This was Zhang nglong's first ti being so furious. Not only had he faced an assassination attempt, but the offer was also ridiculously low—200 billion US dollars, rely close to the total assets of the world's wealthiest person. That price might be understandable for assassinating Poladi, but him? They'd better add a few more zeros before talking!

Despite facing a powerful surge of electricity, Zhang nglong's plane was built with ultimate safety features, so it wasn't severely damaged. It just needed minor repairs and was still fully capable of flying under the current circumstances.

The captain of Zhang nglong's aircraft was none other than the famous Captain Sully, who had once managed an ergency landing on the sea with multiple engines out, successfully saving everyone on board. Now, he had beco Zhang nglong's dedicated pilot.

With a familiar sll of kimchi, Zhang nglong once again returned to Qingqiu Country and to that familiar residence.

"Mr. Zhang, why have you co back again?" The housekeeper in charge of the building was overseeing the tidying of the rooms. Zhang nglong was supposed to be almost back in Huaxia by now. Why had he suddenly returned?

"No worries, just a few friends I can't stop thinking about, and I wanted to visit," Zhang nglong replied with a smile.

"Mr. Zhang really has great connections, having so many friends even in Qingqiu Country."

"You go and rest. I might need to stay here for another day," Zhang nglong said.

The housekeeper nodded, then left the room with the dostic staff.

"Hong Yi, do you know what Su Zhihe and his people are up to now?" Zhang nglong asked.

"There is a high-level Qingqiu gathering tonight," Hong Yi replied. "If the Sorens' assassination attempt had been successful tonight, it would have been a celebration party. They were all ready to sing and dance in celebration of having eliminated you as a threat, Mr. Zhang."

"Hahahaha, I'm sorry to disappoint them," laughed Zhang nglong. "In that case, as the main character, I must make an appearance. Otherwise, how disappointed they would be!"

"Mr. Zhang, the party will be held at the Hawke Palace Hotel at 6:30 this evening. Almost half of Qingqiu Country's upper echelons will attend, giving you half a day to prepare."

"Call Lee Ji-eun for ," Zhang nglong said. "Prepare two suits; attending a dinner party always requires a presentable companion."

"Miss Lee Ji-eun will certainly be delighted. I'll contact her right now!"

...

"Strange, by this ti, Zhang nglong should have been dead. Why hasn't there been any news from there?" Su Zhihe anxiously paced back and forth in his room.

From what he knew about the Wind Nest, if they targeted a president of a major country, it was as easy as picking sothing out of a bag. To this date, there had been only one mission failure, and most people believed that to be a fluke. Such an accident might happen once, but surely not a second ti?

But at that mont, Su Zhihe suddenly rembered sothing Zhang nglong had said when returning to his country—there seed to be an implied aning in his words. This feeling always unsettled him.

"Sssssss..." Suddenly, a strong gust of wind swept past his office window, and a glowing Lightning Orb burst through the tightly closed glass. A silhouette erged from the thunder and lightning.

This person had high-voltage electricity flowing through his body, his eyes emitting an unnatural blue glow as if he were a mythical figure stepping out of a legend.

Yet strangely, this person was covered in blood, the stains dried as if he had just fought his way out of a blood-drenched battlefield, exuding a strong scent of blood.

"Are you from the Wind Nest?" Su Zhihe quickly reacted. Though he had never seen such a person before, in his worldview, such beings existed; thus, despite the incredible scene before him, he could wholly accept it after his initial shock.

"Is Zhang nglong dead?" Su Zhihe asked eagerly. "I know your people from the Wind Nest have the highest success rate in assassinations!"

"Zhang nglong is not dead," Sorens replied in a sowhat grim tone.

"What? He isn't dead? Then why did you co here? Is that all the strength your organization has?"

Su Zhihe seed to have forgotten that he was speaking to a mutant endowed with a power incomprehensible to ordinary humans. In his mind, he was a minister of a nation and the principal client in this business deal, and he saw nothing inappropriate in his tone.

"It's not for you to comnt on whether our organization is strong or not," Sorens said, "but this ti, I ca here to kill you!"

"What did you say?" Su Zhihe suddenly realized that he was standing in front of an extrely powerful and terrifying superhuman who wanted to kill him, and not even the protection of an ard military force could give him the slightest hope of survival.

"Why...why?"

"I couldn't kill Zhang nglong," Sorens did not lie, "the power by his side was far more formidable than what your data provided, and I almost died on his plane!"

Sorens pointed to his blood-soaked clothes and said, "See this? This is my blood!"

"If...if you couldn't kill him... then... let's just end this matter here and think of another way..."

"I told you, I'm not here to report on the mission's progress!" Sorens said, "Zhang nglong is spending 10 Huaxia dollars to buy your life!"

"What? You can't..."

A surge of electricity flashed through Su Zhihe's body; before he could finish his words, the potent current had already stopped his heart, leaving his face frozen in its last expression.

"Although it goes against my professional ethics, this is the only condition under which my organization and I can survive," Sorens said with a bitter smile before pulling out a piece of paper from his pocket and leaving it on Su Zhihe's desk.

It was an invoice from Qingqiu Country; the item listed was "Assassination
