Lukas gave out a roar and his body was then covered in lightning armor.
The lightning also extended out from his hands, forming a shield and sword made of lightning.
Thud.
He raised the shield over his head, blocking the ice spikes coming at him with it.
When the ice spikes hit the lightning shield, the ice spikes shattered into small shards of ice.
And using the lightning sword, Lukas slashed it at the demonic walrus nearest to him.
Plop.
The lightning sword first sliced the tusk into pieces, and it went on to char and burn through the skin and flesh of the demonic walrus.
Finally, the lightning sword sliced through the body of the demonic walrus, causing it to flinch and twitch until it lay motionless on the ground.
When other demonic walruses tried to lunge at Lukas, they were stopped and slamd into the ground by his shadows.
Lukas then unleashed a blizzard of ice spikes at the demonic walruses.
The rapid moves that Lukas made gave the demonic walruses no chance to conjure their ice walls for protection.
Splatter.
Blood pooled under the bodies of the demonic walruses.
The ice spikes had plunged into the bodies of the demonic walruses, nailing them to the spot.
The remaining demonic walruses gave up after this and they scurried out of the way of Lukas.
This opened a path for him to advance to the front with ease.
Kevin and Lin Fan’s teams had a surge of newfound energy after what had happened.
They started to be able to fend off the demonic walruses coming at them.
Terry’s team stood at the back and gave support to the other teams when required.
Things were indeed looking to have turned for them.
Tremble.
The ground shook when all the remaining demonic walruses turned around and made their way to the shoreline.
And when they got to the water, they subrged back into the dark and still water of Jewel Lake.
There was a mont of respite.
Lukas took the opportunity and looked at the system’s information panel again.

Lukas felt that familiar feeling of his energy getting stronger the next mont.
When it was over, he felt that he was twice as powerful as before.
His energy was also twice as abundant as before.

Now that he was done with the new ability, he thought about upgrading his other abilities.
He thought about upgrading his Physique, Ice and Gravity abilities.
For his attacks, his Lightning Ability proved to be more than nacing.
His Ice Ability would provide protection if he upgraded it.
And if he upgraded his Physique Ability, he would gain more power and healing, which would ensure his survival.
As for the Gravity Ability, it had proved to be more than useful in catching enemies off guard.

After he was done, Lukas felt more than capable of what was about to co at him.
His teammates who weren’t aware were still basking in his ability to unleash the lightning prison.
They felt that the reward of $5 million each was close.
Terry, Kevin and Lin Fan on the other hand, had their own ideas.
They knew the success of this mission rested on Lukas’s shoulders and whoever could stay with Lukas would be able to get the reward.
Ideas started to go through their minds.

The dark and chill waters of Jewel Lake splashed again.
Lukas focused on the shoreline in front of him.
Flickers of light flashed as he got ready.
However, this ti, there were no demonic beasts that erged from the waters.
The waters had parted in half and a path appeared, as if the Apex demonic beast was inviting them to enter. And on the east side of Jewel Lake, the sa thing was happening.
Lukas turned and glanced back at the airplane hovering in the air.
Sherry tapped her fingers.
She didn’t expect the Apex demonic beast to put her in such a situation.
There were three options for her.
One was to retreat.
Another was to send in so of the awakened teams first. They could then have backup to rescue them when required.
And lastly, she could send in a team made up of the strongest from each awakened team, with the others standing by to rescue them and vice versa.
Sherry pondered for a mont.
Finally, the Leader’s words helped her to decide.
Life was all about pragmatic choices.
