After several days of auditions, the directorial team had completed the selection of actors and was now ready to start drafting the filming schedule. With the finest team on board, Zhang nglong naturally did not need to worry too much.
As a private plane landed at the airport in Magic City, a luxurious Rolls-Royce headed towards the western suburbs.
"Hong Yi, where are we going?"
"Where else but to your residence," said Hong Yi.
"My residence? The suburbs?" Zhang nglong still thought that his residence in Magic City should be the legendary First-grade, a landmark building that frequently appeared in novels and was a symbol of the super-rich. Such a place, he thought, should befit his standing.
"Don't I have any property at First-grade?" Zhang nglong couldn't help but ask.
"Mr. Zhang, the best five floors of Building 1 at First-grade are all yours."
"You scared , I thought I wasn't worthy of it!" Zhang nglong sighed in relief, "But why are we heading towards the western suburbs?"
"This ti, Mr. Zhang is hosting guests, so of course, it can't be at an ordinary place," Hong Yi explained.
"Ordinary? You call a place like First-grade ordinary?" Zhang nglong instantly fell speechless. An average apartnt at First-grade cost about 230,000 per square ter; even a simple apartnt there would cost tens or even hundreds of millions. Could such a place now be considered 'ordinary'?
"Then where are we going?"
"Mr. Zhang, we're almost there."
No sooner had the words left his mouth than the car entered a villa district.
"Holy cow, is this Tan Palace Villa?" Zhang nglong saw the conspicuous sign.
"Yes, Mr. Zhang. I thought it would be more appropriate for hosting your guests here," replied Hong Yi.
Although Tan Palace Villa was not as famous as First-grade, its price was even more terrifying, averaging over 300,000, with all villas having areas of more than 1,000 square ters—aning that the price of any villa here was calculated in hundreds of millions.
"Indeed, it matches my status," Zhang nglong nodded in satisfaction.
"There are only 18 villas here. Considering you won't frequent this spot, we have only purchased the central one for you, which covers about 3,000 square ters. It should be enough for your use."
"Damn, isn't that almost a billion?" Zhang nglong was utterly astonished—such places, ordinary people couldn't even fathom.
In this villa, the decoration was still luxurious. Zhang nglong even saw several paintings by art masters which, he estimated, probably cost several tis more than the villa itself.
However, by then Zhang nglong had gradually accepted this wealth, and did not seem too surprised. After all, these were all normal proceedings, nothing too exceptional.
"By the way, what ti is Zhou Juelun coming? Wang Ling said he scheduled it for today," Zhang nglong lay on the sofa, relishing the comfort and sowhat reluctant to get up.
"He should be arriving soon. Mr. Zhou Juelun's plane is estimated to land around 10 o'clock. I have already sent soone to pick him up."
"Reliable!" Zhang nglong glanced at the ti, guessing there was still over an hour before Zhou Juelun would arrive. He hadn't had enough sleep in the morning and decided to catch up on so more, after all, he was still growing.
...
"Juelun, aren't we here in Magic City to discuss copyrights with Tengxun?" Zhou Juelun's assistant sat in the rapidly moving car, eyeing the driver dressed like a mafia mber with a strange feeling.
They had just gotten off the plane when a group had been waiting for them at the airport, thereafter inviting them into the car. Zhou Juelun's assistant had never received any related notice, hence she looked sowhat baffled.
"No worries, we're going to make a friend," this eting had been privately arranged by Wang Ling with Zhou Juelun, unknown even to his assistant.
"Make a friend?" Zhou Juelun's assistant chuckled, "Anyone that makes you, boss, go out of your way must be no ordinary person."
"Zhang nglong, have you heard of him?"
The assistant shook his head.
"You haven't paid attention to the dostic affairs of the Continent for too long," Zhou Juelun said with a smile, "who knows, this ti the rights to my song might not necessarily be sold to Tengxun or Wangyi."
"Besides them, what other platforms could afford such a price?" the assistant asked curiously.
"You'll find out soon."
In recent years, Zhou Juelun had almost faded out of the music scene, relying on copyrights and his managed companies, his net worth had already exceeded 10 billion. Ordinary tycoons did not catch his eye, and he had never accepted Wang Ling's invitations, except when his father's influence made so difference.
But he knew that this young man nad Zhang nglong's wealth was beyond terrifying; even for him, it was an honor to be invited.
"Mr. Zhou, we have arrived." The car ca to a steady stop outside the villa complex.
"Wow!" Zhou Juelun's place was already utterly luxurious, but upon seeing this villa, his assistant couldn't help but widen his pupils, "How much does this cost?"
"Tangong Villa, the most expensive place in all of Modu. How much do you think?" Zhou Juelun was also secretly shocked inside. With a fortune well over ten billion, buying this villa might still require him to liquidate everything.
"Mr. Zhou, please, Mr. Zhang has been waiting for you inside," said a person resembling a butler as he ca out to greet them.
"Kindly lead the way."
...
"Mr. Zhang, Mr. Zhou has arrived."
"Finally!" Zhang nglong's sleepiness instantly dissipated by half.
"Mr. Zhou, this is Mr. Zhang of our household," the butler introduced.
"Such a young fellow." Zhou Juelun's assistant was surprised; to be so young and afford such a villa ant an unfathomably deep background.
"Hello, Mr. Zhang," Zhou Juelun extended a hand, "I have long heard of your reputation, yet to see you in person, you look even younger than in your pictures."
"Don't be too polite, Mr. Zhou. I grew up listening to your songs," Zhang nglong laughed, "Please take a seat."
Zhou Juelun and his assistant took their seats, both seeming sowhat constrained. Although Zhang nglong didn't have an aggressive deanor, it was hard to remain calm in such a lavish mansion.
"Hong Yi, is the milk tea ready?" Zhang nglong asked. "We must serve nothing but the best for Mr. Zhou!"
"Haha!" Zhang nglong's comnt instantly relaxed the atmosphere quite a bit, and Zhou Juelun smiled awkwardly. Indeed, over the years, his figure had grown more robust due to milk tea, and he was often teased by his fans about it.
Soon, a few cups of milk tea were served, their fragrance was indescribable and they even seed to have a refreshing effect.
Fans like to make fun of it, but Zhou Juelun truly enjoyed milk tea. He eagerly took a sip, and the unique flavor instantly invigorated him.
"What kind of milk tea is this?"
"Hong Yi, what kind of milk tea is this? It's far too delicious," Zhang nglong was also drinking his household's milk tea for the first ti. He had always thought milk teas tasted the sa; the nas of the brands were glamorous, yet he could not taste any difference—but the tea in his hand was definitely special!
"Mr. Zhang, this milk tea is brewed with Dahongpao tea leaves and England's JUHLA royal exclusive milk, making it quite special."
"What? This milk tea is brewed with Dahongpao?" Zhou Juelun, as well as Zhang nglong, was shocked. They hadn't heard about the royal milk, but Dahongpao is famously revered; it's rare and hardly produces a kilogram a year, not even frequently available for royal tributes.
In the eyes of tea lovers, it's almost sacred, yet in their household, it was used for brewing milk tea.
"I must drink more!" Zhou Juelun had sampled countless milk teas, but a milk tea like this likely was a once-in-a-lifeti opportunity. He couldn't help but exclaim internally, "The rich kids of today really know how to live!"
