The book explains that there are actually two kinds of beastn.
One is the beastn created by the Beastman God Gush, with low foreheads, faces like pigs, and long tusks protruding from their lower jaws. They always appear as hunchbacked, barbaric marauders and are called Gush Beastn.
The other kind is the offspring of those who have undergone beastification. The ancestors of these beastified people were originally normal humanoids: humans, elves, dwarves, etc. They had their own civilizations but were infected by the Beastification Curse secretly spread by the Beastman God Gush. As their bodies mutated into beasts, they also completely forgot their past, beca dominated by their bestial nature, and turned into slaves of the Gush Beastn.
At that ti, the Beastification Curse could also be transmitted through beastified people.
Lately, after the Great Sage Chen Mian integrated the various universes, and the Beastman God Gush fell, the Beastman Curse was lifted.
However, those who had been infected by the Beastification Curse for a long ti had been irreversibly changed by it. They could not revert to their forr selves, and their lost mories couldn’t be retrieved. They regained their past wisdom, escaped the control of the Gush Beastn, and, when injured by them, would no longer be infected by the Beastification Curse.
But having been under the control of beastn for too long, they both hated and admired the strength of the Gush Beastn.
Although they took advantage of the fall of the Beastman God Gush and the weakening of the beastn to escape and form their own tribes, they still survived by raiding, a thod preferred by beastn, proudly calling themselves the Beastman Clan. They slowly proliferated and gradually split into different tribes, each with distinct beastly characteristics. They were independent yet supportive of one another. However, without a god’s protection, their lives remained difficult.
The druid predecessor who wrote "Beastman Civilization Guide" said, "If the beastn you encounter are the latter kind, offspring of the beastified, congratulations, you’ve found a great spot to earn experience, and this book can provide guidance.
But if they are the forr, the Gush Beastn, then you should fight when you must and flee when you can. There’s no point in trying to civilize them. Although Gush Beastn share similar plundering tendencies with the beastified beastn, the forr have an extre animosity towards foreign species and are very skilled in warfare by nature. Even if they have plenty of food, they can’t change their ways. A well-aning druid who approaches to teach them will only suffer a setback. If you really can’t stand it, you can seek help from the nearest Elf Tribe."
The book doesn’t explain why you can seek help from the Elf Tribes, but Mu Ying knows why; she recalls hearing it when Furris talked about the lineage of the gods.
The fallen Beastman God Gush and the Elf God Correlon were mortal enemies. Before the ancient great war, there was constant strife between elves and beastn – the beastn particularly relished slaughtering elves. For this, Lord Correlon once shot out Gush’s left eye with an arrow.
One could say that the elves and Gush Beastn have been at odds with each other since their inception.
Later, at the end of the ancient era, the Beastman God Gush, dissatisfied with the way the Great Sage Chen Mian divided the universe, went to war with him, and Correlon also lent his aid, deepening the enmity.
Nowadays, the scattered Gush Beastn struggling for survival throughout the world delight in hunting elves.
Similarly, if the Elf Clan knows where Gush Beastn are, they will certainly co to exterminate them.
There is no choice; the Elf Clan’s birth rate is naturally low, and each elf is precious. The Gush Beastn’s rampant killing of elves is an indelible blood feud that cannot be forgiven!
In Furris’s words: "As long as there is a single Gush Beastman left in the world, there is the possibility that one more elf will fall victim! The beastn who have lost their patron god and have no hope of resurrecting one have gone completely mad, willing to do anything for vengeance against the elves."
Fortunately, the beastn in the northern wastelands are beastified beastn.
Although these beastn also enjoy raiding and occupying rich and resourceful lands, they do it rely for survival.
After the Beastification Curse disappeared, the Beastification Beastman regained so semblance of their nature and intelligence. However, their beastial traits remained dominant, and under its influence, they were unable to discover or summarize more civilized ways of living on their own.
In short, the Beastification Beastman lost their creativity and couldn’t create new things themselves. They could only learn new skills by following others’ examples.
In the northern wastelands, the Beastification Beastman maintained the most primitive state of civilization and didn’t even speak the Universal Language. The language they communicated with within the tribe was the Beastman Language.
Mu Ying didn’t speak it, but according to the "Beastman Civilization Guide," since the Beastification Beastman were half-human and half-beast, animal conversation could be understood by them, and thus, she could communicate with them.
It was fortunate that animal conversation could solve the communication issue, or else Mu Ying would have needed to find a Mage skilled in Mastering Language to accompany her.
The "Beastman Civilization Guide" detailed strategies for earning the favor and trust of various Beastification Beastman.
It was quite simple and straightforward, summarized into two categories.
One category was the non-combatant Beastman, mostly those with herbivorous beastial features, such as the Rabbit-man Clan, Deer-man Clan, Sheepman Clan, and certain omnivorous beastial people like the Fox-man Clan.
To deal with these Beastman, you should give them food they like to gain their favor, and then propose to teach them. As long as you give them hope that they can eat their fill without fighting and killing, they would certainly revere you as a God.
The other category was the combatant Beastman, including most of the carnivorous beastial people and so omnivorous beastial people, such as Tiger Clan Beastn, Lion Clan Beastman, and Leopard Clan Beastn.
For these types of Beastman, who worship strength, you had to challenge them and subdue them in a fight. After that, they would obey your decisions, and you could teach them however you wanted.
Unfortunately, the book only described the characteristics and instructional suggestions for each kind of Beastification special trait separately and didn’t ntion how to implent civilization missions when there was a mix of different Beastification traits in a place like the northern wastelands.
Of course, the simplest and most effective thod would be to visit each tribe one by one, subdue those who needed to be subdued, entice those who needed to be enticed, and proceed in an orderly manner.
However, combining her previous probes into the northern wastelands, there were indeed not a few Beastman Tribes there.
Even considering only the Beastman Tribes she had seen before, if she were to civilize them one by one in this manner, not to ntion completing the task in two years, it might not even be done in five or ten years.
Mu Ying certainly couldn’t afford to spend that much ti, so she had to think of a quicker way.
She went through the introduction to Beastman habits several tis.
She noticed a section that ntioned the interrelations among different Beastification trait tribes within the Beastman Clan, which broadly corresponded to the food chain of the animals associated with their beastial traits.
Although Beastman wouldn’t eat each other, for example, Wolf Clan Beastn wouldn’t eat Sheep Clan Beastn, Beastman with beastial traits corresponding to animals higher up on the food chain held higher authority within the Beastman communities.
Despite living in scattered tribes without a unified governnt, the Beastman did have a certain hierarchical system based on strength.
