"Tch! Isn’t it good that he was reserved? That should be how a Noble ought to act."

"Bahh! Boring!" Zarius groaned. "I was expecting him to shed more light on that mysterious aide of his as well. I’m sure you also noticed... but that is no ordinary fellow. The mask hid their identity, but it could not conceal their noble origins."

"Yeah..."

Lakyus was solemn for a mont.

She knew exactly what Zarius was referring to.

As Vampires, not only did they have the passive racial trait of Kin Recognition, but they also possessed Class Identification.

Unlike the forr, the latter was an active trait.

One had to use it with intention.

"I was initially shocked that the aide was invited to such an exclusive gathering, but after discovering that they were a Noble, my interest was piqued. It seems the Rouge Family also has so interest in the matter."

"Maybe the Blanc Couple has a second child that they are secretly hiding from the world."

"It’s possible..."

For a mont, the two were on the sa side.

It was a rather rare occurrence for them to be in agreent on an issue.

But this didn’t last very long.

"Hmph! Whatever! My decision remains the sa. I won’t work with you!"

"The Rouge Family is really serious about this Mountain Range expedition. It even has plans to involve so Noble Families’ representatives. That Blanc brat will surely be invited, and I’m guessing his aide will be as well. It’s going to be a big deal. Are you sure you want the Explorers Association missing out on sothing like that because of your stubborn pride?"

"W-what did you just—?"

"Look, woman... I will be the first to admit that this job cannot be properly done without both sides cooperating. In fact, we especially need the Explorers Association on this. It can be considered an Expedition, but most of it deals with Exploration... your field of expertise."

"Y-you...!"

"We need you on this, Lakyus. So please... consider working with us."

"...."

"Consider working with us seriously."

"... So what if it is pride?"

"What?"

"I said so what if it is pride?! The Explorers Association not working with the Adventurers Guild stems from the fact that you look down on us! You think our work is sohow inferior to yours because you set forth for uncharted areas while forgetting that many areas we explore, even if they are discovered, are also unknown waters."

"But I don’t look down on your work at all. I admitted that we need you on this expedition, didn’t I? I have no problem with your line of work."

"That doesn’t matter if it’s what most of your people think!"

At this point, Zarius sighed heavily.

He rose to his feet and stared hard at Lakyus, who also had a hard expression on her face.

"You know what your problem is? You care too much about what people think. It’s why we were never able to work out in the past as well."

"Is that the only reason? Last I rember, it was also because you could not—"

"A-anyway! Just think about it one more ti." Zarius quickly raised his voice to drown out Lakyus’s tone, his red cheeks showing embarrassnt for the first ti. "Thankfully, the Rouge Family has given us so ti to decide."

"Hmph! Fine... I’ll consider it."

"Thank you... Whew!"

"I said I would consider it. It doesn’t an I will accept."

"That ans the sa thing to ."

"You pig!"

"Hehe... Look who’s talking..."

"Annoying bastard! Why don’t you go and die?!"

"Yeah, yeah..." Zarius began to retreat while waving a friendly farewell to his forr lover and bitter rival. "I’ll see you later, yeah?"

"Stupid man! Get out of my sight this instant."

"Hehe... Sure."

Zarius left the restaurant, while Lakyus scread with unbridled frustration.

"Arghhh! Such an annoying guy!" All her pent-up emotions finally exploded, and her bloodshot eyes showed that she was capable of murder.

"You there! Pack up this ss for this instant. I no longer feel like eating it."

A few attendants ca over and began to take away all the leftovers—most of which were yet to be touched. As they did this, one more person ca, with her two hands clasped in front of her while nervously speaking.

"T-then, should I bring your bill for you now, Ma’am?"

"Who are you calling ma’am? Am I that old in your eyes?!" Lakyus scread.

"E-erm, no... My apologies!"

"Also, I never said I was done eating! Bring another round with the sa set of als I just had taken away. And hurry with it. I’m starving!"

"O-okay! Right away!"

For a mont, Lakyus simply stood there, fuming seemingly without end.

Then, she finally cald down.

What she was avoiding ca to pass in the end—Zarius had succeeded in ragebaiting her.

’That’s the only thing he is good for in the end...’ She clicked her tongue. ’When it actually cos to understanding and pleasing a woman, he’s an absolute novice. He can’t even get his little dick up... what an impotent man!’

That was, above all else, why their relationship ended.

It was due to this vast incompatibility.

Lakyus experienced a very high appetite because of her Principal Disposition, but this wasn’t limited to food alone. Her libido was even worse than her hunger, which ant she required soone to help her curb this problem.

Unfortunately for her, since she was ten years old, she had never found anyone who could properly satisfy her to this extent.

Thus, even though she was already twenty-five years old... Lakyus was a virgin.

"Damnit...!"

For a mont, she trembled where she stood.

She almost felt like crying.

However, not too long after, the attendants arrived with her food, so she quickly wiped off her tears so none of them would notice.

Instead, she focused on the assortnt of als before her.

’Let’s not think about any of that now!’ Lakyus returned to her seat and began elegantly eating her al yet again—this ti, with no interruptions.

’I’ll focus on eating enough for my journey and leaving this bloody city!’

[A/N: I wonder if we can all see the potential. In any case... let’s see what Richard is up to.]
