Mr. Li took ti out of his busy schedule

to handle Qingran’s hospital discharge procedures.

Coincidentally, Mr. Song also ca to visit Song Shize at that ti, with just a wall separating their rooms, and the doors of the rooms weren’t even closed, so the soundproofing was just so-so.

Mr. Li had the discharge papers in hand, but still couldn’t let go and tried to persuade Qingran one more ti: "Why not stay a few more days and observe a bit longer?"

Qingran refused firmly: "Dad, the doctor said I can be discharged now."

Qingran had undergone all sorts of examinations for her heart pain, but no cause was found. The doctor recomnded staying for observation for two to three days.

Mr. Li wanted to persuade her further, but his words were cut off by an angry roar from next door.

"Song Shize!" The middle-aged man’s voice broke due to extre anger.

However, Song Shize’s voice was not heard, only Mr. Song’s scolding—

"Doctor Zhou told a long ti ago. Those few rotten teeth of yours have already healed, so how much longer are you planning to stay in the hospital?"

Song Shize’s voice was indeed not heard.

After Mr. Li left the ward, Song Shize swayed over, and his gaze fell on a small bag that Qingran was packing. He pretended not to know and asked, "Discharging today?"

"Yep, I’ll be discharged this afternoon." Qingran put down her phone and sized up Song Shize from head to toe.

Song Shize felt uneasy under her gaze and started to stutter, "Wha-what are you looking at like that for?"

"It’s nothing," Qingran shook her head, then followed up by asking him, "Did you get beaten up?"

Song Shize was taken aback, and his face slowly turned sour. He snorted: "How could I not have been beaten up? Old Man Song loves beating the most."

Geez, that’s rough!

Song Shize spread his hands in grievance, "I never said I wouldn’t discharge. I just proposed staying for about another week, and Old Man Song blew up, is there even a parent like him?"

Another week?

Qingran was completely speechless.

It was said that when Song Shize was brought to the hospital, the doctor had already stated that such minor injuries were totally normal and not worth hospitalization. However, Song Shize didn’t think it was a minor injury and insisted the doctor issue him a hospitalization order, complaining about headaches, back pain, this pain, that pain, and even concocted a series of sequelae examples, accusing the doctor of lacking dical ethics and responsibility.

What could the doctor do? He reluctantly gave him a three-day hospitalization order, and even that wasn’t enough for him. He insisted the doctor change it from three days to a week.

"Do you think school is not good?" Qingran asked him.

"Not good." Song Shize shook his head without hesitation, he walked over to the tidied up accompanying bed and sat down, his eyes gazing sowhere unknown, a self-mocking smile on his face.

"Li Qingran, you top-scoring students can’t understand at all how we poor perforrs get by in school."

A sudden alarm bell went off in Qingran’s heart, and seeing Song Shize’s look of 45 degrees to the sky with a hint of sadness, she suspected Song Shize was starting to adopt a lancholic style.

Then she heard Song Shize say, "Especially for a poor student like , handso, good physique, good family background, even if I slouch through high school every day, I can still go to a decent university or go abroad for a layer of gilding, sitting idle and starting points higher than most people, every day in school I encounter a variety of eyes, whether admiring or jealous, ah~"

He sighed heavily, concluding: "Super annoying!"

Qingran: "..."

She knew it couldn’t be that simple.

Damn, this goofball Song Shize really never disappoints.

After completing the final examination in the hospital that afternoon, Qingran finally returned to her ho after a three-day absence.

Zhao Yan, bubbling with enthusiasm, proposed to welco Qingran back and cleanse away the hospital’s bad luck, to which Mr. Li happily agreed.

So, at a little past six in the evening, the living room of Qingran’s ho was filled with people, which actually ant just three families.

Xie Ying’an’s family and Liu Luoxi’s family.

Zhao Yan was a thoughtful woman and knew that letting Qingran’s Aunt Liu cook so many dishes would be overwhelming, so she had arranged for Sister An to co over and help early on.

Ruan Ruan had wanted to go to the hospital to see Qingran but learned that Qingran had been discharged and ca over with Li Qing Mo instead.

A few older children gathered together; Liu Luoxi and Li Qing Mo had already started playing video gas.

Qingran and Ruan Ruan sat on the sofa, Liu Luoxi’s little sister sat on Qingran’s lap and refused to leave. The little girl was just over two years old, the late-born daughter of Qingran’s aunt, and was incredibly spoiled.

The little girl, just like her sister in childhood, was plump and white from good eating, and it didn’t take long before Qingran’s leg went numb from her sitting on it.

Liu Luoxi looked over from her busy gaming, "Liu Xiaoxia, stop clinging to cousin Qingran, co over to your sister’s side."

