The white lightning pierced through the night sky before crashing into the carriage being carried by the four huge humanoid goats.

His heart jolted in shock upon seeing. The centipede had beco one of them?!
Within Bai Hu City, more than half of the beasts engaged in battles unleashed attacks upon the beast tide in the air.

They imdiately unleashed their divine sense to detect any arrows that might have been aid toward them.
Countless cries of anguish rang out across Bai Hu City!
Even though the voices seed muffled and subdued under this peculiar phenonon, they were still clearly audible to people like An Lin with advanced cultivation bases.

The overwhelming pressure disappeared, and An Lin heaved a heavy sigh of relief. He turned to look at Xu Xiaolan, and they both saw the sa expression of shock mirrored in each other’s eyes.
They didn’t dare to investigate the beast tide as they were scared of the potential consequences that could lead to.
The power that the beast tide had just unleashed gave them an overwhelming sense of powerlessness.
“Those beasts were most likely killed before being converted into a special type of existence.” Xu Xiaolan analyzed after a montary silence, “From the extent of my knowledge, they appear to be a lot like the dead soul puppets I’ve heard about.”
“Dead soul puppets?” This was the first ti An Lin had ever co across this term.
“That’s right. They are a type of dead soul and are what we often refer to as ghosts.”
“However, they are ghosts without sentient awareness. They possess a fraction of the power they had during their lives and are controlled by an external living being,” Xu Xiaolan explained.
“Dead souls that are controlled by living beings?” A thought seed to occur to An Lin as his eyes lit up, and he asked, “Could it be a mighty figure from the Opposite Shore Realm?”
Only cultivators from the Opposite Shore Realm, which neighbored the Sinister Spirit Beast Cesspool, were this adept at playing with dead souls.
Xu Xiaolan was clearly in agreent with the assumption. “The creature in that carriage is most likely an Opposite Shore Realm mighty figure. Aren’t they afraid of retaliation from the Sinister Spirit Beast Cesspool after engaging in such a reckless slaughter and dead soul recruitnt?”
“Is it possible that the beast tribes asked them to co here and purge so of the beasts?” A bold assumption ford in An Lin’s mind. “It had said ‘purge complete, move on to the next stop’ as if it was completing so sort of mission.”
Xu Xiaolan nodded. “That’s a possibility. Perhaps it even has sothing to do with the unrest and turmoil within the Sinister Spirit Beast Cesspool. However, these are only baseless assumptions. We’ll have to wait and see what the Jade Bone Immortal Bug says tomorrow about this. I have a feeling that the gathering of the Soul Formation Stage soul beasts here tomorrow is not a coincidence.”
An Lin continued to speculate, “You’re saying that it intentionally invited the Opposite Shore Realm mighty figure to complete a purge right before this gathering?”
“That is indeed a possibility.” Xu Xiaolan nodded.
The two of them fell silent.
They continued to sit on the roof of the building while looking up at all the stars in the clear night sky.
It was a beautiful night.
Well, aside from all the disconcerting snoring noises, everything was extrely serene and beautiful.
There were no more battles taking place either, and the entire city almost felt like a normal city.

An Lin heaved a forlorn sigh upon hearing this.
It looked like the golden tiger knew nothing.
An Lin, Xu Xiaolan, and Xiao Ze headed toward the central palace of Bai Hu City as servants to the golden tiger, where the Jade Bone Immortal Bug was waiting for them.
An Lin gave his Illusionary Star Robe to Xu Xiaolan for her to wear. This was in order to conceal her aura and prevent her from blowing her cover.
An Lin’s consciousness held a crushing advantage over most Return to Void Stage mighty figures, so he could easily conceal and disguise his aura.
Xiao Ze would have no problems either as his cultivation base was at the pinnacle of the Return to Void Interdiate Stage.
