Barbara stepped out of the building where she had just completed her interview, her eyes scanning the bustling streets of New York. She let out a heavy sigh, her heart still racing.

"Barbara, wait!"

She turned at the sound of her na, spotting Hennessy walking briskly toward her.

"Hey," she greeted him, her voice still tinged with nervousness.

Hennessy approached with an easy smile. "That was sothing, wasn't it?" he said, his tone lighthearted, though Barbara could tell he was also processing what had just unfolded.

Her mind drifted back to the mont only a few minutes ago.

Barbara sat beside Hennessy in the interview room, her hands tightly clasped together. Across from them stood Miranda, the interviewer, with a folder in hand and an air of authority.

"First of all," Miranda began, addressing them both with a practiced smile, "let say that you two were among the best candidates we've ever had the pleasure of interviewing."

Barbara's chest tightened as Miranda paused for effect.

"That being said," Miranda continued, "there can only be one..."

Barbara glanced at Hennessy, her expression still betraying the shock she felt. "For you, Mr. Ford," Miranda said with a professional smile, "in your task to find a car that would suit the host, you purchased a Rolls-Royce La Rose Noire Droptail, which cost a total of $32.5 million."

Barbara's eyes widened 'so it was real' she thought. The sheer amount of money spent on a single car still managed to leave her stunned, even as Hennessy tried to maintain his composed smile.

Miranda then turned her attention to Barbara, whose posture straightened instinctively. "And for you, Mrs. Longbottom," Miranda continued, "you purchased a Lamborghini Veneno valued at $12.2 million."

Barbara, who had been overwheld monts ago by Hennessy's staggering figure, found herself strangely calm. Maybe it was the absurdity of hearing such numbers back-to-back, or perhaps her brain had simply decided to stop processing the insanity of it all.

Still, a small, ironic voice in her head noted that anyone willing to spend $45 million on cars was a complete waster. The thought did not escape her of the hypocrisy of calling soone a waster.

Miranda's smile widened as she continued. "After both of you selected the cars, we asked the client's representative to consult the client for their favorite."

Both Barbara and Hennessy stiffened, their hearts racing in unison as they awaited the outco.

"After careful consideration," Miranda said, her smile broadening, "the client's representative has chosen their favorite. Congratulations, Mrs. Longbottom. You've gotten the job."

Barbara's breath escaped in a rush of relief. A wave of emotions coursed through her—relief that the nerve-wracking process was over, excitent at securing her first-ever job, and triumph at landing a position that promised to be lucrative if the client's spending habits were any indication. But more than anything, she was thrilled at the prospect of silencing her overbearing father's constant nagging.

As Hennessy offered her a congratulatory handshake, Barbara allowed herself a genuine smile, finally letting the magnitude of her achievent sink in.

Miranda's voice cut through the whirlwind of thoughts swirling in Barbara's head. "Mrs. Longbottom, the client has requested that you report to this destination by next week Monday," she said, handing Barbara a small piece of paper.

Barbara, still intoxicated by the thrill of landing the job, blinked a few tis before taking the paper. However, as the initial euphoria faded, a question surfaced in her mind. "Wait," she said, looking at Miranda with a puzzled expression, "aren't I supposed to sign the employee contract with you guys?"

Miranda gave her a polite, reassuring smile. "That would normally be the case," she said, "but your new employers have insisted that they'll handle the contract themselves."

Barbara stood there, nodding slowly as she processed the information. Her curiosity piqued. Finally, she thought, I'll get to et the person with such imnse resources and extravagant tastes. The thought of what lay ahead began to consu her, but Miranda's voice quickly brought her back to reality.

"Congratulations once again, ma'am," Miranda said warmly.

Barbara managed a polite smile, nodding as she rose from her seat. She was still processing everything—the surreal task, the mind-boggling sums of money, and now, the mysterious client she would soon et.

Hennessy, who had remained seated, also stood to leave. But just as he was about to step away, Miranda stopped him with a firm but polite, "Mr. Ford, we'd still like to have a word with you."

Barbara glanced back briefly, catching Hennessy's surprised expression. Then, clutching the piece of paper, she made her way out, her heart a mix of anticipation and excitent for what was to co.

Back on the bustling street, Barbara, now officially hired, smiled warmly. "Yes, it's really sothing. But what about you? Why were you asked to stay behind?"

Hennessy returned her smile, the corners of his lips turning upward as he spoke. "Well, they said they were impressed by my skills and all, so…" He paused dramatically, his grin widening. "They recomnded for another job!"

