[Slugs, Don’t Explode—Flip Your Perspective Instead]

There was a Soul Beast tournant in May

Wanggu did coaching back then too

They might’ve exchanged contact info already back then, yup yup

It’s not like they suddenly got close recently or anything

There’s another tournant in November, so they’re probably just prepping early lol

[Comnts]

— Parallel292: Your mom, fuck

ㄴ Parallel046: Bro...

[Show Even a Hint of Closeness]

I’m sending a truck right in front of Wanggu’s house

Think I won’t?

I really will. Just wait.

I said I’m doing it.

[Comnts]

— Parallel011: I suddenly wonder, what must Magia think when she sees psychos like us?

ㄴ Parallel115: Probably feels guilty about her past

ㄴ Parallel095: For real lol

ㄴ Parallel832: Should’ve turreted in moderation...

ㄴ Parallel027: Or maybe she doesn’t think anything at all lmao

... ─ ─ ─ ─ ─ ─ ─ ─ ─ ─ ─ ...

Just like the last comnt in that post.

Magia honestly didn’t think much about whether the Slug Squad was going wild or not.

She never really believed they’d actually go that far.

Because hadn’t there always been a kind of unspoken agreent between her and the Slug Squad?

That we’re Wol-Dung-i who love Parallel VTubers.

Comrades working toward the sa goal.

More than that, the two Slugs she’d recently t in person—

Pino and Movgun, who leaned toward the radical side but still knew how to read the room—helped ease her concerns a bit.

She’d started to believe, just a little, that before the kids went completely feral, those two would step in and take care of things.

That’s why when Wanggu glanced through the community that day and got worried—

[Um, your fanbase seems kinda mad right now... is this going to be okay?]

Magia replied like it was nothing.

“No need to worry. There are more extre types than when you trained the first-gen, but I’ll keep them in line.”

[If you say so, that’s a relief.]

“You just focus on training , Teacher. I’ll make sure the ones toeing the line can’t act up.”

[Okay. I’ll trust you and stay focused on the lesson.]

[(🔴Live) Wanggu Kindergarten Returns – Student: Parallel’s Assistant Manager Magia] 👪8,552

In reality, the stream had pulled over four tis Wanggu’s usual 2,000 viewers, but the chat was still calm for now.

It helped that it was an away appearance, and Wanggu wasn’t deeply tied to Parallel like Movgun was.

[Alright, today’s collab guest—if you’ve watched VTubers at all recently, or even if you haven’t, you’ve probably heard this na at least once. Please welco Parallel’s Assistant Manager, Magia!]

“Hello.”

— Oh

— Huh?

— Welco Magia

— Damn

— Gia’s here

— Jaha

— Heyyy

Plus, while Wanggu had once briefly coached the first-gen, they hadn’t really interacted since.

Their relationship was still a bit awkward.

Charging in too hard would only expose the Slug Squad as total lunatics in front of the entire internet.

To the Slug Squad, the only one who could step up and represent them was Pino.

And Pino, for all his chaotic tendencies, was soone who knew how to read the situation.

Still, if the calm felt like the eerie stillness before a storm, that was probably sothing only veteran stream managers like Magia could sense.

Magia was indeed constantly glancing at the chat, monitoring the simring tension that could explode at any second.

The funny part?

Her eye movents were quick as hell—but thanks to Pino’s god-tier rigging, they were perfectly captured and translated into her facial expressions.

No matter how bold a Slug might be, no one dared act up with Magia’s sharp, watchful eyes staring them down.

Why?

Because when Magia appears in an external collab, she keeps track of every viewer who crosses the line—

Then preemptively bans them from Parallel’s channels afterward.

If a pot leaks inside, it’s gonna leak outside too.

Anyone acting wild in other stream chats is probably gonna be the sa on Parallel’s turf.

And so began a quiet standoff:

Slugs looking for a mont to act without being noticed,

And Magia, scanning and tracking them like a hawk.

This translation is the intellectual property of Novelight.

anwhile, Wanggu, unbothered by the chaos in the forums, gained confidence as the stream went smoothly.

[Before we get into actual training, I thought we could try a personality test. Ever seen this before?]

“Oh. I think the first-gen used it when picking their characters.”

