Wednesday was a day without classes.

Ruan Ruan, who didn’t mind ruining herself, asked Liu Luoxi to co over to Qingran’s ho to play gas, and she was becoming just like Liu Luoxi, soon to be a gaming addict.

Qingran refused to join them in their indulgences.

But since it was vacation, she was also not in the mood to do howork. So, braving the strong sumr sun, she went to tend to her long-neglected garden plants.

Li Qingmo leaned out of his room window and called, "Li Qingran, aren’t you afraid of getting heatstroke under such intense sun? Co up quickly!"

So, Qingran left the half-pulled weeds in the garden and returned to her room at Li Qingmo’s urging.

After lunch on Wednesday, Liu Luoxi and Ruan Ruan continued to nest on the sofa, playing gas.

Qingran didn’t want to play gas and went to her room for a nap. When she woke up, it was already afternoon, and her phone, set to vibrate mode, was buzzing incessantly nearby.

Qingran picked up her phone and saw that a WeChat group had been created for her tutoring class. She didn’t know when, but she had been added to it.

Not all of the twenty-so students in the tutoring class were in it, as the chat only showed about a dozen students.

Even with just those dozen students, they were chatting energetically in the group. Qingran glanced through the chat history and felt sowhat out of place with their thoughts.

Most of them were forced by their parents to attend the tutoring, and now they were in the group, complaining about their parents as if they were studying for their parents’ sake, one after another.

It was entirely a pointless topic.

Qingran thought, perhaps only she and Fang Jin were attending the tutoring on their own volition.

Then she opened the group chat page and chose to mute the notifications; now the ssages from the group wouldn’t disturb her anymore.

It was still early at four o’clock in the afternoon.

Perhaps because of the fatigue from studying recently, Qingran felt her lengthy nap had been particularly refreshing.

As she was about to head downstairs and reached to grab her phone again, she noticed a friend request.

The person who added her had an avatar of celestial bodies, and the friend verification ssage carried the na ’Bai Wenxing’.

WeChat showed that it was Bai Wenxing from the ’Physics Tutoring Class Group’.

Hesitating for a mont, Qingran still accepted the request before heading downstairs, considering that a capable person is not only suitable as a competitor but also as a friend.

Downstairs, the gaming team gained another mber, Li Qingmo. When Qingran ca down, Li Qingmo was pinching his voice, sounding like a duck, and yelled into the phone, "Bro, can you give an eight-tis scope?"

Instantly, Qingran felt goosebumps all over her body, while Ruan Ruan and Liu Luoxi beside her seed accustod to it and continued playing gas expressionlessly.

Qingran found the scene too cringeworthy and turned back upstairs.

Forget it, mingling with them was not as good as reading so extracurricular books.

While going back upstairs, Qingran saw the ssage from Bai Wenxing. Beyond the initial greeting, it was all physics-related materials.

Qingran casually opened a couple of images to take a look and instantly beca interested. Bai Wenxing’s collection of complex and miscellaneous points was exactly what she needed.

Bai Wenxing was surprisingly generous, willing to share his painstakingly collected materials with his rival.

Qingran wasn’t sure if she had expressed her gratitude, but the previously study-averse girl was now seated once again at her desk because of those few pictures.

Teacher Xu was highly efficient in her work, and by Thursday’s class, the test results had already co out.

She handed out the test papers one by one without reading out the scores. Once she finished, she stood on the podium with a stern look on her face: "Everyone, quiet down, please."

The classroom, initially noisy from the distribution of the test papers, quickly beca silent.

Teacher Xu had a satisfied look on her face. She wrote the words "seventy percent" on the blackboard, then turned and said: "This exam has basically allowed to understand your foundational abilities. Seventy percent of you probably ca here to study, but for the remaining thirty percent, I’m not sure if you’re really here to learn?"

She paused for a mont, her gaze sweeping around the classroom, then continued: "As long as you are here to attend the class, regardless of your mindset, I have only one request: if you ca here to study, then study diligently. If you’re not willing to learn, please do not disturb the others who are trying to learn..."

At the end, Teacher Xu even stated: if anyone is here not for learning, they could go to her office to get a tuition refund. She would return the tuition fee within a week of attending the class.

The classroom, filled with more than twenty students, fell deathly silent.

After saying all this, Teacher Xu then started to explain the questions.

Qingran, having scored full marks in Physics, quickly realized that Teacher Xu was addressing so of the more challenging and confusing aspects encountered during regular studies. Those students who weren’t truly here to learn would find it incomprehensible.

Sure enough, just as the bell rang to signal the end of the class, Ruan Ruan slumped in her seat and complained: "My gosh, is this even Physics? How co it’s nothing like the Physics I’ve learned?"

Compared to the Physics taught at school, indeed, what Teacher Xu had discussed was sowhat harder.

Qingran reassured her: "If there’s anything you don’t understand, you can ask . I’ll explain whatever I know to help you."

Ruan Ruan, pretending to be tearfully moved, said: "Oh Qingran, you’re so kind, I love you to death..."

As they were talking, suddenly, a sowhat noisy disruption was heard at the classroom doorway.

A sharp and sowhat familiar female voice ca from the doorstep —

"Bai Wenxing, you said you were here to study? Whether you’re really studying or not, you know best..."

The students in the classroom instinctively looked up, their curious gazes obstructed by the half-open classroom door.

Ruan Ruan, still slouched over her desk, instantly perked up; she sat upright, stretching her neck curiously towards the door and muttered: "Who is that? Such a loud voice, sounds like a shrew."

The figure of the girl outside was completely obscured by Bai Wenxing’s slender fra, and could not be seen clearly without opening the door.

And no one took the initiative to open that door.

Qingran inexplicably guessed who that girl might be. During the rematch a headache from the drama unfolding plagued her, and at that ti, it seed that there was a girl berating Bai Wenxing for quite so ti.

The arguing outside the door continued, and from the whole duration, only the high-pitched interrogative tone of that girl could be heard; Bai Wenxing’s voice was utterly inaudible.

Finally, when the class bell rang, Bai Wenxing entered the classroom looking weary, following Teacher Xu.

When the students looked towards the doorway again, the figure of that girl was no longer seen.

Taking advantage of the mont before the teacher began the lesson, Ruan Ruan whispered to Qingran: "I think that girl who just ca..."

Ruan Ruan pointed to where Bai Wenxing was sitting, pouting, and said: "Must be his girlfriend, but, based on her tone, it sounded like she was catching a cheater, doesn’t it?"
