Chapter 1011: Chapter 1009: Damn, We Took a Wrong Turn

"Charge forward?"

Zhang nglong’s proposal instantly invigorated the students of the Super God Academy.

Yeah, since this off-world battlefield opened, Universe Seven’s been stuck in a defensive stance, getting attacked by their enemies repeatedly attacking the Crystal. And here they are, never even seeing the enemy’s high ground tower—from how suffocating is that?

Even a wooden dummy would have a temper; how can any man tolerate constantly being on the defensive? If you punch

once, shouldn’t I stab you twice in return?

"Great idea! I’m in!"

"Sure, let’s charge forward. I’m quite interested in Universes 37 and 38. Count

in."

"How far is it? My instant noodles are almost ready. If it’s too far, they’ll be soggy by the ti I get back."

"Eating noodles, eating noodles! Is that all you think about? Let’s try other universe’s cuisines. Aren’t they tempting?"

"And girls from other universes!"

"Hehehe, let’s go!"

Zhang nglong opened up his communicator, "Captain, it’s !"

"nglong, how are things? None of you are injured, right?"

"We’re all fine," Zhang nglong said, "These deadbeats and rotten eggs can’t hurt us."

"That’s good to hear. Quick, co back—this is a rare victory for us. You’ve completely stunned them. Not just our 192 combat sequence but several nearby legions have halted their attacks too."

"Are you serious?" Zhang nglong hadn’t anticipated that they would impact the battlefield to such an extent.

"Hahaha, perhaps they’re scared stiff by your fighting capability. Because Universe Seven increased the frontline combat power configuration, without knowing the situation, they’re likely hesitant to attack rashly again. We can probably rest for ten to twenty days, enough to recuperate while waiting for reinforcents."

"That’s nice."

"Hurry back, we’ve prepared a celebration feast. Several nearby squads ca asking about you. We need to celebrate this victory properly!"

"You start without us. We won’t be heading back for now," Zhang nglong said.

"Not coming back? What are you up to?"

"Captain, I’d like to ask, where are the satellite Base Cities of Universes 37 and 38? How long would it take us to get there?"

"What do you an?" Xinos felt a sudden jolt—are these people going mad and planning to raid the enemy’s base?

"We intended to exercise a bit today," Zhang nglong explained, "But these guys gave up before we’d even ward up. We’re planning on visiting them instead. In battles, of course, you need to pursue victory. I’m planning to flaunt our strength at their ho base."

"Are you insane?" Xinos shook nervously, "This isn’t a joke. Since the war began, we haven’t done a counter-attack before. We only know the location of their Base City, but we have no clue about their defensive structures, firepower, or combat configuration. You’re practically walking right into their trap."

"Knowing the location is enough," Zhang nglong laughed, "We’re just going to visit their satellite Base City, not their legion’s city areas. At most, there will be a few Level Seven Life Forms. If we can’t handle them, we’ll return imdiately."

"That’s not acceptable! You’re specifically requested to et by the Legion Commander. If sothing happens to you, how would I explain this to the Legion Commander?"

"Relax, we won’t get into trouble," Zhang nglong laughed, "You start cooking first. We might make it back for the hot dishes. If we manage to wipe out their base, who knows, we might even grab so of their specialties."

"Grabbing their specialties..." Xinos was amused and exasperated. Just how confident are they in their abilities?

But thinking it over, the strongest on the 192 combat sequence’s defensive line is a Level Seven Life Form. Even if the enemy’s stronger, they shouldn’t be much stronger.

Zhang nglong’s team might struggle against Level Eight Life Forms, but if they’re up against Level Seven, they should at least be able to escape.

And he knew deeply that he couldn’t convince these mavericks!

"Be careful, if it gets too tough, co back. Once you reach here, they wouldn’t dare pursue further."

"Alright, captain, send

the map data."

A mont later, Zhang nglong and the others received the sent data. From this direction, it would take the spaceship over an hour to get there.

Zhang nglong pulled his Star Watcher out from the Super God Academy’s storage space, "Alright, brothers, grab your gear, let’s go!"

...

50,000 astronomical units away, there was a stretch of military bases. Behind these bases were the worlds of Universe 37 and Universe 38.

Their setup resembled Universe Seven; thousands of small Base Cities encircle a large Base City, each large Base City housing one of their legions.

In the 731 Legion’s 911 small Base City, a Universe 37 unit resides. They don’t have small combat teams like Universe Seven; the entire unit is commanded by a Level Seven Peak Life Form.

In this Base City, nearly a billion Level Five Life Forms, twenty thousand Level Six Life Forms, with seventeen deputies besides the highest commander as Level Seven Life Forms. The attack on the 192 combat sequence ca from this unit.

In the command room, a person clad in tallic armor, revealing only his eyes, stared at his subordinates. He was one of the Base City’s 17 deputies, Peter Shu, the mastermind behind this operation.

"In less than five minutes, we’ve lost 1.71 million Level Five warriors, 2,721 Level Six warriors, and 49,282 Olinok Beasts; what exactly happened here?"

Logically speaking, Universe Seven shouldn’t have recovered by now, only leaving scattered troops that couldn’t possibly withstand their assault.

"Lord Peter Shu, we’re unsure. But reports from surviving warriors claim that suddenly, very formidable warriors appeared in Universe Seven. Each could fend off an entire squad’s attacks."

"Did their Level Seven warriors take the field?" Peter Shu inquired. Generally, Level Seven and above Life Forms only participate in major battles, typically engaging with their own Level Seven warriors and not in regular siege battles.

"No, based on our scanners, those warriors are just Level Five warriors from Universe Seven. We can’t explain why their combat prowess is so overwhelming."

"Investigate this matter imdiately!" Peter Shu ordered, "If they’re all such warriors, there’s no point in fighting!"

...

Outside the 912 small Base City, the reconnaissance team was conducting their usual patrol. Their duty was to spot enemy attacks from other universes and report promptly.

Universe 37 and Universe 38 seldom faced proactive attacks from other universes, so most of the ti, these patrolling teams were quite idle, chatting and idling away their days.

"It’s bizarre. The 911 unit withdrew so fast today!"

"I heard they headed to Universe Seven today."

"Universe Seven? Wasn’t there a large-scale offensive organized about twenty Cosmic Days ago? Several legions were crushed. Seems they haven’t got any defense left."

"I heard we were beaten this ti."

"Beaten? How could they with their remaining force...?"

"Beep beep beep, strong energy source detected!" Suddenly, the device sounded an alarm.

"What’s happening?"

"Enemy attack incoming!"

"Who is it? Universe Four or Universe Twelve?"

"The spaceship model is unfamiliar—just one craft. Could it be an ally?"

"Hold off on alerts—let’s identify them first."

"This is Universe 37’s 912 small Base City, identify yourself and state your purpose!" They quickly broadcast to the ship.

The communicator was t with garbled noises.

"Huh? 912 Base City? Isn’t this 911 Base City?"

"Damn it, did we wander off course?"
