Gu Ren’s film was about to participate in the Cannes Film Festival. The original ti of arrival was in a few days, but Gu Ren and Ye Zhi decided to go early.

They randomly chose a small bar and sat in the corner of the bar against the wall. The two walls encircled a small private space for them.
The light in the bar was dim and the aroma of wine rose and fell amidst the semi-dark light. The wine inside the glasses reflected their splendour under the light as well.
The sound of music and conversation lingered throughout the bar, but the noisy atmosphere still brought Ye Zhi and Gu Ren a sense of long-lost comfort.
This simple two-person world was enough to satisfy them.
Ye Zhi’s alcohol intake was not great, so she drank her wine in small sips. WIthout needing to drink much, just a few sips was enough to make her face feel warm.
Compared to how she was before, Ye Zhi’s current gaze towards Gu Ren was much brighter.
Gu Ren glanced at her and knew that Ye Zhi had gotten a little drunk. He smiled helplessly, stretched out his hand and held her wine glass.
At the last second, Ye Zhi picked up the wine glass and was about to take another sip. Before the mouth of the glass could touch her lips, she was stopped by Gu Ren.
It wasn’t the cold touch of the wine glass that stuck to Ye Zhi’s lips, but Gu Ren’s fingers accidentally graced over her lips, engulfing her in a warm yet familiar sensation.
Ye Zhi took advantage of the wine in her system and beca much more courageous. She gave Gu Ren a small glare and there was a silent accusatory gaze reflected in her eyes, but it didn’t work at all.
“Why won’t you let drink?”
Gu Ren looked at Ye Zhi’s reaction and did not refute her words. His thin lips were slightly hooked as his deep eyes fell on her face. He then slowly moved his hand away.
“If you don’t want to stop you now, make sure that you won’t regret it tomorrow.”
Gu Ren’s voice was casual, but it inexplicably held more aning. However, Ye Zhi, who was drunk, would not understand.
Ye Zhi only understood the fact that Gu Ren’s hand had moved away. Hence, she downed the contents of the glass and ordered another.
It wasn’t until the next day when Ye Zhi was huddled on the hotel bed while watching Gu Ren, who was walking towards the bathroom with a refreshed look, that she understood the aning of what he said last night.
