Nie Jiqing knew that Ye Zhi’s current appearance was for the purpose of filming her current show. Fortunately, the filming process was about to end; otherwise she might not be able to control her desire to bring Ye Zhi ho directly.
“Today, co back to the Sheng house first; the driver will take your luggage ho.”
Nie Jiqing pretended to be calm as if she was just conveying a statent.
Nie Jiqing scratched Ye Zhi’s nose, “You can see Gu Ren tomorrow; being a day later would be okay for you, right?”
After she finished speaking, Nie Jiqing smiled aningfully, because what awaited Ye Zhi tomorrow was not a re small surprise.
Ye Zhi changed the subject with a guilty conscience, “I’m not in such a hurry to see Gu Ren; of course I can go tomorrow.”
However, when Ye Zhi spoke, her eyelids were drooping slightly downwards. Her eyes dodged her mother’s gaze and her voice gradually softened at the end, revealing a tinge of regret for not being able to surprise Gu Ren.
Nie Jiqing liked to see Ye Zhi and Gu Ren having a good relationship. With how imnsely the two of them missed each other every ti they were apart, their relationship would last for a long ti.
Nie Jiqing didn’t reveal Ye Zhi’s careful thoughts either, “Why don’t you stay at the Sheng house for a few days? If you miss Gu Ren, you can ask him to co over.”
Ye Zhi got a little anxious when she heard it. She knew that Nie Jiqing was teasing her, so she didn’t refute her true thoughts. She laid on Nie Jiqing’s shoulder and whispered in her ear.
“I still want to et Gu Ren, you know?”
Nie Jiqing laughed and pinched Ye Zhi’s cheeks with a smile, but she imdiately noticed that she had beco very light. When Ye Zhi leaned against her own body, she could hardly feel her weight.
A trace of concern flashed in Nie Jiqing’s eyes, but she didn’t want Ye Zhi to worry, so she decided to help take care of Ye Zhi these next couple of days.
Nie Jiqing then patted Ye Zhi’s hand, “Okay, let’s go, I specially picked out a good restaurant. I’ve eaten there before and they even make diet als pretty delicious.”
In order to make Ye Zhi eat more, Nie Jiqing also put a lot of thought into their outing.
After Ye Zhi packed up her things, she left the studio with Nie Jiqing.
Ye Zhi sat in the passenger seat while Nie Jiqing drove the car. Ye Zhi thought about it and decided to send a text ssage to Gu Ren, telling him that she would be at the Sheng house today.
Ye Zhi lowered her head and the long hair on her forehead draped over her phone inadvertently, covering the corners of her slightly raised lips.
At the sa ti, Gu Ren’s phone vibrated.
Gu Ren clicked on Ye Zhi’s text ssage.
[I will stay at my mother’s house tonight and go ho tomorrow.]
Gu Ren had already received a text ssage from Nie Jiqing in advance. He knew that Ye Zhi would not be going ho tonight, but when he received the ssage from Ye Zhi, he burst into a light smile that erged from the corners of his mouth.
Gu Ren glanced out the window— everything was almost ready. He squinted slightly and he seed to appear calm, but his eyes were full of emotions.
Gu Ren focused his sights on his phone again as he tapped the screen with his slender and thin fingers.
After a few seconds, Ye Zhi received a reply from Gu Ren with only three simple words.
[I’ll be waiting.]
Ye Zhi raised the corners of her lips and placed the phone in her bag.