[Exactly. It’s the Soul Clash personality test they used back then. Once you finish, we can figure out which character suits you best. Want to give it a try?]

“Sure.”

In the calm atmosphere, Magia clicked through the options one by one.

Sohow, every question felt like it was made for her.

She didn’t even hesitate.

Preferred character gender – Female.

What do you want to do most during a match – Bold, aggressive plays.

Preferred attack style – Psychological warfare.

What do you want to do when your opponent is down – Psychological ◆ Nоvеlіgһt ◆ (Only on Nоvеlіgһt) warfare.

Do you prefer set-pattern characters? – Nope, prefer unpredictable characters.

Do you like characters with good mobility? – Speed is everything.

High tier or obscure pick? – Obscure, love being underestimated.

Control difficulty? – Doesn’t matter.

Thus ended Magia’s Soul Clash character preference test.

The result?

— ?

— lolololol

— Wow, this is freakishly accurate lol

— lmao

— This test is cracked lol

[Recomnded Character: Alice]

Alice was a character inspired by Alice in Wonderland.

At first glance, she looked like a cute girl in a ribboned dress with twin tails—

But she was actually sold into slavery to an old scientist nad Heart and turned into a full-body cybernetic weapon.

Since Soul Clash featured battles between superhuman fighters, Alice had her fair share of insane moves.

Her signature air combo involved turning both hands into double-barrel forms and unleashing a shotgun barrage.

Her grab? Her stomach would open like a door, revealing dozens of gun barrels firing wildly.

She had a ton of transformation moves, letting her hands and feet morph into all kinds of shapes.

Completely unpredictable—perfect for beating down clueless opponents who didn’t even know what hit them.

In other words, she was a dream pick for Magia, who was obsessed with smoke screen spamming.

A character that let her go wild with mind gas and rapid shotgun fire? Ideal.

But of course, she wasn’t all sunshine and roses.

Wanggu, having heard countless complaints later like “Why didn’t you warn about this?”, was very thorough in explaining the drawbacks.

[So, after watching the clips, what do you think? Do you like her?]

“She’s amazing. I love her.”

[That’s good. But Alice has a pretty fatal flaw.]

“What is it?”

It’s common these days for character-heavy gas to struggle with balance.

Sotis, characters with huge damage potential still don’t make it to high tier rankings,

Because they’re just too damn slow to land a hit.

Alice was one of those sluggish types—

Massive reach and damage, but if you whiff, you get punished hard.

She was built to be a powerful, long-range high-output weapon, and her concept was solid.

But...

If you're slow, you get hit while trying to hit.

Against opponents with fast attacks,

Even if you act at the sa ti, Alice ends up eating all the damage.

So she was never considered high tier.

Instead, she fell into the “weirdo pick” tier—used by cracked veterans who mastered her complex mind ga mix-ups.

Her kit included four basic stances: Standard, Double Barrel, Hamr, and Skate.

And that ant her move list was 1.5 tis bigger than the average character’s.

To play her properly, you had to use every skill at just the right ti.

Casual players had no chance.

If a total beginner genuinely wanted to get good with her, they’d need to study her for a solid week just to be “passable.”

[...So yeah, I really recomnd thinking it over. I can suggest other similar characters anyti.]

“Hm.”

Magia paused for a mont, as if thinking it over, then said:

“I’ll just go with this one.”

[Are you sure?]

“Yeah. I really like her.”

Who was it that took Apolla—a champion nobody ever picked in Naore—and made her show up in the pro second division scene?

It was Magia.

She was the kind of person who had to do what she wanted.

The mont she saw Alice and liked her, there was no way she’d just walk past like a sparrow ignoring a mill.

And this choice made Wanggu genuinely happy.

‘No way this ends in just one day.’

He had a feeling. Maybe they’d end up doing these kindergarten streams for at least three days, maybe more.

[(🔴Live) Wanggu Kindergarten Returns – Student: Parallel’s Assistant Manager Magia] 👪10,242

That, too, with this massive audience Magia had brought in.

They hadn’t even started playing yet—just picked a character—and already they’d hit ten thousand viewers.

Truly a number worthy of soone dubbed the Pazijik Tar of Floating Viewers.

Today alone, a 5x viewer spike!

