auctioneer’s voice echoed from the stage,
"Now presenting ..."
He had already expected sothing valuable to appear in the later stages of the auction, but a teorite iron was beyond his expectations. His thoughts were cut off when a voice rang out from the auction floor.
"50,000 credits!"
A deep frown ford on Zachariah’s face. He turned his gaze toward the bidder and looking at the room which was above his, he knew that it could only be one person.
The Baron. He hesitated for a mont before calling out his price. Julius’s expression stiffened. Even Caleb’s relaxed deanour shifted slightly, his fingers tapping lightly on the armrest of his chair.
"Father, is it really worth offending the baron over a piece of tal?" Julius asked cautiously. "If he decides to make things difficult for us, we could suffer for it."
"This is sothing worth acquiring" Zachariah muttered. Caleb glanced at him, intrigued.
"Father, do we really need to get involved?"
"This might be valuable, but if we push too far"
Zachariah let out a small sigh, but his eyes remained locked onto the auction stage.
"That piece of tal is teorite iron, a material capable of being crafted into a strong Earth-ranked weapon"
Julius’s eyes widened in shock at those words. Even Caleb’s gaze flickered with interest, though he remained composed. An Earth-ranked weapon. Such weapons were incredibly rare, their strength leagues above yellow tier weapons and owning such a weapon could shift the balance of power between families.
"Then we must obtain it" Julius said imdiately, his previous concerns montarily forgotten.
Zachariah nodded slightly, raising his hand.
"100,000 credits."
There was a pause, then the sa voice echoed, no remorse in that voice.
"200,000 credits."
The Baron had raised the bid again. Julius clenched his jaw.
"He really won’t let it go, huh?"
"If you were in his position, would you?" Caleb finally spoke, his tone neutral.
Julius remained silent. The auction house fell silent. They did not counter. Zachariah exhaled, leaning back in his seat as he heard the sound of the auctioneer saying it was sold to the baron.
Even though the family’s total assets were worth a few million, throwing hundreds of thousands into a single purchase was not a light decision, especially since the destined day was approaching soon. Zachariah knew when to stop. Even though he might have offended the baron slightly, it didn’t matter.
"If only the Baron didn’t visit today..."
Julius voiced out his thought. The sa thought that passed through all three of their minds. However, Caleb had one more thought that neither his brother nor his nephew could hear.
’It’s interesting how this item appeared on the baron’s visit’
’Could it be’
’It couldn’t how would the royalty be involved with a small baron’

Rex on the other hand looked at the points he had currently. He already had enough to pull for 10.
[Points: 10693]
The blowjob given by Ayana as well as what transpired before which included the dance, spending ti with her, sleeping with her had given him enough to pull for 10. The blowjob given by Ayana unlike the handjob of Laura gave more points around 4k.
Rex without waiting, feeling lucky due to the obtaining the teorite iron, pulled imdiately.
[Congratulations for the host for obtaining....]
[Alchemy Talent]
[Grade: Brown]
Aside from that he also obtained a spear whose grade was,
[Grade: Yellow(MasterCraft)]
It was a MasterCrafted weapon. Rex didn’t know whether to smile or not receiving the weapon, it wasn’t that he wasn’t sad that he received another weapon. He just got the iron for crafting an earth ranked weapon, but the gacha was giving him a weapon as well. He felt like an emperor being coveted for attention by two concubines. But that was just a funny though he had, he knew that obtaining crafting such a weapon would definitely take ti and resource despite obtaining the main resource necessary to craft it. This weapon would be a good substitute till then. Rex imdiately wanted to test whether it was able to handle his flas but seeing that he was still inside the auction, he stopped his actions.
