After spending the whole day with the little fatty, Qingran just lies in bed at night not wanting to move.

Li Qingmo, who has been gaming all day, is full of energy though. He sits on the tatami in Qingran’s room, legs shaking as he plays on his phone.

Qingran looks at his legs with a look of disgust, "Brother, you haven’t been around Song Shize for a few days, how co you haven’t picked up any of his good traits but inherited all his bad habits?"

Li Qingmo’s shaking legs instantly stop and firmly hit the floor. He glances at Qingran: "Does Song Shize even have any good traits worth learning?"

Qingran thinks about it and indeed, there doesn’t seem to be anything about Song Shize worth learning.

Li Qingmo is scrolling through the school forum, his expression growing darker the more he reads.

Qingran, afraid he will smash his phone, covers her head with a blanket, leaving only her eyes exposed to watch Li Qingmo, kindly reminding him, "Brother, Dad said if you smash your phone again, he won’t buy you a new one this year no matter what."

This habit of Li Qingmo smashing his phones has finally led Mr. Li to decide not to indulge him anymore.

Li Qingmo’s phone, which was about to be thrown, gets tossed onto the table instead.

He is sowhat suspicious: "Really?"

Qingran nods, "When have I ever lied to you?"

In Li Qingmo’s limited mory, Qingran indeed has never lied to him.

Li Qingmo is a bit frustrated, he ruas his hair, and asks Qingran, "Do you know which class teacher used you as a bad example?"

Qingran shakes her head.

Actually, she does know, but she wouldn’t dare say it in front of Li Qingmo.

"Pfft!" Li Qingmo scoffs, "It seems like Xie Ying’an and the others all know about the betting situation, only I’m kept in the dark, damn, that’s not cool."

Qingran yawns, frowning, "Brother, don’t use swear words."

Li Qingmo glances over, seeing her wrapped up like a dumpling, with so disdain, "Li Qingran, are you a pig? What ti is it for you to be lying in bed?"

It’s only a little past eight in the evening.

Qingran has no strength to retort, what’s the point of communicating with soone who sleeps till late and then calls others pigs?

Qingran extends her arm out from the blanket, "Brother, look at my two arms, they’re so sore from holding the little fatty all day today."

Speaking of the little fatty, Li Qingmo’s face shows a bit of sympathy for Qingran, "She is already that big, can walk on her own, why do you keep holding her?"

"She won’t walk..." Qingran says with a miserable face: "When I put her on the ground, her feet don’t even touch it."

It’s just hopeless!

Li Qingmo doesn’t want to talk about the little fatty, he just wants to know what he has been curious about: "Li Qingran, how did you really do on the test?"

Several yawns later, Qingran’s voice sounds nasal, she beats around the bush, "How am I supposed to know? We haven’t gotten the papers back, so I don’t have any idea either."

"Stop it." Li Qingmo clearly doesn’t believe her: "Didn’t you check the answers with Xie Ying’an when you ca back?"

"We only checked the math answers."

No sooner had Qingran finished speaking, the phone charging on the desk rang with a video call invitation.

She doesn’t want to move, snuggled in the blanket, she smiles pleadingly at Li Qingmo, "Brother, can you grab my phone for ?"

Li Qingmo walks over to unplug the charger, pausing for a mont when he sees who is calling.

Qingran asks: "Brother, who is it?"

Without a word, Li Qingmo leans on the desk and answers the video call.

"What’s up?" he asks.

Qingran imdiately guesses who’s on the other end of the video call.

"Why is it you?" Xie Ying’an asks: "Where’s Li Qingran?"

Li Qing Mo, imitating Xie Ying’an, had the cara directly pointed at his face; he glanced up at Li Qingran, then lowered his head to the video and lied through his teeth with eyes wide open: "Asleep."

There was silence on Xie Ying’an’s end.

"Don’t believe it?" Li Qing Mo switched to the rear cara, "See for yourself."

Li Qingran hurriedly closed her eyes and pretended to sleep.

The cara was pointed at Li Qingran’s face for a full minute before the siblings heard a light chuckle from the other end of the video.

Li Qing Mo switched the cara back, "Laughing at what?"

"No," the voice from the other end returned to its usual tone, and after a pause, it added: "When Ranran pretends to sleep, her eyelashes tremble."

Li Qingran: "..."

Can they really observe that closely through the cara?

Li Qing Mo was skeptical: "How do you know that?"

He didn’t even know that his sister’s eyelashes would tremble when she pretended to sleep.

"I just noticed it recently," said Xie Ying’an, as nonchalantly as if comnting on the nice weather today.

Li Qing Mo, the steel-straight guy, had no interest in chatting with Xie Ying’an about topics he considered utterly un-nutritious. He straightforwardly asked, "How do you think you did on this mid-term exam?"

Xie Ying’an: "Not bad."

Li Qing Mo had co to realize that ’not bad’ in Xie Ying’an’s mouth ant very good. It seed another grade-topper was indisputable this ti.

Still not giving up, Li Qing Mo pressed, "Didn’t you find this exam a bit challenging?"

"Challenging?" Xie Ying’an’s voice carried a tinge of confusion.

Damn it! Li Qing Mo once again felt like tossing his phone.

He walked over and sat by Li Qingran’s bed, asking her, "Li Qingran, tell , was this exam difficult or not?"

Li Qingran was compelled to reply, "It was okay, I didn’t find it very hard."

Hearing this while about to hang up, Xie Ying’an perked up, "Li Qing Mo, give the phone back to Ranran."

Li Qing Mo was still imrsed in disbelief over "didn’t find it very hard." His expression incredulous, he reached over and yanked off Li Qingran’s blanket: "You didn’t find it very hard?"

The weather in April was already sowhat warm, and Li Qingran, not resisting after being robbed of her blanket, curled up with a cushion. She jabbed at Li Qing Mo: "It wasn’t that difficult. You haven’t been studying properly lately. It’s no one else’s fault if you did poorly."

Li Qing Mo’s eyes bulged in astonishnt.

Xie Ying’an on the other end slightly raised his voice, "Li Qing Mo, if you want to talk, just talk. Why are you pulling off the blanket?"

"None of your damn business!" Li Qing Mo spat at the screen, then slamd the phone down to hang up.

Wow, it was rare to see Li Qing Mo show such spine in front of Xie Ying’an.

Li Qing Mo tossed the phone to Li Qingran and threw the blanket back over her.

He went to pick up his own phone, started a video call, and walked out, not forgetting to instruct Li Qingran, "If you’re tired, sleep early and don’t stay on the phone."

Li Qingran had no intention of looking at her phone again anyway.

Just before closing the door, the video call Li Qing Mo dialed was answered, still Xie Ying’an’s cool, unemotional voice: "What’s up?"

The door closed, but it couldn’t block the slightly raised voice of Li Qing Mo: "Fuck! Weren’t you calling for sothing just now?"

Who knows what Xie Ying’an said, as there were no more sounds coming from outside.

Li Qingran put the phone on the bedside table and couldn’t help but wonder: Would Xie Ying’an call her phone looking for him?

She really couldn’t figure out her brother’s thought process.

No wonder the Li Qing Mo in the book was still single at thirty. With this steel-straight-man personality, it’s a miracle if he isn’t single for a lifeti.