Of course, it was up to Wanggu to keep them watching, but the fact that the opportunity was here mattered most.

The longer the stream went on, the more it benefited Wanggu.

But on the flip side, for the Slug Squad, this was a disaster.

— Do your Soul Clash, Gia

— Yeah, let’s go

— Alice ti lol

— This ain’t gonna be easy~

They were cheering her on in chat, saying “fighting” and “you’ve got this”...

But the longer the training period dragged on,

The more they’d have to watch this 1-on-1 “date” between Magia and Wanggu.

And the new missions being posted were making their real intentions obvious.

:: Mission ::

:: Win your first match in casual queue – 155,000 won ::

:: Win a match using all four of Alice’s forms – 172,000 won ::

:: Win a round using only the shotgun barrage – 132,000 won ::

They were using Magia’s competitive spirit—her refusal to lose at any ga—

And her tendency to go all-in on anything that benefited the company,

To bait her into clearing these absurdly difficult missions by the end of the day,

So they could force her to graduate from kindergarten fast.

Sure, Magia had almost never moved the way the Slugs wanted her to...

But hey, wasn’t it Magia who jumped into action when Rain had a huge mission dropped on her in the past?

The Slugs had done their howork.

And sure enough—

Magia, who valued business expansion and networking as much as Momo did, said:

“Didn’t we agree to split the donations 50-50? Then I’ll clear as many missions as I can and use my half to pay the tuition.”

[Huh? That’s not going to be easy. Just getting used to Alice could take hours...]

“I’m really here to learn properly. You can be as strict as you want. I want to get good fast and get it down right.”

Wanggu hesitated a little.

He wasn’t worried Magia would learn too quickly and shorten the stream count.

He was rembering what happened when he taught the first-gen and made soft-hearted Maru cry during training.

So of the viewers had tried to pin the bla on Wanggu back then,

And it had been Magia who stepped in to shut that down.

Now, he was worried that if he went too hard again and fans turned on him,

He might end up having to stream an apology video in front of a green screen.

Slugs were already watching like hawks, waiting for a reason to jump on him.

If Magia so much as looked like she was getting emotional or overwheld?

That’d be enough to spark so forced controversy.

But Magia? Crying on stream?

“If I cry or get all soggy or whatever, I’ll do an apology stream right then and there. It’d be my fault for saying I was fine and not keeping my word.”

[Whoa. No, that’s really not necessary.]

“And after the apology, I’ll sing a song to show how sorry I am. If I say that upfront, even the Parallel folks here to see will understand.”

The Slugs could never resist Magia singing.

Even if it was a trot trap waiting to spring.

Parallel’s VTubers weren’t just strears—they were idols, full of music and flair.

Magia singing ant she was acting more like a VTuber than ever.

No way Slugs were missing a chance like that.

They’d capture it on video for sure.

And soon enough, a top-tier Slug made it official with a donation.

:: New Mission! – PIN0 ::

:: Graduate from kindergarten today – 1,000,000 won ::

A statent: I accept Magia’s proposal.

So go all-in, learn hard, and graduate today.

Because if she did, there’d be no more 1-on-1 collabs with Wanggu—no matter the teacher-student setup.

— What

— Excuse , teacher

— Where the hell did he pull that cash from again lol

— Does this guy secretly have no debt or what? lol

Maybe soday, Wanggu and Magia would have a casual chat again during second-gen training,

But that wouldn’t be a solo collab—sa as it wasn’t back with the first-gen.

The Slugs quickly caught on to PIN0’s plan and started throwing money at the mission too,

But with so many missions already in place, the progress was slow.

If only the Chairman would show up.

That’d make the ssage loud and clear to Magia.

And right then, one appeared—

The very Chairman who would raise a flag beside PIN0.

:: Graduate from kindergarten today – 1,293,000 won ::

- 1,000,000 won | movgun

He’d known about this collab for two days and had been seething the whole ti.

Wanggu had effortlessly landed the 1-on-1 with Magia,

While he himself had never been able to, no matter how hard he tried.

But in his blind rage, Movgun had forgotten to check the “anonymous” option.

— 🗡movgun: Shit, oops;

— ?

— Huh?

— What are you doing here, bro?

— ?

— ??

— What?

— lolololol

— What the hell, lol
