"My grandfather again?" Zhang nglong had never seen his grandfather from birth to the present, and in his mind, his grandfather was rely a person from a black-and-white photograph.
Back then, his grandfather was only in his twenties, bearing a face almost identical to Zhang nglong's own, but compared to Zhang nglong's reckless disposition, his grandfather at that age exuded more maturity and steadiness.
"Your grandfather was an incredible man!" Scorolo said, "You should know, your grandfather once created an economic crisis that swept the entire world, a crisis that almost set back the global economy by decades."
Zhang nglong nodded, understanding from the words of the world's wealthiest man that his grandfather had done these things to force those people to return the national treasures and cultural relics that had been looted from Huaxia, and clearly, his thods had worked.
"Do you know how much that affected Europe?"
Zhang nglong shook his head, finding such annoying history the hardest to recall, "Anyway, I just know they all fell apart."
"To quantify it, England's unemploynt rate exceeded 70%, millions of people lost their jobs, a vast amount of raw materials accumulated, and the money originally intended for military buildup vanished due to inflation. The weaponry and equipnt amassed in Europe at that ti were sufficient to launch a half-world-war-scale conflict!"
"But what does that have to do with my grandfather!" Zhang nglong asked, "If they all went bankrupt, isn't that the end of it?"
"It's not that simple!" Scorolo said, "Many of the national treasures that ended up abroad were bought by private collectors, so a significant portion of those items are not in the hands of the state. Therefore, rely through the economic crisis, your grandfather only managed to recover a third of the lost treasures."
"Then what happened?"
"Then the bloodiest era in European history erged, an era that lasted only two months, but it was enough to strike terror into the whole of Europe. Even the bloody era of those two months was never recorded in history!"
"Have you heard of it?" Zhang nglong asked Wang Ling, "Aren't you an arts student? You must be good at history."
Wang Ling shook his head, "I told you it wasn't recorded in history, how would I know anything!"
"Please continue," Zhang nglong said.
"During that ti, those nations' entire focus was on stabilizing their national economies, how could they afford to help your grandfather find the cultural relics lost among the populace? So, to compel them to concentrate on searching, your grandfather did sothing."
Zhang nglong blinked at Scorolo, waiting.
"He, alone, bought up all the pile of unsaleable weapons and equipnt in Europe at the ti—airplanes, tanks, artillery, guns... That was equipnt sufficient to arm the largest military nation of the ti four tis over!"
"Did he use it to fight people?" Zhang nglong asked in astonishnt.
"Exactly!" Scorolo said, "By then, your grandfather was already wealthy enough to rival nations, and he easily recruited a huge army in Europe, an army large enough to flatten Europe!"
"Damn! This is..."
Within two months, this army swept through all of Europe's military empires; they didn't harm ordinary civilians because they didn't need to fight. Wherever they went, even the mightiest nations declared unconditional surrender!
"That's true!" Zhang nglong rembered it was a ti when people could neither get enough food nor sufficient clothing, with countless individuals starving to death every day. Even the military forces probably weren't faring much better.
His grandfather's troops must have been treated to fine wine and hearty als, but those who ca to fight probably looked like starving refugees.
Without enough food, it was even less likely for them to expand their military arsenal. The armies of the entire Europe were probably in a paralyzed state. It was like a fierce tiger rushing into a flock of sheep, a rciless slaughter indeed!
"Hahaha," Scorolo laughed, "What a pity I wasn't born in that era. Only my father had the honor of witnessing everything by your grandfather's side. He said it was the largest war in the world, and also the most rciful. That war conquered the entire European continent, yet not a single person died!"
"Are you saying my grandfather conquered the whole of Europe?" Zhang nglong couldn't help but stand up. Back in Asia, their family was only known for being rich, but this was entirely different from conquering a continent!
"Yes!" Scorolo said, "All the countries of Europe announced unconditional subjugation. As long as a mber of your family sets foot in any country in Europe, they have the status of an Emperor of the imperial era. So today, at my single word, all the available military forces in Europe have co to escort you."
"Damn... I'm hearing a fantasy story!" Wang Ling's ntality completely collapsed. Zhang nglong's family had conquered all of Europe? This... This was outrageous!
At that mont, Scorolo suddenly laughed, "So you can imagine what the birth of you and your father ant for the whole of Europe."
"This is the birth of Europe's heir!" Wang Ling outright spoke for Zhang nglong.
"Yes, when your father was born, the entire Royal Family of Europe queued up hoping to arrange an infant betrothal for your father. Even that night, the Royal Families of Europe started a fierce baby-making campaign; every castle of the Royal Family was almost shaking from the activity!"
"Hahaha!" Hearing this, Wang Ling couldn't help but laugh out loud. This description was quite apt!
"The entire Royal Family of Europe used to value males over females, but since then, every Queen who gave birth to a daughter received awards. Although the hopes were slim, there was still a glimr of hope!"
"What about when he was born?" Wang Ling pointed at Zhang nglong and asked.
"When the young master was born," Scorolo couldn't help but chuckle, "that year, the Royal Family of Europe even temporarily reinstated polygamy for a short period. That night, the whole of Europe was shaking!"
"Hahahahaha!" Wang Ling laughed boisterously, slapping his thigh vigorously. The description was exaggerated, but it clearly portrayed the significant impact Zhang nglong's birth had on Europe.
"Let
introduce you," Scorolo said, pointing to a girl who was cleaning vases in front. She appeared to be only seventeen or eighteen years old, "She is Princess Irina from Gulregburg, and in their generation, she is ranked 87th!"
"What the hell!" Zhang nglong did the math; this Princess was about three or four years younger than him. In just these three or four years, the Emperor of Gulregburg had fathered at least 87 children. Was he acting like a breeding boar?
"If we calculate the probability of pregnancy, the Emperor would be exhausted to the brink of extinction!"
"Isn't that so?" Scorolo laughed, "Their Emperor died of renal failure three years after the birth of Irina. And the female mbers of their Royal Family, in the hopes of catching your eye one day, have been nurtured since childhood with the finest things to maintain their body and beauty. Their country is now deeply in debt because of this!"
Listening to this absurd story, Wang Ling couldn't help shaking his head and sighing, "What a disaster..."
