Chapter 84: Chapter 80: One God, Multiple Uses (Part 2)

Li Mu frowned, not because he was blaming the Red Wolf for being mischievous, but because this guy had gotten himself all dirty, his beautiful red fur tainted with a lot of filth.

Hearing the footsteps, the Red Wolf glanced back and saw the silhouette of his master, Li Mu. The Red Wolf imdiately got excited, swishing his tail, abandoning the Giant Fang Pig, leaping out of the Wild Boar Circle neatly and swiftly, and pouncing towards his master.

Li Mu was startled, not daring to let the dirty Red Wolf get close. He projected his Divine Sense, instantly binding the Red Wolf, rendering him immobile.

"Woo woo..." The Red Wolf, unaware of how he couldn’t move, stubbornly resisted the unknown power, but struggled to break free, letting out anxious whimpers.

"Hahaha, your master is back, and you got humbled!" Zhang Baiping laughed gleefully, yet secretly alard.

Li Mu’s use of Divine Sense Control — strength and precision — was far superior. Zhang Baiping admitted he couldn’t achieve what Li Mu did, immobilizing the Red Wolf so thoroughly.

Li Mu cast the Dust Cleaning Technique repeatedly, stripping off the filth from the Red Wolf’s body. Then, he pinched a Condensing Water Technique, summoning a large amount of Spirit Water, flushing it over the Red Wolf’s body. Afterward, he perford a miniature Drying Technique, drying the Red Wolf’s fur.

Observing Li Mu multitasking, keeping the Red Wolf restrained while casting spells in succession, Zhang Baiping’s eyes widened in silent awe, feeling an unspecified pressure, struck deeply.

As a descendant of a Foundation Establishnt Clan, Zhang Baiping had Water and Wood Dual Spirit Root, with decent talent, always high on self-regard. Yet, at this mont, he profoundly realized the saying ’there’s always soone better’.

Capturing the Red Wolf with Divine Sense and immobilizing it was already extraordinarily difficult. If he exerted his full strength, Zhang Baiping reckoned he might manage it, but not as effortlessly and perfectly as Li Mu.

However, not only did he easily immobilize the Red Wolf’s body, but he also had the spare energy to cast various spells, as if he was doing it effortlessly and gracefully, practically non-human.

At this mont, Zhang Baiping finally understood why Li Mu, with only Early Stage of Qi Refining cultivation, could pass the Outer Disciple assessnt.

This spellcasting talent was too monstrous!

How did he do it, still having the energy to cast spells while controlling with Divine Sense...?

Zhang Baiping furrowed his brows, contemplating the spellcasting thod deeply.

By now, Li Mu had cleaned the Red Wolf, releasing his control, and reached out to stroke the excitedly nudging head of the Red Wolf.

"Brother Bai Ping? Are you okay!" Li Mu turned and saw Zhang Baiping deep in thought, staring at him, not knowing what he was thinking.

"Uh! Nothing, how did you do that earlier, immobilizing the Red Wolf while casting spells?" Zhang Baiping couldn’t understand and directly asked Li Mu.

"Well, it’s just like that! I really didn’t pay attention to it." Li Mu was caught off guard by Zhang Baiping’s query, not knowing where to start.

"What do you an just like that! When I use Divine Sense Control on soone, I can’t focus on spellcasting anymore. Divine Sense isn’t like a hand, how can it multitask?" Zhang Baiping frustratingly pressed for answers.

"It’s simple, Brother Bai Ping. Try controlling two Spirit Swords, then gradually increase the number of Spirit Swords you control. Naturally, you will learn this technique." Li Mu smiled slightly, explaining.

"Doing that, is your Divine Sense enough?" Zhang Baiping paused for a mont, then asked a core question.

"It’s alright! Practicing for a long ti will get you used to it! The Divine Sense will increase as well." Li Mu hesitated briefly, casually making up an excuse, then realized that the trick he inadvertently revealed might be impossible for Zhang Baiping to learn.

His strong Divine Sense growth was related to the Plant Spirit of the Cui Ling Fruit and the level increase of the Quenching God Technique. Li Mu possessed a power of Divine Sense not inferior to Foundation Establishnt Cultivators. Without a significant Divine Sense enhancent opportunity, it would be hard for Zhang Baiping to replicate his multi-tasking spellcasting skill.

