Qingran ultimately didn’t go to lunch with Ji Yanchen. When the two of them ca out of the library, it had already stopped raining outside.

The ground was wet, and occasionally stepping on uneven spots would splash water. Qingran’s white shoes feared water, so she spent most of the ti looking at her feet while walking.

Ji Yanchen walked on the outside, the young man who usually walked with his head down, today, for a change, looked up attentively at the road.

Qingran softly discussed with Ji Yanchen where to go next.

Ji Yanchen’s expression was sowhat bewildered. In all his seventeen years of life, he had never walked down the street like he did today.

For the first ti in his life, he began to feel annoyed by his reclusive nature.

Qingran knew that if they were hoping for God Ji to suggest a place to eat lunch, they probably wouldn’t get to eat before nightfall.

She looked around the pedestrian street ahead and, pointing to a noodle shop, said to God Ji, "Senior, there’s a noodle shop up ahead. Ruan Ruan and I have eaten there several tis; the taste is quite good. How about we have lunch there today?"

Naturally, Ji Yanchen had no objections and softly replied, "Okay."

Just as Qingran was about to step into the noodle shop, a familiar male voice suddenly sounded from behind: "Li Qingran?"

It was Song Shize’s voice, uncertain.

Qingran turned to look behind her. Song Shize stood with one hand in his pocket at the entrance of a store, with several of his little fanboys still following him.

It seed Song Shize had not expected the back he found similar to Li Qingran’s to actually be Li Qingran herself. When Qingran turned her head, he widened his eyes slightly, then quickly squinted to get a better look at Ji Yanchen beside Qingran.

Considering he’s the combat aircraft among the poor students, he probably doesn’t know the famous God Ji of F High. Song Shize spent a rather long ti looking at God Ji.

Ji Yanchen wasn’t used to being stared at like this and slightly lowered the brim of his cap. Since it was soone Qingran knew, he couldn’t overtly avoid that person’s gaze.

From a distance, Qingran waved to Song Shize and was ready to go into the noodle shop.

"Wait, Li Qingran." Song Shize took long strides and jogged over to Qingran.

The three of them stood face to face at the entrance of the noodle shop. Song Shize looked at Ji Yanchen for a mont then suddenly grinned, "Li Qingran, you actually dare to cheat on Xie Ying’an with another dog behind his back."

Qingran frowned. "What are you talking about?"

Song Shize had an arrogant look of ’nothing can get past ’, and he asked, "Do you and the wild guy..."

After seeing Qingran’s glaring look, Song Shize slowly corrected himself, "Oh, does Xie Ying’an know that you ca out to eat with God Ji?"

Turns out the spoiled rich kid with no real talent also knows the academic god.

Qingran gave him a look as if she was looking at a lunatic: "Why should I tell Xie Ying’an about this?"

She hadn’t even told her dad or her brother about it, fearing they would mistakenly think she was dating too early.

Song Shize spread his hands: "There you have it, you wouldn’t dare to confess that you’ve been cheating with another dog behind his back, even if I gave you ten tis the guts."

Screw your cheating with a dog!

Qingran didn’t even want to bother with him.

Ji Yanchen lowered his gaze to the ground, instinctively blocking out words said by people he didn’t know and didn’t like.

Song Shize still had the look of a petty person taking pleasure in his victory, sizing up Ji Yanchen from head to toe and then raising his thumb: "Li Qingran, not bad at all, you know how to pick pri quality when you choose a dog."

Qingran worried that Ji Yanchen might feel uncomfortable hearing Song Shize spout such nonsense, so she discreetly observed his expression.

The low black cap brim hid the boy’s eyes, revealing only his prominent nose bridge and slightly thin lips, a resolute chin as if carved out of marble; no wonder it could cause a fanatic frenzy in the library just now.

Just as Qingran was about to tell the unreliable Song Shize to stop talking nonsense, she saw several familiar faces walk out of the shop Song Shize had just been by.

Amidst a bevy of girls, Wen Siqi was certainly the most eye-catching beauty.

Oh!

Qingran got it.

No wonder Song Shize had such a big reaction seeing her with Ji Yanchen, making such a fuss for so long, it turns out it’s a case of the pot calling the kettle black!

Following Qingran’s gaze, Song Shize looked behind him with not a trace of panic on his face from being caught by his girlfriend’s best friend.

He even enthusiastically waved at Wen Siqi and his little fanboy to co over.

Wen Siqi, holding several shopping bags, happily walked towards Song Shize’s direction. As she got closer, she seed to finally notice Qingran and paused.

"Caught red-handed?" Qingran smiled slightly at Song Shize.

Song Shize still had the appearance of a gentleman, unashadly lifting his chin towards Qingran: "Co on, what man doesn’t have a few female confidantes?"

Does Ruan Ruan know about your ’female confidantes’?

Qingran knew that neither Ruan Ruan nor Song Shize took it seriously, and this bet was just Ruan Ruan’s way to annoy Song Shize.

By the ti everyone was seated at the sa table in the noodle house, Wu Zixian was still making a fuss, "Brother Ze, are we really just eating this for lunch today?"

Song Shize glanced at him indifferently: "What, can’t you eat it?"

Wu Zixian instantly fell silent.

Both Ma Qingsheng and Wu Zixian ca from decent families, but compared to Song Shize’s household, theirs seed sowhat less impressive.

Wen Siqi, who was about to complain, also quickly shut her mouth when she saw this and exchanged looks with the few girls she was with, then ordered several bowls of noodles from the nu.

The noodle house had been open for many years; the owners were an elderly couple, and the noodles were good and reasonably priced.

Qingran guessed that Ji Yanchen probably rarely ate out, so when picking up disposable chopsticks and paper napkins, she always took a little extra care of him.

Leaving Song Shize and Ma Qingsheng beside them staring in astonishnt.

The group had good manners, and they all ate quietly without talking.

The boys clearly didn’t expect the noodle house’s food to taste so good; after a few bites, their eyes lit up, and they started wolfing down their food.

Compared to the boys, Wen Siqi and the others ate much more delicately, taking only one or two strands of noodles at a ti. Qingran felt anxious for them seeing the large bowls they had to finish.

Ji Yanchen also ate very politely, but his eating speed wasn’t slow.

After the males finished eating, they sat waiting for the females; Song Shize, probably craving a smoke, kept putting a cigarette to his nose to sniff.

Suddenly, he raised his head and looked towards Qingran.

Qingran, who was wiping her mouth, was a bit startled: "Why are you looking at ?"

"Li Qingran," Song Shize winked at her: "Let’s do this, today we both ’stole the dog,’ so let’s not rat each other out, okay?"

What’s this about n having a few female confidantes being normal, when in the end, he’s still worried about Ruan Ruan finding out?

Qingran didn’t want to agree with him; Song Shize truly cheated, and what did her situation count as cheating?

Song Shize seed to sense Qingran’s thoughts, and he sneered: "You’re not worried about Xie Ying’an finding out, but what about your brother? If your brother finds out, you might be accused of puppy love..."

Damn!

Song Shize really knows where to hit where it hurts.
