Shen Qingyue was modest and courteous, but her attitude was firm. “I am determined to proceed with this project. If it incurs any losses, I will personally take full responsibility.”
Recently, she had undertaken several projects, but the response from the suburban project was the most significant.
President Zhao furiously retorted, “You need to offer up so contingency! Old Shen’s money belongs to the group, and what belongs to the group belongs to everyone! When you spend his money, you’re spending our money!”

His assistant nodded, saying, “It is said that Miss Shen has already started having people work on this project. She has a strong purpose.”
Qin Zhen furrowed his brows and said, “I see. You may leave now.”

Wei Jiu’er walked in, casually asking, “I heard you discussing Qingyue just now?”
Qin Zhen responded with a grunt, “I have set my sights on a piece of land in the suburbs. It seems that Shen Qingyue is also interested. With her involvent, it’s possible that I may not secure that piece of land.”
The value of that land was not high to begin with; it was ant for building factories, and he had the financial ans to do so. Acquiring that land was almost a done deal. However, with Shen Qingyue’s interference, it was no longer certain.
A calculating gleam flashed in Wei Jiu’er’s eyes as she asked, “Is that land crucial for the company?”
“Not necessarily essential, but it’s challenging to find sothing as cheap as that,” Qin Zhen rubbed his forehead and stood up. “Let’s go have dinner first.”

As the auction day drew nearer, Qin Zhen felt a growing sense of unease. If he failed to secure Project Suburb One, buying another piece of land would cost him a lot more money. This was not sothing that could be resolved with just one or two hundred million. After careful consideration, he decided to arrange a eting with Shen Qingyue. He had already heard that her persistent actions within the Shen Group were causing dissatisfaction. By adding fuel to the fire, he might be able to shake her resolve.
Shen Qingyue was reading through the bidding docunts when she glanced at her phone and saw an unfamiliar number. She answered, “Who is this?”
“It’s Qin Zhen.”
Upon hearing Qin Zhen’s na, Shen Qingyue imdiately hung up and blocked his number without hesitation. She did not want to exchange a single word with her ex-husband. She had co to realize that Qin Zhen was probably not in his right mind.
However, shortly after, her assistant entered the room. “President Shen, President Qin called. He wants to inform you that he would like to et you in person to discuss Project Suburb One.”
Shen Qingyue replied, “Tell him that I have already made up my mind about that land. There’s nothing to discuss between him and .”
The assistant nodded and said, “Understood.”
However, within a short while, Shen Qingyue’s phone rang again. Her reflex was to hang up, but she noticed that it was Shen Xiang calling.
She answered the call, and Shen Xiang said, “Qingyue, there’s an event at Qingxue School tomorrow. She’s going to perform on stage. Why don’t you co and cheer for your sister? Show her so support.”
“No, I’m busy with work. You can go by yourselves,” Shen Qingyue had no interest in Shen Qingxue’s matters. Especially when the entire Shen family extended an invitation, it definitely would not be anything good.
Shen Xiang said, “It’s alright if you can’t make it. It won’t delay you. Qingxue’s performance is in the evening. I’ve already talked to Grandfather, and he has agreed. Our entire family will be there tomorrow night.”
Since Shen Jun had agreed, Shen Qingyue had no choice but to attend. What if he was being swayed again by her grandfather’s influence? She rubbed her temples and said, “Alright, I’ll see you tomorrow night.”

After hesitating for a mont, Qin Zhen decided to go. When he arrived at the apartnt where Wei Jiu’er lived, he found that Wei Jiu’er’s mother, Wei Caihong, was also present. His brows furrowed, but he quickly concealed his discomfort.