Liu Xiaoxia, the little chubby girl, completely ignored her sister. Her big eyes blinking adorably lted the heart of Ruan Ruan, who gently stroked the little girl’s smooth and soft cheeks.

Liu Xiaoxia gave her a sweet smile, her plump cheeks revealing two deep dimples, so cute it was almost unfair.

Ruan Ruan was nearly overwheld by the cuteness: "Wow wow wow, human babies are really too adorable, Ranran."

Qingran hugged Liu Xiaoxia’s chubby belly, afraid that she might carelessly fall off, not finding the little chubby girl who had numbed her leg cute at all.

Qingran’s aunt was chatting with Zhao Yan, the two won moved from talking about makeup to clothing, and totally opened up the floodgates, crazily exchanging recomndations for good-looking clothing brands.

It was just then that Xie Ying’an and An Xiaoxiao ca over, one after the other. An Xiaoxiao followed behind, seemingly still whispering sothing to Xie Ying’an. They were too far away for the girls to hear what was being said, only seeing them talking.

The young girl was smiling, her large eyes curving into crescent moons, her oversized school uniform highlighting her slender figure.

Sigh, Qingran couldn’t help but sigh inside, as the plot progressed, the second female lead’s appearance also gradually increased.

Xie Ying’an nodded to An Xiaoxiao, his gaze first swept around the room, and then ca to a stop at Qingran’s side, he walked over after greeting the elders with his long strides.

Ruan Ruan excitedly whispered: "Ah ah, Brother An is coming over to find Brother Mo."

Xie Ying’an’s steps stopped in front of Qingran, he took the little chubby girl from Qingran’s arms, and handed over a few notebooks to her.

The young man’s voice was clear and pure: "Here are the notes from the past few days, you can take a look when you have ti."

Ruan Ruan murmured softly: "Holy shit!"

The little chubby girl, suddenly in different arms, was initially stunned, about to start wailing with a pouted mouth, but when she heard the voice of the person holding her, she paused again, her plump little hands reaching up to Xie Ying’an’s hair wanting to see his face.

With his hair being tugged, Xie Ying’an turned back to look, the little chubby girl drooled and smiled, leaning on Xie Ying’an’s shoulder and started to peacefully munch on her hand.

The whole sequence left Qingran dumbfounded.

Ruan Ruan was even more surprised, doubting herself: "Do two-year-old babies actually have an aesthetic sense now?"

An Xiaoxiao, who had been following Xie Ying’an, smiled and greeted them, then was about to go to the kitchen to help out, but Qingran pulled her back, not allowing it.

"Guests should be treated as such," she said.

It wasn’t that guests should be treated as such, this part of the story Qingran vaguely rembered so of.

In the book, Li Qingran didn’t experience such an illness, instead, it was Li Qingmo who got sick. He was hospitalized for a few days with acute appendicitis.

In the sa scenario, Xie Ying’an was delayed getting ho for an hour because of a physics class and happened to encounter An Xiaoxiao, whose bike had broken down. The image of the two of them entering one after the other, deeply hurt Li Qingran’s eyes.

Li Qingran confronted An Xiaoxiao’s greeting with a cold look, putting on an air of superiority, but didn’t say anything too harsh. An Xiaoxiao went to the kitchen to help, and she thought it was only proper.

Just this point alone gradually made the second female lead start to harbor a grudge against her.

An Xiaoxiao was taken aback, forced a smile and said, "No need, I ca here originally to help out my mom."

After saying that, she nodded to Qingran and ran off into the kitchen.

Li Qingmo was calling for Xie Ying’an, "Xie Ying’an, give the little fatty back to Qingran and co join the squad."

Xie Ying’an didn’t want to play gas, he sat beside Qingran holding the little chubby girl in his arms and turned his head towards Li Qingmo saying, "You guys go ahead, my phone is dead."

Ruan Ruan lightly bumped Qingran’s arm and whispered in her ear: "Ranran, what do you think would happen if I took a sneaky photo of Brother An with the child?"

Qingran gave her a cool look, "What do you think?"

"Sigh~"

Ruan Ruan sighed resignedly, and then sneakily glanced at Xie Ying’an feeding the little chubby girl cookies, murmuring with sentint: "Brother An likes kids so much, he’ll definitely be a loving father in the future, Brother Mo is so lucky..."

Wait, there’s a very important question she overlooked, how could Brother An and Brother Mo have a child together?

Qingran’s fingertips trembled slightly, she lowered her eyes, suddenly rembering, did Xie Ying’an have kids in the book?

There were two extra stories just about Xie Ying’an in the book; his life after marriage was as ordinary as anyone else’s. Not extrely happy, nor unhappy. For ten years of marriage, no children were ntioned...

Zhao Yan glanced casually over, the sight of Xie Ying’an holding the child caused her to freeze for a good while.

Is this the sa son of hers who used to hate the sight of babies?
