Chapter 515: Chapter 498: The Pride of the Elf
In the grassy adow among the trees, Layla sang, cradling her accordion.
Mu Ying sat down next to Furris.
“Multiverse City? The Ten Thousand Worlds Trial Universe Contest?”
Surprised by Mu Ying’s question, Furris asked, “You’ve entered the Third Trial World?”
She counted on her fingers, “Have you had the qualification for the trials for two years? That was quick.”
“Almost two years,” Mu Ying said.
To the Elf Clan, two years passed in the blink of an eye; even for humans, with their shorter lifespans, very few could achieve this pace.
Furris hadn’t expected their little goddess to not only excel in reality far beyond others but also to progress so much faster in the trials.
However, she was already aware of the little goddess’s level of effort and only worried about one thing, “What was the star compatibility of your second and third Trial Worlds?”
If she had entered the next Trial World without thorough exploration, it would have been a great loss.
She also neglected to consider this before, assuming her progress wasn’t that rapid.
“Both were Level 9,” Mu Ying continued.
“!!!” Furris’s breathing beca erratic, “Level 9?”
Mu Ying nodded.
“You truly are the pride of our Elf Clan! If this news reaches Avando, the elders will definitely train you vigorously!” Furris, rarely this excited, exclaid. “Even among descendants of the gods, it’s rare for one to achieve Level 9 compatibility in the initial Trial World, let alone in the two subsequent ones!”
“Ah, if only you were born in Avando, you could have earned more Source Power for the Mother Star and secured more trial slots for our clan!”
Furris felt a twinge of regret, but then she thought if the little goddess hadn’t grown up among humans, she might not have developed the personality she had now, nor achieved such heights; this thought consoled her.
Mu Ying knew that among this group of Elves coming to find her, none were Trialists. “Are there very few Trialists in Avando?”
“Including Lord Correlon himself, there are currently 98 Trialists in Avando—the maximum we’ve had is 103, and the minimum is 80. Comparing with other Life Planets, this number is already very high; other planets rarely have more than 50 Trialists. However, we owe this to our long lifespan advantage; in reality, very few of our clan’s Trialists are top perforrs in trials—most are below average, and there isn’t one with a Level 9 initial Trial World. It’s fortunate we have the advantage in numbers, allowing our Mother Star to grow to its current state,” Furris explained.
This precise number made Mu Ying realize the preciousness of a Trialist slot.
In the universe, Life Planets with nearly a hundred Trialists are many, while those with fifty are fewer. And what about those with even fewer slots? Perhaps only ten to twenty, even single digits?
The Trial Token that Grandpa Shom gave her was even more precious than she had imagined!
Although Furris and the others weren’t Trialists, because the Elf Clan was relatively harmonious internally, the internal information about Trialists wasn’t too secretive for them. Moreover, to guard her growth, they also received relevant knowledge infusion at Wang Ting, but they still had no firsthand experience. Furris knew the generalities, but she couldn’t deliver the finer details.
According to her, every hundred years, the projects in the Ten Thousand Worlds Trial Universe Contest differ greatly, all very peculiar, and no one has ever guessed them correctly, so the trials of previous years offer little reference.
However, one thing is for sure: during the contest, everyone enters the sa Trial World, but not all Trialists are in the sa world. Instead, they are divided into many groups, likely into countless parallel Trial Worlds created by the Ten Thousand Worlds Trial.
This grouping is based on factors such as strength, age, and how long one has been a Trialist.
And one thing not ntioned in the manual is that the top three individual scores in the contest get a chance to et the Great Sage Chen Mian, to seek advice or make a wish, receiving very precious gifts if lucky.
A chance to et her idol! Although ranking in the top three among all Trialists is as difficult as reaching the heavens, Mu Ying still wanted to give it a try!
Even though there were still many years until the next Universe Contest, Mu Ying couldn’t help but look forward to it.
“Sister Furris, I might need to take a few days off later. The Elf classes will need to pause for a while, I’ll continue after exploring the Third Trial World,” Mu Ying ntioned her upcoming plans to Furris before leaving.
She planned to visit the Third Trial World, the World of Gods, for the first ti tonight. Not being able to manage the ti difference well and possibly repeating yesterday’s situation, she decided to ask for the leave directly to prevent Furris and the others from worrying.
“No problem, no rush. Take a few months, even a few years off if you need. Just contact whenever you want to resu classes,” Furris said.
To be honest, the ti she spent teaching the little goddess had been the busiest period she had ever experienced. Although there was only one class a day, she was not used to having the sa routine daily.
Mu Ying felt as though Furris was particularly happy about her taking leave, leaving her puzzled as she walked away.
After a tour around the Plantation, she teleported into Tree House 888 at half-past nine.
Upon entering, she saw the sofa fully occupied. Seven people turned their heads in unison to look at her.
“You’ve finally arrived! We’ve been waiting all morning!” Edwin said excitedly.
Mu Ying mistakenly thought she was late. She checked the ti, half-past nine, correct; there was still half an hour until their scheduled etup.
“Why are you here so early?” Mu Ying asked.
“After seeing your ssage, who could focus on anything else? Everyone gathered here this morning, we even had breakfast delivered. Have you eaten? We saved you a portion,” Edwin urged her to co and sit down quickly.
“I’ve eaten, but I can still eat a little more, no problem. Since you ca early, why didn’t you send a ssage?” Mu Ying didn’t see any ntions of her in the group chat.
“You hadn’t ssaged in a day and a night, we thought you might be tired from the trials, so we didn’t disturb your rest,” Vinica said.
Although the physical body rested during trials, ntal exhaustion remained significant; prolonged trials could be ntally exhausting.
Mu Ying nodded, picked up the stead bun and soy milk they had saved for her, and while eating, she said, “What I discovered this ti is a long story. I’ll just use Copy Magic to duplicate so information for you.”
As she spoke, she pulled out a stack of parchnt and a quill, cast Copy Magic, and began controlling it to write down the information she wanted to share with the others on the parchnt.
