Chapter 875: Chapter 873: Futures or Spot

"Boss, it’s so lively here!" Ganei looked around with curiosity.

The trading market was like a collection of ragged stalls. The booth they visited earlier by the Ophil Mining Group was decent, but this area for weapon sales was overflowing with a rich cyberpunk atmosphere.

This planet’s diater is about the sa as Saturn in the Solar System. Here, the view looks like a war-readiness center for an advanced civilization’s troops.

Combat-type artificial intelligence and various models and levels of spacecraft densely filled the entire planet’s surface, with large areas reserved as testing zones.

"Boom!"

"Boom!"

Loud noises kept coming from all directions, occasionally accompanied by dazzling flashes and deafening sounds. Even a couple of those countless small stars overhead would explode now and then, showcasing powerful weaponry.

This entire area was contracted by a company called Saelde.

In fact, strictly speaking, they are a subsidiary of the largest arms company in the entire cosmic civilization. The parent company is responsible for selling weapons equipnt through legitimate channels throughout the cosmic civilization, while this Saelde company handles things through more clandestine ans.

Of course, precisely because so transactions are clandestine, you can’t find Saelde through legitimate search, and due to the high risks involved, their transaction amounts are terrifyingly large.

The scale of the Saelde company is less than a fifth of the parent company, yet its profitability is almost on par with the parent company, sotis even surpassing it!

"This place is so cool!" Zhang nglong and Ganei walked along a street made entirely of tal, surrounded by massive warships.

"Yeah, I’ve only ever seen scenes like this in sci-fi movies before, and even then with shoddy special effects." Zhang nglong gaped at the surroundings.

This was the first ti Zhang nglong had seen this level of warship up close. They seed like war machines that instilled a sense of awe at first glance, even the smallest one could instantly destroy Earth’s largest aircraft carrier.

"Big brother, why do I feel like it slls so bloody here?" Ganei frowned slightly, as the people coming and going around them gave him the feeling of being in a killing camp.

"How many people who buy weapons are good-hearted?" Zhang nglong laughed, "Even those who buy them to protect their civilizations have blood on their hands, so naturally, they have a strong sll of blood."

"Let’s go, let’s first get a sense of the market!" Zhang nglong walked along the street, but Saelde’s business was so good that Zhang nglong couldn’t find any staff who weren’t busy.

"Big brother, are you here to buy weapons?" Just as Zhang nglong was about to check another street, a boy who looked about twelve or thirteen suddenly blocked his path.

He looked almost indistinguishable from an Earthling, just with slightly dark skin and a genuine smile that naturally drew goodwill.

"Yeah, are you a salesperson here too?" Zhang nglong bent down and smiled.

"I’m not, but if it’s your first ti here, I believe you’ll need a guide, and I can help you!"

"Oh?" Zhang nglong beca a bit interested in the boy, "You know this place well?"

"Of course, I dare say, besides the staff, no one knows this place better than !" the boy said, "My na is Clark. If you’re willing to pay

10 Dark Coins, I can guide you to the most cost-effective equipnt."

"Sure," Zhang nglong imdiately paid the 10 Dark Coins, equivalent to the price in a Level One civilization, but Zhang nglong didn’t mind. He figured the kid might just be trying to earn so pocket money, and he wasn’t short on cash, maybe the kid really did know a lot.

"Alright, now you can show

the most cost-effective equipnt, right?"

"Follow !" Clark waved, then took out a dirty-looking remote control device. Monts later, a flying vehicle resembling a car flew down from the sky. "Get in, I’ll take you there!"

Clark’s transportation was rudintary for this place, but Zhang nglong didn’t mind and got in the shabby vehicle with Ganei, full of curiosity.

"Sir, how may I address you?" Clark drove the vehicle, looking enthusiastic.

"Wang Sicong, just call

Mr. Wang."

"Mr. Wang, are you planning to buy futures or in-stock?"

"Futures and in-stock, really?" Zhang nglong found this refreshing, as he had only heard of pre-sold and ready-stocked houses before.

"Of course," Clark replied, "You should know that the Universal Alliance controls warships strictly. Each civilization has certain equipnt standards, and only Level Five civilizations can buy warships without restriction, hence our industry erged."

"I know!" Zhang nglong nodded, "You purchase warships through Level Five civilizations and resell them to those who can’t buy directly, making a profit on the price difference."

"Yes, sir, but there are two cases. One is with existing in-stock warships, which can be delivered once you place an order. These warships will still be registered under the original civilization, but they will be practically yours."

"The second is where you commission us to place an order through formal channels, going through ordering, production, and delivery stages, which takes ti."

"I see," Zhang nglong realized Clark’s aning, akin to the concept of pre-sold and ready-stock hos, with a middleman in between.

"I’d like to purchase so in-stock items."

"Sir, I must tell you, futures run around 1.3 to 1.5 tis standard price, but in-stock can cost 1.8 to 2 tis more!"

"No problem, money is not an issue," said Zhang nglong, "As long as you have stock, I have cash! I just worry you won’t have enough, like that other crappy company boasting with no inventory!"

"Sir, what do you plan to buy?"

"I plan to get a batch of warships," Zhang nglong stated, "My civilization’s level is low, but I’ve encountered so trouble, so I have to buy warships through other ans. Of course, if there are other better weapons and equipnt, I’d like to check them out too."

"What level is your civilization?" Clark asked expectantly.

"Just an ordinary Level One civilization."

Clark’s previously excited expression suddenly froze.

Despite the liveliness here, in reality, the average order value isn’t high.

Think about it, if it were a Level Five civilization, they could buy this equipnt through legitimate channels, much cheaper and without risk.

Generally, those needing such warships are Level Three or Level Four civilizations, as they have equipnt restrictions.

But how much money can a Level Three or Level Four civilization have? At most, they buy fleets from a Level Three or Level Four civilization, maybe a few ships from a Level Five civilization if they’re wealthier.

Custors from Level Four civilizations are considered significant clients; they’re usually the ones who would spend money to buy warships above Level Five civilization.

As for a Level One civilization, where would the money co from? They’re probably just buying a few Level Two civilization fleets, right? With that thought, Clark felt a bit deflated.
