Chapter 1249: Disciplining Little Xie

An Lin extended a formal gesture of gratitude to the Night Monarch.
If it weren’t for the Night Monarch, his Little Xie would not have progressed to beco a divine tool so easily.
Thus, he rode on Da Bai’s back and continued to rub Little Xie’s cheeks as he bade farewell to the Night Monarch.
The return journey was an extrely smooth one. When Little Xie made her breakthrough, a pillar of divine light had knocked a massive hole that extended all the way into the depths of the abyss, thereby providing them with a shortcut to the surface.
With a passageway leading from the Abyss of Evil to the surface, the entire abyss didn’t seem all that terrifying anymore.
Aside from a few ghostly wails here and there, they didn’t encounter any other paranormal activity that was worthy of note.
Soon, An Lin returned to the surface on Da Bai’s back.
He looked around at the blue sky and white clouds, as well as the boundless earth around him, and his mood was lifted significantly.
Little Xie still wore a stern expression as she sat silently on Da Bai’s head.
There were still red fingerprints all over her adorable face, clearly the result of being ravaged rcilessly by An Lin.
Little Xie was silently absorbing the Spiritual Energy of Heaven and Earth in order to recover her energy.
She was telling herself over and over again to wait half a day, just half a day. After that, she would be back to full power… When that ti ca, she was going to slice and dice this b*stard!
“By the way, Little Xie, what was that technique you unleashed after you beca a divine tool? It felt like it was quite an aweso technique. Can you explain it to ?” An Lin asked with a smile.
“Hmph!” Little Xie harrumphed coldly and did not provide a reply.
Her attitude was written quite clearly on her face—I’m not talking to you!
“Don’t be angry anymore, Little Xie. We were both at fault, so why don’t we each take a step backward and let bygones be bygones?” An Lin persuaded patiently.
Little Xie looked into the distance with her dead fish eyes and completely ignored him.
An Lin didn’t give up. He was still providing a relentless lecture to try and lift her mood.
Little Xie couldn’t take it anymore, and she exploded with rage. “An Lin! I’ll jump off Da Bai’s back before I tell you about my power, so you should just give up!”
“Oh, then I think I’ll just keep rubbing your face.” An Lin was already itching to get his hands on Little Xie’s impossibly adorable cheeks…
“Don’t! I’ll tell you!”
Little Xie was struck by panic, and she gritted her teeth as she pleaded with a humiliating expression on her face. “But you have to promise that you won’t rub my face anymore!”
“I won’t rub your face for the rest of today,” An Lin negotiated.
“You! Alright…” Little Xie nodded with gritted teeth.?Today will do just fine. You’re not going to be able to live until tomorrow anyway!
“Alright, tell about how you’re different now that you’re a divine tool,” An Lin urged with a curious expression.
Little Xie replied with a stern expression, “After becoming a divine tool, my Evil-Slaying Sword is now a lot sharper than before, and it has been imbued with divine properties, which will allow it to break through the enemy’s divine dao more easily. If Master is a bit more powerful, perhaps it would even be able to slice apart immortal-rank materials!
“Furthermore, as the sword’s spirit, my power has also increased drastically. I’ve attained my own domain and also a few new sword techniques that can resonate with heaven and earth…”
An Lin was very excited upon hearing this. “What are the new sword techniques?”

“Selective annihilation?” An Lin’s expression shifted.
This was not sothing that could be defended against through normal ans. If Little Xie had targeted his heart instead of his clothes…

A smug expression appeared on Little Xie’s face upon seeing An Lin’s fearful expression. She then held up a second finger. “The second technique is the Vanquish The Heavens and Slay All Evil, Purification technique, which can purify the opponent’s debilitating powers like poison, curses, or law restrictions.”
An Lin smacked his lips upon hearing this. That technique also sounded quite aweso.
“The third technique is the Vanquish The Heavens and Slay All Evil, Depravity technique, which can reduce targets affected by my sword intent to mindless servants that will follow my every instruction.”
An Lin sighed with emotion upon hearing about these techniques. “You can be an angel or a demon. Little Xie, you sure have so diversity to your character now!”
“I’m nothing compared to you. You can interchange between being a b*stard and a piece of sh*t,” Little Xie spoke with a modest expression.
An Lin: “…”
“Are you trying to get your cheeks pinched again?” An Lin threatened with a nacing expression.
Little Xie’s petite body recoiled, but she still kept up a brave facade. “You said you wouldn’t pinch my cheeks for the rest of today!”
“Alright, hurry up and teach your sword techniques.” An Lin urged, “Didn’t you say that you can impart your sword techniques and true intent upon after progressing to beco a divine tool?”
“I did, but…” A hesitant expression appeared on Little Xie’s face. “I’m too depleted to do that. You’ll have to wait until I recover my energy first.”
“Alright!” An Lin’s heart was filled with anticipation.
Da Bai asked as he flew through the air, “Big Brother An, where do we go next? Woof!”
“The place we’re going to next is quite interesting.” An Lin pulled out the map with a smile as he looked at the location of the final Dark Bead.
“What place could make you so excited, Big Brother An? Woof!” Da Bai was intrigued.
“The Five-Colored Lightning Pit!” An Lin announced.
Da Bai shuddered and almost fell from the sky.
He turned to stare at An Lin with incredulity on his face. “Big Brother An, are you referring to the Five-Colored Lightning Pit in the Mythological Beast Sect?”
“Of course! Is there a second Five-Colored Lightning Pit?” An Lin replied with a grin.
Da Bai was getting a little scared upon hearing this. “Our sect’s Five-Colored Lightning Pit is the exclusive body refinent location for Grand Elder Kui. How could the Dark Bead be there? Even if it was there, Grand Elder Kui wouldn’t let us go and look for it! Woof!”
“Your father is one of the Three Immortal Beast Overlords. I’m sure he can open a backdoor for us,” An Lin spoke with a grin.
“But I don’t want to go ho. Everyone tries to rush into marriage, woof!” Da Bai spoke with an unwilling expression.
He just wanted to be a single dog. Why was that so hard?
An Lin patted Da Bai’s head with a aningful and heartfelt expression. “Da Bai, you have to realize that you’re a dog, not a human… You have to learn to adjust and adopt the beauty standards of a dog!”
“No! I refuse! I love human won with beautiful features, fair skin, long legs, and big breasts, woof!” Da Bai struggled with all his might.
An Lin massaged his glabella and decided to bring this up another ti.
“Co on, Da Bai, let’s go to the Mythological Beast Sect,” An Lin instructed.
“Alright, but you have to promise one thing, Big Brother An. If my parents try to rush into marriage again, you have to help ! Woof!” Da Bai pleaded with a nervous expression.
“No problem!” An Lin nodded.
He was a pro at fending off things like this!
Da Bai’s expression finally eased a little following An Lin’s promise to help him.

The mountain was huge, with lush plants and beautiful scenery stretching as far as the eyes could see.
There were dancing white cranes, frolicking spirit monkeys, as well as many people walking lions, squirrels, fish, and all sorts of other small animals.
“There’s no need to go through the main gate, let’s go straight to the inner district, woof!” Da Bai carried An Lin and Little Xie deeper into the immortal mountain.
“You’re finally back, Da Bai. Are you here to marry Qing Hua?!”
A pleasant voice sounded from behind them.
