Chapter 130: Do You Know?
In the wellness center, a woman was clutching Tyrone tightly, tears streaming down her face in silence. Her lips were pressed together firmly as if afraid that the slightest sound would disturb her son, and the beta who was trying to fix his ’Sea of Consciousness.’
Others in the room were also shedding tears. Among them were Tyrone’s father, grandparents, uncles, and aunts... even his little nephew was present.
At that mont, Tyrone’s eyes were tightly shut, his forehead covered in sweat, enduring an imnse pain.
"I can’t continue, Satomi, your turn." The Beta who had been working on Tyrone, suddenly stopped and looked at Satomi.
Satomi took over, her face also showing signs of strain.
"What’s the state of my son now, Miss Lewis?" Tyrone’s father asked anxiously.
Lewis shook her head, "I’ve done my best."
Tyrone’s father’s face turned pale, his lips trembling as he asked, "Is there really no other way?"
"We could ask Officer Lyao. He saved the Second Commander, he’ll surely have a solution," suggested Tyrone’s grandfather, ready to contact Officer Lyao.
"Dad, I’ve already contacted Officer Lyao. He said he would arrange sothing," the woman hugging Tyrone said.
Upon hearing this, everyone looked at her in shock, asking, "You’ve really contacted him?"
"I have. I reached out to Officer Lyao through Tyrone’s friend Tuss. Officer Lyao promised
that he would arrange sothing as soon as possible," Tyrone’s mother explained.
Without Tuss, she might not have been able to reach Officer Lyao so quickly.
"That’s good, that’s good," Tyrone’s grandfather muttered, "Since Officer Lyao promised, he will definitely do it."
"But we can’t hold on any longer," Lewis admitted, "When will the person Officer Lyao sent arrive? We can only hold on for another ten minutes at most. After that, we have to leave. His condition is very critical. If we’re not careful, we’re all in danger."
Tyrone’s father’s face turned grave, begging, "Please, hold on a bit longer."
At that mont, Satomi spoke, "Lewis, I’m running out of power, your turn."
Lewis looked a bit troubled, but she took over regardless.
"I’ll ask Officer Lyao when his person will arrive," Tyrone’s grandfather said as he sent a ssage to Officer Lyao.
Officer Lyao responded quickly.
"Officer Lyao, when will your person arrive? Tyrone can’t hold on much longer," Tyrone’s grandfather pleaded, eyes welling up.
"Hold on, let
check." Officer Lyao seed to verify sothing. Shortly after, he looked up and said, "Your help has arrived. Tell whoever is fixing Tyrone’s ’Sea of Consciousness’ to remove their psychic power."
"Really?" Tyrone’s grandfather looked around, "Where is the person?"
"They’ve arrived. If you trust , have other betas withdraw her psychic power," Officer Lyao instructed earnestly.
Tyrone’s grandfather hesitated and turned to his son and daughter-in-law, "Officer Lyao said the person is here."
Tyrone’s father and mother heard him. They exchanged a look, and finally, Tyrone’s mother gritted her teeth, "Then we should head out."
Satomi glanced at them and retracted her psychic power, then hurriedly left the room.
Seeing this, Tyrone’s mother looked concerned. She turned to the others and said, "For safety’s sake, you all should leave too."
The others looked at each other. So considered leaving, while others chose to stay.
Tyrone’s mother didn’t look at their faces, instead refocusing on her son. The next mont, she saw sothing incredible, crying out joyfully, "Look at our Tyrone’s face, his expression... it’s relaxed!"
Tyrone’s father leaned in and laughed in disbelief, "It’s true, he’s really calm now."
Suddenly, the entire family gathered around, exclaiming in shock, "He’s really okay now!"
Satomi was more astonished than anyone. She knew better than anyone, except Lewis, how chaotic Tyrone’s ’Sea of Consciousness’ was.
It was like a world being torn apart and destroyed. Everything was collapsing, from inside out, spreading rapidly.
Even the two ss-tier betas using up all their strength couldn’t stop its collapse.
However, the legendary SSS-tier Beta managed to stabilize Tyrone’s ’Sea of Consciousness’ in just a few seconds.
Satomi couldn’t help wondering, Does the gap between SS and SSS-tiers not represent a grade, but rather a chasm?
Yuri and Tuss quietly left the wellness center, quietly returned to the school campus, and even managed to retrieve their stuff from the library before it closed.
After Yuri left the library, Tuss walked her back to her dorm. It was just like any other day.
In the dorm of the Empire exchange students, Herbert frowned, "The cunning Alliance, she slipped through again."
Theodore didn’t seem too disappointed. He seed to have expected that things wouldn’t go smoothly. "At least we’ve confird that the Alliance does have such a beta. And, she’s a beta who hasn’t been completely marked."
"Do you want this beta?" Jira caught on to Theodore’s implication.
"Of course, why else would I travel so far?" Theodore retorted.
Jira looked puzzled, asking, "Weren’t you here to kill her?"
"Killing her is a lower strategy, obtaining her is the best." A determined look flashed across Theodore’s eyes.
The next day at noon, the contest between the students of Military Academy No. 1 and the Empire exchange students continued.
"Dang, you dare to co back." Daleks looked at the approaching Tyrone and punched him, "You got a death wish or sothing?"
Tyrone snorted, "I’m not scared. I don’t believe she can trick
again."
"Can you see psychic power?" Ender asked, not wanting to crush his spirit, "If you can’t see it, how can you defend against it?"
Tyrone was taken aback, he retorted defiantly, "At worst, I’ll just stay away from her. Humph, the more beautiful they are, the more venomous they are."
"I can’t agree with that." Daleks refuted, pointing at Yuri, "Look at Yuri, she’s so beautiful, and kind-hearted."
Tyrone looked at Yuri, sizing her up seriously, "She’s indeed much more beautiful than Jira, like, by a thousand tis."
Yuri’s mouth twitched as she asked, "Are you heartbroken? Not only did Jira disrupt your Sea of Consciousness, but she also hurt your feelings?"
Hitting the nail on the head, Tyrone beca embarrassed and angry. "I am not. I would rather be alone for the rest of my life than have any interest in such a malicious woman."
"Good, keep your distance from her in the future." Yuri gave him a look that seed to say ’lessons learned.’
Suddenly, Tyrone seed to rember sothing and looked at them with a scrutinizing gaze, "You know who saved , don’t you?"
Daleks imdiately shook his head, "No."
"No, you must know." Tyrone insisted.
Daleks averted his gaze, refusing to et his eyes, and changed the subject, "The competition has started."
Tyrone turned to Ender, "Can’t you tell ?"
Ender nodded, "No, I can’t."
Undeterred, Tyrone asked Kilana, "Kilana, you tell ."
Kilana shook her head, "I’m going to find my friends."
Finally, Tyrone turned his gaze to Yuri, pleading, "Yuri~"
Yuri looked at him with pity, "Given that you were also a victim of this dispute between two great forces... I’ll tell you."
As she finished speaking, her psychic power rushed into Tyrone’s Sea of Consciousness.
Tyrone was taken aback, his heart filled with horror. He tried his best to keep a straight face, but his slightly shrunken pupils still betrayed his emotions. "Yuri, you——"
"Yes. Go to the competition, beat Herbert hard." Yuri spoke in a low voice.
"Yes, ma’am." Tyrone suddenly saluted subconsciously.
