Chapter 35: Fighting against the Undead Legion erging from the Cursed Land

In the village of the Cursed Land of the Undead, the situation had beco chaotic.

"Professor, it’s the student who entered earlier, he’s seriously injured!" Two students were running with a body in their arms, fleeing from a horde of rampaging undead pouring out of the portal.

Among them and the undead chasing them was one of the Academy’s top-ranked students, a 3-Star student.

He was fighting the undead legion.

A high-level Dark Oak Eagle asuring over a ter flew among the undead, flapping its wings enchanted with magic or so skill to kill them. It was agile and deadly. Its wings looked like sharp blades in battle, and its movents were clearly trained to move in mass combat situations.

Soon it took flight and looked down at all the undead below it. Suddenly, it fixed its eyes on one of them and began to fly in a straight line.

The eagle crossed the distance in an instant, swooping down on them. Its powerful beak was covered by a strange dark wind, which fell behind it and protected each of its wings and body. This was an attack with powerful penetrating power.

The undead found themselves defenseless against this attack, their necks and chests pierced in succession. And although so were able to strike their swords or cast their spells at the eagle, it was protected by powerful wind magic that deflected every attack.

[Resonance of the Wind that Whips the Dark Oak.]

On the other side of that magic was the 3-star student, Leo. His forte was Convergence Group Magic, specializing in granting shared buffs between himself and his beast, as well as using Resonance skills to channel magic through his companion.

But, naturally, he couldn’t just activate these spells.

Because the eagle had launched itself into the midst of a horde of rampaging undead erging from the portal, it soon found itself surrounded by a crowd of undead that lunged at it.

Its eyes flashed, the eagle seed to smile, and its eyes glowed intensely.

At that very mont, on the other side of the battle and having lost all focus, Leo whispered a few words. "Oak Feather Explosion."

The activated magic quickly spread through his veins, traveling along the spiritual connection between him and his Eagle before materializing in the eagle.

Suddenly, it spread its wings wide. "KYAAA!" It let out a sharp roar as if it wanted to draw all attention to itself.

An explosion of dark feathers, which looked more like oak scales, shot out in all directions and began to pierce all the undead around them.

In an instant, more than 20 level 1 and 2 undead died. Although many more were victims of the attack, not all of them were hit in the core.

Still, this would buy so ti.

"Co back!" Leo shouted, before taking a ball out of his storage ring. "Distract them for ," he whispered and threw the ball, which was an explosive.

The eagle quickly reached him, and the two began running toward the village again, while a distracting explosion rose above the entrance to the Portal of the Cursed Land.

As he watched this, the professor, a muscular man standing almost two ters tall, with powerful armor covering his body, took a deep breath and signaled to the two students in front of him, who were running with the injured student’s body. "Take him to the command center."

"Yes, sir!" The students who were running were the least capable ones there. Both were 1-Star students, so they weren’t needed on the battlefield for now.

The teacher looked behind him. There were about 10 guards in heavy armor standing there and one additional student, a fairly strong 2-Star student.

"Leo has already bought us so ti, but he will need a mont to recover," he said.

The 11 people behind him stood at attention, in military position, ready to hear his orders.

"Reinforcents will be here shortly. We don’t know why these bastards have suddenly gone mad, but we have to hold out. We have to kill as many as we can!" roared the professor, determination flashing in his eyes.

The student swallowed hard. ’The professor is really angry... being as protective as he is of us, I’m afraid these undead are going to have a hard ti for hurting a student like that,’ he thought.

Although, in his opinion, the student was to bla. What was he doing entering a Cursed Land when he was so weak?

Even so, he also felt annoyed. They all considered the cursed races to be scum, but one of their own had been trampled on by one of these races. They had to die!

Therefore, they responded in a firm tone: "Yes, sir!"

The professor smiled. "I don’t know why the Death Knight hasn’t appeared, but rember that this Cursed Land has about seven Wights, so you must be careful with them. I’ll keep an eye out for when the Boss appears," he assured them and turned away.

Suddenly, a giant axe appeared in his right hand. It was taller than him and looked rustic and heavy. It had no fine decorations, but it was very well preserved.

The axe struck the ground and made it shake. At the sa ti, an Orangutan appeared behind the professor.

"UOHHH!" Its characteristic roar ca with a few blows to the chest. It knew it was about to start fighting.

The fire of anger burned brightly in its eyes, as did the anger in the professor’s eyes.

"Bloody Orangutan Fire Reinforcent," he whispered, and magic activated in his body and that of his Orangutan. It was shared Physical Enhancent magic, using fire as an enhancer. He belonged to the Reinforcent Magic Group.

"Co on! Pay attention to your surroundings!" roared the professor as soon as he saw that Leo had arrived safely, and without thinking, he lunged forward.

"Yes, sir!" Those behind him also summoned their beasts.

They didn’t look as imposing as the 2-ter-tall Orangutan, each one had its own peculiarities. But they were quite small, and it made sense.

While the professor’s beast could already be considered a powerful "Young Beast" in its fourth evolution, theirs were barely in their first or second evolution.

Even so, they all had a role to play on the battlefield.

If you are strong, then you go to the front and actively seek out your enemy’s head.

If you are weak, you are still useful. Act from the rear. Cast spells, if possible. Help with reinforcents or simply use your tricks... as long as you have spells, no matter how low-level you are, you have a use on the battlefield.

Even more so if your enemies are miserable low-level undead and you can afford to have such a powerful teacher taking the hits at the front.

All summoned beasts have uses, regardless of their level... unless yours is a caterpillar.
