Chapter 71: Relationship At Risks?

An A-tier beta volunteering to help tidy the Sea of Consciousness was sothing unheard of in the Alliance. It was big news!

Being an A-tier ant they were top-tier betas, charging at least five thousand astracredits to help soone manage their Sea of Consciousness.

Even if you could afford their hefty fee, you still had to join a waitlist. When your turn finally ca around, whether or not they’d assist you depended entirely on their mood.

In short, getting an A-tier beta to help with Sea of Consciousness was one word: hard.

So, when everyone heard that an A-tier beta was volunteering to help Tuss with his Sea of Consciousness, they were both shocked and envious.

Indeed, Tuss, an SSS-tier alpha, was so influential that even A-tier betas ca offering their services willingly.

Of course, there were so who shrugged this off, even disdained it, such as Daleks, Ender, and Kilana.

Tuss had Yuri; he didn’t need any other beta.

"Thanks, but no thanks. I don’t need your help," Tuss politely declined. From a young age, he was taught that alphas should protect and care for betas. Even if he was annoyed, he would never lose his composure.

However, the beta was insistent. "No, you need my help. Your Sea of Consciousness is a ss, can’t you feel it? Or are you waiting for another beta? If that’s the case, prepare for disappointnt. Within thousands of miles, there’s no beta stronger than ."

The A-tier beta’s voice was filled with certainty, even pride.

Ender, Daleks, and Kilana snorted, rolling their eyes. Within a re three ters, there was a beta much more capable than her.

In the lev, Yuri was lying on a single bed. She was unperturbed by the A-tier beta’s words, instead, she was more curious about how Tuss would respond.

The next second, she heard Tuss respond, "Whether you’re good or not is irrelevant to . I don’t need help right now, step aside."

His tone was noticeably colder this ti.

Unyielding, the A-tier beta frowned and said, "Tuss, your condition is deteriorating. If you don’t let

help you, it might lead to irreversible consequences. As an SSS-tier alpha, you need to consider the bigger picture. If your wife objects, I can explain it to her. Besides, your wife is an oga, she can’t help you with the Sea of Consciousness. She shouldn’t prevent others from helping you."

The A-tier beta’s words echoed through the lev, as if she wanted to make sure Yuri heard her.

"This one’s up to no good," Ender murmured, stroking his chin.

"She’s after Tuss," Daleks said, unsurprised. Tuss had always been popular, and Daleks was used to it.

"I wonder how this beta will react when she learns the truth. Ignorance is truly bliss," Kilana scoffed.

"Do you think Yuri will hold a grudge?" Daleks asked, with a gleam in his eyes that hinted at a desire for drama.

Ender and Kilana exchanged a look and slowly nodded, "Yes."

At this point, Tyrone and the others gathered around Ender, Daleks, and Kilana, their faces showing avid curiosity.

Tyrone glanced at the figure and quipped, "Here cos trouble. What’s your guess about Tuss’s next move?"

Vernon retorted, "I stand by Yuri."

Jo nodded, "I’m with Yuri, too."

Hoolin scratched his head, "But what the beta said is right, Tuss can not live without a beta."

Tyrone sighed, "In other words, Tuss is bound to find another woman."

His words left the room in a cold silence.

Seconds later, Ender murmured, "We’re here to eat radishes, not to worry about the soil. Stay out of it."

Everyone had heard the female beta. They sneaked glances at Tuss, trying to read sothing from his expression.

But beyond the icy indifference, there was nothing.

He frowned, and said again, "My affairs are none of your business."

With that, he slamd the car door shut.

Whoa. Everyone was shocked. Tuss has just cold-shouldered a high-ranked beta for his oga wife. Incredible.

Poor high-ranked beta lady. She stood frozen, her beautiful face a blend of embarrassnt, humiliation, and fury. She clenched her fists, huffed, and marched away.

Inside the car, Yuri pretended to sleep.

Tuss knew she was faking but didn’t expose her. He leaned in to kiss her forehead, then pulled out a separate single bed and lay down.

Yuri, still faking sleep, rolled over, her back towards Tuss.

Outside, the level-seven commander stirred, asking, "Am I still alive?"

The nurse chuckled, "What do you think?"

Frowning, the commander asked, "Where are my soldiers? And the insectoid queen?"

As she tidied up, the nurse replied, "They’re all around you. You can stand and look. Also, an A-tier beta has just helped you tidy up your ’Sea of Consciousness.’ The fee will be deducted directly from your account."

The commander nodded, "Understood."

Standing, the first thing he saw was the mountainous body of the insectoid queen. He gasped, his eyes widening, his hand instinctively reaching for a weapon. But he quickly realized sothing was amiss. The insectoid queen was dead.

Dead? He sprinted towards the massive corpse.

In his thirty-so years, he had never seen such an intact corpse of a fifth-level insectoid queen.

This body had significant aning for the Alliance. They needed to protect it.

The excited young commander quickly opened his opticomputer, contacting his superiors. His boss was just as thrilled but unsure of how to handle the queen’s body. He had to seek higher clearance.

Officer Lyao, upon hearing about the intact fifth-level insectoid queen in the Fritillaria Galaxy’s Planet 132, asked not about the corpse itself but, "How did you manage to kill it?"

The young commander blinked, having forgotten about that detail.

He sent for Tyrone and the others who had watched from a distance. They surely knew how the insectoid queen had died. However, when asked, Tyrone and the others looked bewildered, "We have no idea."

Hoolin interjected, "Weren’t you there? Less than a minute after you collapsed, the insectoid queen fell too."

Vernon speculated, "Could it be Tuss’s pheromones that killed it?"

"Tuss was there too?" Officer Lyao asked.

Tyrone and the others nodded, replying, "He emitted a strong pheromone, rendering the insectoid queen temporarily incapacitated."

Officer Lyao didn’t comnt on this, but asked, "Was Yuri there as well?"

"She was. And she perford exceptionally well today," Tyrone elaborated, painting a vivid picture of how Yuri saved the day.

Officer Lyao kept a poker face, though inwardly he was grinding his teeth. "Quite brave, even daring to provoke a fifth-level insectoid queen."

"Did either of them get hurt?" Officer Lyao asked.

"No," Tyrone replied, then paused before adding, "Although, Tuss’s Sea of Consciousness is sowhat disordered. He rejected the A-tier beta’s offer to help him sort it out."

"Don’t concern yourselves with him," Officer Lyao snapped.

Tyrone and the others fell silent.

Officer Lyao seed very upset.