"Brother Bai Ping, it’s getting late, I have to bid farewell!" Fearing Zhang Baiping might ask him more difficult questions, Li Mu took leave.

"Hmm! I’ll walk you out." Zhang Baiping nodded, courteously seeing Li Mu off from the Spirit Ranch.

Soon, Li Mu, holding the Red Wolf in one arm, summoned the Tier One Profound Iron Sword, leaped up, landing on the sword, and whooshed off, swiftly turning into a black dot disappearing into the horizon.

Zhang Baiping watched Li Mu ride away on the sword, his gaze distant, feeling baffled.

Zhang Baiping pondered Li Mu’s words earnestly, uncertain how he could control multiple Flying Swords simultaneously; managing one Flying Sword was already strenuous with his Divine Sense Cultivation, and he didn’t know where to start with another.

"Bai Ping, did sothing happen? Why do you look so lost?" Zhang Shouquan asked with concern, seeing Zhang Baiping in a daze and out of sorts.

"Uncle, can you control multiple Flying Swords at the sa ti?" Zhang Baiping looked up at Zhang Shouquan and seriously asked.

"Probably! Barely managing two Flying Swords shouldn’t be a problem, but this would weaken the swords’ power significantly." Zhang Shouquan thought for a mont and confird.

"Then can you immobilize a Giant Fang Pig with Divine Sense and simultaneously cast a spell to attack?" Zhang Baiping nodded, anticipating this answer, then asked further.

Zhang Shouquan furrowed his brows, pondered seriously for a while, and replied, "That’s a bit difficult! Controlling a Giant Fang Pig’s body with Divine Sense is already tough; attacking with a spell at the sa ti would require an increase of Divine Sense power by two or three tis. I could barely manage it."

"Yeah! That makes logical sense!" Zhang Baiping nodded understandingly.

"Why are you asking

this all of a sudden? Is there a problem?" Zhang Shouquan looked at Zhang Baiping, puzzled.

Zhang Baiping sighed, sharing his discoveries at the Spirit Ranch with Zhang Shouquan, appearing ntally shaken, unable to understand how Li Mu did it.

"Well, that kid’s talent is exceptional, with extrely strong Divine Sense and remarkable control over it." Zhang Shouquan explained with a smile, looking at Zhang Baiping sympathetically: "Bai Ping, the world is vast; beyond the sky is another sky, beyond people are others. Those prideful in Major Sects, Sect Heirs, and Saintesses probably have even better skills! Qing’an Town is too small, and we’re just seeing from a well without knowing it!"

Zhang Baiping was silent for a mont, agreeing with Zhang Shouquan.

Qing’an Town was rely one of thousands of small towns under the control of the Qing Xuan Sect, insignificant. Only by going to bigger places could one et more formidable figures.

"Uncle, I want to join the Qing Xuan Sect and see more of the world in other places." Zhang Baiping suddenly looked up, his eyes gleaming with desire.

"Sigh!" Faced with Zhang Baiping’s determined gaze, Zhang Shouquan felt troubled and quickly advised, "I support you exploring the world, but if you join Qing Xuan Sect now, you’d be just a batch of leeks, cannon fodder, no benefits, and it would hinder cultivating. Stay in the family for now, and wait until you succeed in Foundation Establishnt. By then, entering the Qing Xuan Sect, you’ll at least begin as an Inner Sect Disciple."

"Uncle, don’t lie to ! There are still a few clan brothers waiting to establish their foundation. How could the Foundation Establishnt Pill ever co to ?" Zhang Baiping said with frustration as his thoughts wavered upon Zhang Shouquan’s words.

"You know well! With family backing, you still have to wait in line for a Foundation Establishnt Pill. Outside, you have to rely entirely on yourself. Are you sure you can get a Foundation Establishnt Pill?" Zhang Shouquan chuckled and asked back.

"I..." Zhang Baiping opened his mouth, unable to counter, unable to refute what his uncle said.

Even with family support, getting a Foundation Establishnt Pill was extrely difficult. Relying entirely on himself, he might not get one in his lifeti.

"Get a good job, or find a way to get a Foundation Establishnt Pill yourself. Since you’ve realized the kid’s hidden potential, you might as well find a way to befriend him, cater to his interests, and see if there are chances for so benefits." Zhang Shouquan suggested, smiling at Zhang Baiping.

Zhang Baiping was moved, furrowing his brows, and began to think seriously.
