Chapter 1262: Chapter 1256: A Billion Little Tokens of Gratitude
Zhang nglong had no idea how many days he had been unconscious. Logically, the tearing force of the space-ti tunnel was sothing even a Saint couldn’t withstand, so when Zhang nglong collided with it, he was basically considered dead.
Under normal circumstances, Zhang nglong could have just hidden in the Super God Academy, and it would have been fine. But back then, he was dead drunk, his mind unclear, and he had already lost consciousness when he was swept away.
Yet, at the critical mont, Gou Dan summoned a teacher from the Super God Academy to act as a cushion for Zhang nglong. Zhang nglong hadn’t even reached the minimum level of a High-Grade Life Form, which was the Void Transformation Realm, so the teacher from the Super God Academy could at most be at the Peak of God-breaking, unable to resist the power of the space-ti forces.
However, there was a significant bug: the teachers who were bound to the Super God Academy wouldn’t die. Even if their bodies were crushed, they would recover in the Super God Academy. So, as they did their utmost to protect the area, Zhang nglong survived, but he was left with only a breath.
Nonetheless, with Zhang nglong’s top-level bloodline and Life Levels, as long as he had one breath left, his body could slowly recover. Even regrowing a severed arm would only take a mont, although the injury this ti was indeed severe.
Zhang nglong opened his eyes, and besides a beautiful face, what greeted him was a bloody large mouth.
"What is this?" A Heaven-breaking Realm Warcraft, Zhang nglong could kill with a single punch, but now he was so weak that he could barely lift his hands.
Fortunately, he still could use his spiritual power. With a quick thought, the sand on the ground instantly ford two sharp blades, which, under the control of his spiritual power, slashed along the mouth of the Land Shark.
In an instant, blood splattered everywhere, and four chunks of the corpse fell in four directions. Yet, at the very center, Zhang nglong and the girl were unhard, not even stained by a drop of blood.
"Damn, how did I get this weak?" Zhang nglong wanted to stand up, but he barely had the strength to lift his hand. After examining himself, he realized that nearly all his tendons and bones were broken, and his body was connected like a shattered porcelain doll by so force, susceptible to shattering upon any impact.
"Kid, you didn’t die, that’s a miracle in itself, as bad luck does seem to last forever, but if they want your life, no way!" Zhang nglong’s narrow escape made Xiao Bai very excited, as the space-ti forces did not affect his Soul Body.
"But this ti you lost quite a few puppets, a bloody loss..." Strictly speaking, those teachers of the Super God Academy couldn’t be considered pure life forms anymore, so in Xiao Bai’s view, they were just puppets.
"What a disaster, I must drive and steer ships properly in the future, never to indulge in such perilous antics again," Zhang nglong said, still shaken, having been so close to death.
Zhang nglong imdiately used his spiritual power to place an elixir in his mouth. The dense dicinal power began imdiately to repair his body. Even with Zhang nglong’s incredible regenerative abilities, it would take at least ten days to half a month to heal from this severe injury.
"What’s the situation now?" Zhang nglong observed his surroundings.
"Consider yourself lucky to have encountered this kind-hearted girl. If she hadn’t insisted on carrying you on when you still had a breath, you might have already ended up in the stomachs of those desert Warcraf, even if the space-ti forces hadn’t torn you apart."
"She saved !" Zhang nglong noticed the girl wearing the white long dress beside him.
At that mont, the girl also opened her eyes. Just a mont ago, it was the bloody mouth of the Land Shark, and now it had beco four chunks of pieces – she had narrowly escaped death!
"Sister Bing Bing!" At this mont, the other boys and girls around them gathered the courage to rush over.
"Sister Bing Bing, are you alright?"
"Oh my god, what happened? How did the Land Shark suddenly die?"
"It must have been an expert intervening; I just felt a strong spiritual power, at least of the Mystic-Breaking level, perhaps even of the God-breaking Realm."
"I felt it too. An expert must’ve passed by and helped us secretly; we’re incredibly fortunate."
Everyone looked like they had narrowly escaped death, and no one considered that the mysterious master would be none other than Zhang nglong, who seed like a cripple lying motionless on the ground.
"Master, could you reveal yourself?" The girl turned around but received no response.
"Sister Bing Bing, maybe this master has already left."
"Thank you, Master, for saving my life. I, Xi Ningbing, express my gratitude to you." The girl bowed in all four directions, then squatted down to check on Zhang nglong.
Zhang nglong was looking at her wide-eyed, making her both surprised and delighted.
"You’re awake?"
"Oh my, with injuries this severe, not only are you not dead, but you ca back to life?"
"This is nothing short of a dical miracle!"
All the boys and girls showed looks of disbelief, for they thought that Zhang nglong, left with just one breath, could drop dead at any mont; surviving was indeed a miracle.
"How are you feeling?"
"I still can’t move," Zhang nglong said helplessly. "Thank you all for saving my life. May I know your nas?"
"Who we are doesn’t matter," a girl said. "We all advised Sister Bing Bing not to bring you along, but she insisted on bringing you, even taking such a huge risk earlier. If it wasn’t for that mysterious master, Sister Bing Bing would have been killed because of you."
The girl’s words were filled with reproach, but she was genuinely concerned for the girl she called Sister Bing Bing and held no malice toward Zhang nglong.
"I just heard, Miss, your na is Xi Ningbing?" Zhang nglong morized this na; he dared not rember the nas of other girls, but if he forgot the na of his savior, it would seem ungrateful.
"I am Zhang nglong. Thank you for your great kindness in saving my life." Zhang nglong said.
"Zhang nglong? What a strange na. You must not be from the Central State Continent, right? Why did you end up like this?" Xi Ningbing asked curiously.
"Unlucky, really. I got caught in a Space-Ti Storm while on a spaceship; the cabin was hit, and I got swept here by the storm," Zhang nglong said helplessly.
"Space-Ti Storm? Oh my, I’ve never heard of anyone surviving being caught in a Space-Ti Storm."
"No wonder he’s so severely injured, but considering everything, this is probably the best outco."
"Yes, but being able to ride a space-ti ship, he must not be ordinary, right? Even the closest two space-ti transfer points would cost tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of Sacred Gold to travel between."
"We saved him; if he knows gratitude, he should at least express his thanks, right?"
"What’s wrong with you all?" Xi Ningbing showed an unhappy expression. "Did we save soone just for gratitude?"
"We’re just saying."
"Hahaha, yes, Sister Bing Bing, it really has nothing to do with us. If he wants to thank anyone, it’s you. We won’t take any credit."
"The logic may be straightforward," Zhang nglong, being a very sincere person, said. "Considering you risk everything to save , my life is much more valuable than any worldly possessions."
Having just swallowed an elixir, Zhang nglong’s arm was now barely movable. He made a show of searching himself, then took out a ring and handed it to Xi Ningbing.
"They are correct, Miss Ningbing; here are 100 Starstones and a cash exchange check for 20 billion Sacred Gold, which is just a token of my appreciation."
