The next day when Shen Qingyue arrived at work, she found that various types of flowers were placed on every desk in the open office, and even the potted plants in the corners had been replaced with flower arrangents. She looked puzzled and asked her assistant what was going on.
The assistant replied, “These were all sent by a Mr. Chi. He said it’s to improve your working environnt.”
Shen Qingyue did not say anything. Was he afraid that she would be unhappy about last night’s incident? She walked into her office and saw a beautifully packaged bouquet of red roses with vibrant petals on the coffee table. A slight smile ford at the corner of her lips.
However, her good mood only lasted until noon. Just as she was about to go for lunch, Shen Yiyan burst in.
Shen Qingyue coldly said, “Can’t you knock? Are you lacking manners?”
Shen Yiyan was still enraged and could not care less about such details. His eyes were filled with fire as he said, “Shen Qingyue! Did you do sothing behind the scenes again? Why are several executives specifically requesting you to be in charge of the projects I’m responsible for?”
Shen Qingyue was surprised herself upon hearing that. Could it be that Shen Jun and those people had made arrangents? She gathered her thoughts and replied calmly, “You have no abilities of your own, so you co here in a fit of rage? How pathetic. Shen Yiyan, please learn to handle things calmly. Don’t act like a fool.”
Seeing Shen Yiyan in this state, she truly felt sorry for her past self. She had been cornered by such a person, leaving her with no way out.
“Just you wait!” Shen Yiyan clenched his fists and left in anger.
Shen Qingyue didn’t pay much attention to this little incident and went directly to a nearby restaurant for lunch. However, right after she finished eating, she saw Wei Jiu’er and Ling Bing’er entering.
Ling Bing’er was Qin Zhen’s cousin, the daughter of Qin’s sister. She and Shen Qingyue were sowhat acquainted, though they did not have a good impression of each other.
Ling Bing’er leaned on Wei Jiu’er’s arm as if they were good sisters and had not noticed Shen Qingyue in the restaurant. She continued chatting with Wei Jiu’er, “Shen Qingyue is truly despicable. She seduced other n before getting divorced and deserved to be dumped by my brother! It’s best for my brother to be with a sensible and educated woman like his sister-in-law. If you had gotten married earlier, there wouldn’t have been any problem with Shen Qingyue.”
Just as she finished speaking, she noticed Shen Qingyue, and it was quite a coincidence. Previously, she had always bullied Shen Qingyue in the Qin family. How do you have the audacity to show your face? The Shen family is wealthy and influential, yet they’ve raised a person like you. It’s truly an eyesore.”
Shen Qingyue smiled faintly, her eyes filled with amusent. “After so ti apart, Miss Ling still enjoys spewing nonsense. Is this the heritage of your esteed Ling family?”
Ling Bing’er pointed at Shen Qingyue and said, “How dare you insult !”
Wei Jiu’er took pleasure in Ling Bing’er’s misfortune but pulled her back, saying, “Hold your tongue. Don’t make a spectacle in front of others.”
“She was the one who seduced n, am I wrong? My brother was blind to marry her before the divorce…” Ling Bing’er had never been smart, always being led by Wei Jiu’er. At this mont, she couldn’t contain herself!

While Ling Bing’er was ranting, a piece of cake landed on her face.
Shen Qingyue retracted her hand, her expression calm. “I used to ignore you because of Qin Zhen’s face, but now he’s with , and nothing matters anymore. Do you think you, a cousin, have the right to make a scene in front of ?”
Ling Bing’er could not believe it. Shen Qingyue actually dared to throw a cake at her! She was furious and did not care what she said, raising her hand to slap Shen Qingyue.
However, before her hand could reach Shen Qingyue, it was firmly caught by Shen Qingyue, who then flung her into the glass door.

Ling Bing’er crashed into the glass door. She had always been a bully towards the weak and afraid of the strong. Seeing Shen Qingyue’s attitude like this, she struggled for a while before managing to say, “You’re threatening ! You want to use your power to oppress !”