Barbara's face lit up. "Oh my God, that's so great! Congrats on your new job!"

Hennessy grinned ear to ear, clearly proud. After a mont, his expression shifted, curiosity replacing his excitent. "Wait, I have a question, though."

Barbara, noticing his sudden seriousness, stopped laughing. "What is it?" she asked, a hint of concern in her voice.

Hennessy looked at her intently. "The car. What was your thought process in picking it? I an, I chose the Rolls because, well, anyone with that level of resources would surely prefer a more luxurious vehicle than a sports car. Plus, the client gave this old-money vibe. No offense but I'm still shocked he preferred a sports car, to be honest."

Barbara chuckled softly. "No offense taken, but I get what you an. I would've picked sothing like a BMW or sothing too. But one reason made choose the sports car."

Intrigued, Hennessy leaned in slightly. "Oh? What reason?"

Barbara smiled knowingly. "The description."

Hennessy tilted his head. "Huh?"

"Didn't you notice? Whenever they talked about the client, they always referred to his representative. Even they don't seem to have direct contact with the man," Barbara explained, her eyes glinting with insight.

Hennessy nodded slowly, still puzzled. "Yeah, I rember that. But how's that related?"

Barbara's smile widened. "Think about it. Soone who can organize all this but doesn't bother speaking to anyone? That struck as either a very eccentric person or an extrely focused businessman."

Hennessy nodded again, following her logic. "Fair point. But what made you decide on the sports car?"

"When they ntioned the client recently beca fascinated with cars, that sealed it for ," Barbara said. "Soone who can afford this entire setup is ridiculously wealthy. Soone like that would already be surrounded by luxury, right? If they're just now getting interested in vehicles, they'd probably want sothing thrilling, either an old, rare classic or an adrenaline-pumping sports car. It was a gamble, but I figured the sports car fit the bill better. And I guess it worked out."

Hennessy chuckled, shaking his head. "You're really sothing, Barbara."

She smiled, feeling a rush of pride. "Well, it was nice eting you, Hennessy."

"The pleasure's all mine," Hennessy replied with a grin. They exchanged goodbyes and went their separate ways.

In the cab on her way ho, Barbara couldn't stop smiling. She reached into her bag, pulling out the piece of paper Miranda had given her. Scanning the note, she muttered, "A dock?" Her brow furrowed briefly in confusion, but she quickly shrugged it off and input the location into her phone.

She leaned back in her seat, practically bouncing with excitent. She couldn't wait to start her new job.

But Barbara wasn't the only one overjoyed by the news after telling her people she passed they were two others happier about said news than her.

Her father sat at ho, a knowing smile on his face, as if privy to sothing Barbara wasn't yet aware of. anwhile, her husband was practically buzzing with excitent, already calculating the wealth her new position would bring—and rembering a promise her father had made.

While Barbara was relishing her new job—today being a special day for her, the day she landed her first-ever position—her employer, the enigmatic figure who had orchestrated this opportunity, was also having a morable day of his own.

Alexander Blackwell found himself in a part of the island he rarely visited. The garden stretched before him, lush and vibrant, with pockets of beauty at every turn. He walked past a secluded patch adorned with Ghost Orchids, their pale, ethereal blooms almost glowing in the gentle sunlight. These flowers had been planted by his mother when he was a boy, a lasting testant to her love for the rare and extraordinary.

His mind, however, was far from the tranquility of the garden. It was a labyrinth of thoughts—business ventures, upcoming plans, and decisions yet to be made. It would be hard for any man to maintain clarity amidst such a storm of considerations.

As Alexander continued his stroll, a voice he hadn't heard in weeks cut through his reverie.

"Mr. Blackwell, good day."

He turned to find Sebastian, his trusted butler, standing a few paces behind him. Sebastian had been away on an important mission for the past few weeks.

"You're back, Sebastian," Alexander said calmly, his gaze drifting back to the Ghost Orchids.

"Yes, sir, I am," Sebastian replied, his tone as asured as ever.

Alexander's eyes remained fixed on the flowers as he asked, "I take it everything is in order?"

Sebastian nodded, though Alexander wasn't looking at him. "Yes, sir, everything is in place," he confird, a rare grin spreading across his face.

Alexander stood there silently, the confirmation triggering a chain of thoughts that carried him far from the garden. His eyes remained on the delicate blooms, but his mind was elsewhere, contemplating the significance of the preparations that had been made.
