Chapter 1369: Chapter 1373: Gotta Take So Photos, Right?
"Alright, stop gaping, close your mouth, your jaw’s about to drop!" Zhang nglong casually lifted the chin of a martial artist next to him.
"Mr. Zhang... what exactly is your realm?" Those people looked at Zhang nglong with admiration in their eyes.
To be able to slap and kill a Supre Deity just like that, and yet Zhang nglong could easily tear off an arm with a casual move, forcing it to flee without daring to continue fighting. Is there a realm higher than the Supre Deity? What could it be?
Also, just who or what were the owner of that eye and arm?
"What on earth was that thing, do you guys know?" Zhang nglong gazed at the vanished crack in the sky. Although the crack had completely disappeared, it left behind a trail of dust a million light-years long, a relic composed of countless shattered planetary debris.
People from various high-grade worlds shook their heads. If they knew what it was, they wouldn’t have been so shocked.
"Mr. Zhang, if you want to know about that, I’m afraid you’ll have to ask the older Supre Deities. This is beyond the truth of the worlds we can touch."
For them, today was no different than opening the door to a new world, making them realize that these high-grade worlds might not be the end after all.
"Gou Dan, what do you think?" Zhang nglong asked.
[Dean, that’s the origin world, the true world,] Gou Dan replied.
"Huh?" Zhang nglong was even more confused, "The true world, is our world fake then? Am I just a virtual character?"
[Not exactly, our worlds were all created by that origin world!]
"Is that so?" Zhang nglong’s pupils shook, "Go on, explain more?"
[I don’t know all the specifics either, I only know that all our worlds, whether high-grade or low-level, are rely test grounds for that origin world. So eventually went out of control. I just learned a little before it was passed on to the next Zhang guy.]
"You’ve really piqued my curiosity," Zhang nglong mumbled to himself, "Really feel like seeing it! No idea how to get to that damned place though."
"Hmm? Looks like more are coming!" Zhang nglong’s gaze was drawn to the edge of Universe Seven.
As soon as he spoke, a new group entered Universe Seven, several n and won dressed in robes of various colors. They looked plain, yet carried ancient, profound power.
"Supre Deities! Seven Supre Deities!"
"Which world do these rulers belong to?"
"Sorry, we didn’t an to intrude, but we sensed the presence of an Observer, which led us here," said a middle-aged man in a gray robe.
"Observer? The owner of that thing?" Zhang nglong pointed at the giant arm.
"This..." The seven stared dumbfounded at the severed arm, unimaginably vast, still oozing golden blood, "Soone injured the Observer? That’s... unbelievable! Who did this?"
Everyone directed their gaze at Zhang nglong.
"You’re Zhang nglong?" Clearly, the seven had heard of him, "That large-scale hacking across hundreds of high-grade worlds was your doing, wasn’t it?"
"You people seem to know about it," Zhang nglong said, pointing at the sky.
"Yes, we do know a bit," the person in the black robe nodded.
"What should I call you all?" Zhang nglong asked.
"Just call
Gray," said the man in the gray robe, "For people like us, nas are rely codenas, nothing worth rembering."
"Let’s switch locations!" The Supre Deity in the blue robe waved a hand, and they imdiately appeared in an independent bubble situated in a crevice of a high-grade world’s bubble.
This place resembled an altar, seemingly man-made.
"This seems to be quite confidential," Zhang nglong frowned slightly.
"Yes, what you injured was an Observer, beings that transcend this world, true perfect life forms!"
"Perfect my ass, I’m the Ultimate Lifeform!" Zhang nglong internally retorted.
"Do you know about the Main World?"
"Yes, heard a bit, but not much," Zhang nglong replied.
"They are creatures of the Main World. All our worlds are their testing grounds. As for their purpose, no one knows yet," Gray said, "But one thing is certain: they pay close attention to our testing grounds, and when sothing piques their curiosity, they show up!"
"I suppose your Universe Seven’s rapid upgrade from a low-level world to a high-grade world caught their attention, prompting today’s Observer visit."
"Observers rarely appear, but when they do, their goal is invariably one of two things," said the white-robed one among the seven, "One is to kill, the other is to destroy entire worlds!"
"What is their purpose?"
"It’s not hard to guess," the white-robed one explained, "If you were the owner of a farm and sothing erged that threatened you, what would you do?"
"Of course I’d eliminate it..." Zhang nglong started, then realized the point, still unsure of the aning behind their world’s existence.
If they intend to destroy, why create in the first place? Were they created just for destruction?
"Do you have a way to reach that world?" Zhang nglong inquired.
"Yes!" Gray replied, "The Main World can’t be accessed unless rewarded by one of their own directly, but we’ve searched a long ti and found a path to infiltrate it."
"Sounds like quite the thrill, like... uh... illegal entry."
"Sowhat like that," Gray nodded, "Though so went, no one ever returned, leaving whether they succeeded or perished unknown."
"This ti, we plan on taking a look," stated the white-robed one.
"Aren’t you afraid of dying?" Zhang nglong asked curiously, guessing their chances were slim, akin to his own experience in the World of the Dead.
"What’s there to fear about death," they suddenly laughed, "We’ve lived so long, to be honest, we’re a bit tired of it. It sparks interest in peculiar things, mysteries we’ve spent ages investigating."
"Mind if I tag along? Show
the ropes?" Zhang nglong eagerly proposed.
"That would be wonderful!" The robed figures displayed delighted expressions.
Although not seen firsthand, the reactions of others evidently confird Zhang nglong’s capability against the Observer, boosting their confidence for the journey ahead with him.
"But be well-prepared, this won’t be a leisurely trip!"
"When do we leave?" Zhang nglong asked, "What should I prepare? Cara gear? Selfie stick? Aerial drone perhaps? Two thousand gapixels, explosion-proof, shock-resistant, even Saints couldn’t break it!"
"Uh... we’re risking our lives, not going on a vacation." They eyed Zhang nglong’s seemingly useless suggestions, suddenly questioning if bringing him was the right move.
"Well, isn’t there a difference? Visiting such an intriguing place, wouldn’t you want to capture so mories?"
