When the starship arrived at the ore planet, the day had just turned into night. Yuri was yawning non-stop, exhausted and sleepy. After bidding Tuss goodnight, she returned to her room. Flopping onto her bed, she fell into a deep sleep.
She slept through till the afternoon of the next day, softening her bones.
"You’re awake, Mrs. Hiro." Zeek, who was tending to the garden, greeted Yuri with a smile as she stepped outside.
Yuri, sipping her Nutrient Fluids, asked, "Did Tuss ntion your plan to uproot these flowers to plant crops and lons?"
"Yes, I’m considering it. I sent so soil samples for analysis a while ago. The experts said that our soil is poor, but with distinct seasons. With adequate fertilization, it should be able to sustain crops," Zeek replied with a smile. "Aside from crops, I’m also planning to raise so livestock."
Yuri nodded in approval. "That’s a good idea."
Zeek, pleased with the validation, grinned broadly, "I’ll strive to serve you hogrown crops from our ore planet this year."
"I’m looking forward to it." Yuri sincerely responded.
Just as she was about to find a spacious place to study the newly acquired cha, Tuss called her over.
"What are these?" Yuri curiously examined the big boxes in front of Tuss.
"They are various tals I purchased from the interstellarnet." Tuss prepared to open the boxes with a pair of scissors.
Yuri, upon hearing the word "tal", instantly perked up. "Let open them."
Tuss handed her the scissors seeing her enthusiasm, "Be careful. So tals are heavy and sharp."
After opening five boxes, Yuri retrieved over a hundred different tals. Most of which she had never heard of, unique products from the interstellar.
The tals varied in forms—solid, gel, liquid, and also in colors. They were dazzling and diverse, opening up a new world to Yuri.
"I’ve recently learned how to incorporate tals into my body," Tuss suddenly said.
"You learned it so quickly?" Yuri was astonished. Such talent was envy-inducing indeed.
Tuss, a hint of delight in his eyes, responded, "Yes, I’ve been able to do it since the day before yesterday."
Yuri gave him a thumbs-up, quietly recalling how many days, a month or two, it took her to accomplish the sa feat.
"Why did you buy so many tals?" Yuri had a hunch.
Tuss fixed his gaze onto Yuri’s eyes, seemingly trying to peer into her soul, "Yuri, I want a pair of legs."
"Mm," Yuri replied softly.
"You also need an arm. Let’s choose tals together, complete our missing parts, okay?" Tuss asked, his voice gentle and seeking her consent.
"Okay." Yuri didn’t hesitate and squatted down to pick tals, "I was originally planning on doing this too. I have no idea that you already prepared."
"Maybe it’s because I desperately want to stand by your side," Tuss confessed earnestly.
Yuri paused at Tuss’s ambiguous words and changed the topic, "Which tals do you plan to use?"
Tuss didn’t mind her avoidance, nor was he disheartened. He got down from the wheelchair and joined her in picking, saying, "I’m not sure yet, we’ll have to try."
Yuri nodded, "Indeed, we need to experint and find the best combination."
"Combination?" Tuss mused over the word, "That’s a fitting description."
"I plan to use Blue Keystone as one of the main materials. Its hardness is unparalleled."
"And it’s beautiful," she added in her mind.
"That’s what I was thinking too," Tuss laughed.
Tuss and Yuri, one needing to create legs and the other an arm, temporarily put their cha to the side.
They refined the purest parts from over a hundred tals, continuously integrating and separating, and integrating again... After hundreds, thousands of trials over half a month, they finally found the optimal "combination."
Yuri looked at her newly "grown" right arm, controlling it to make a fist, extend, bend... From the initial awkwardness, she quickly beca adept at using it, "It’s very obedient, even more so than my left hand."
Tuss laughed at her comnt, "Other than lacking the function of reflex actions, in terms of hardness, flexibility, it far exceeds flesh and blood. Moreover, it can change size and shape at will, won’t feel pain, won’t bleed... the benefits are too nurous to list."
Yuri wasn’t sure if Tuss genuinely accepted his tal legs or her tal arm, but hearing his words relieved her. Deep down, she needed so validation too.
"With all that said, where are your legs?" Yuri’s gaze fell on Tuss’s still-empty pant legs.
A trace of nervousness passed over Tuss’s face, he bashfully asked, "Can you turn around first?"
Yuri, suppressing a smile, dutifully turned her back.
One minute later.
A shadow fell over Yuri from behind. She startled, quickly turned around, and t a broad chest.
"How is it?" Tuss’s voice was filled with suppressed excitent, joy, and a hint of insecurity.
Yuri looked up and said, "Were you always this tall?"
He must be around 195cm as her height of 177cm only reached his shoulder.
Tuss nodded, "Alphas are generally taller."
Recalling the Alphas she had t, Yuri agreed that they were indeed quite tall. "Can you walk a few steps for to see?"
Under Yuri’s watchful gaze, Tuss awkwardly took a step, then another, and another... He walked two rounds around the house, each step smoother and faster, until he was striding confidently.
Unable to suppress her jealousy, Yuri curiously asked, "If you practice constantly, will you be as fast as a car?"
Tuss’s eyes lit up, he thought about it and cautiously answered, "Perhaps."
"No, not perhaps." He had a feeling that as long as he kept practicing and improving his Enova, his speed would definitely surpass that of a car.
For the first ti, Tuss thought that losing his legs might not have been entirely a bad thing.
Because of his lost legs, he had t Yuri, and they got married. It was Yuri who gave him Enova.
Now that he had "grown" new legs, he felt that he was in a better state than before he had lost his legs.
"Should we tell Zeek about this?" Yuri asked.
Tuss shook his head, saying, "We’ll find a ti to leave for a bit and say we’re going to get prosthetics."
Yuri also preferred to keep it secret, "Then we should get familiar with the cha first. We can take the cha to go."
Sensing her eagerness in her voice, Tuss smiled, "I’m familiar with all types of cha, I can teach you."
"That sounds great, I’d appreciate that," Yuri said straightforwardly, "I have no foundation, so you’ll have to be patient."
Tuss felt confused, saying, "...You are a student in the cha manufacturing departnt after all."
"Just pretend that I’ve got water in my brain and lost my mory," Yuri said. She couldn’t admit that this body had a different soul now.
Tuss frowned, "Do you really have no foundation at all?"
Yuri nodded, "Absolutely none."
Once they were in the cha, Tuss truly believed that Yuri had no basic knowledge of cha, she was utterly clueless.
Fortunately, her mory was strong, she almost never forgets anything she saw, and Tuss taught her diligently and thoroughly. Coupled with her nightly study of cha, she made rapid progress.
On the fourth day, she was finally able to slowly lift the cha into the air.
On the fifth day, she was able to fly the cha out of the planet.
On the sixth day, while Yuri was practicing real combat with the cha, Tuss’s opticomputer rang. He pressed the answer key, and Rei’s anxious voice ca from the opticomputer, "Brother Tuss, my brother, they’re missing."
