“Professor Wang is on a business trip,” the man said, “I’m his assistant. Is there anything that I can help you with?”
“There’s no need, thank you,” Qin Ling’s expression was calm. It was a very important matter, so she couldn’t trust anyone except the friend who had been with her for many years.
Qin Ling waited for a day before she finally got a call from the professor. She imdiately put down everything at hand and rushed to the laboratory.

“Here is the DNA report of the two of you,” Qin Ling handed the file over.
Nie Jiqing slowly stretched out her hand and reached for the sealed file.
She was so nervous— the closer she got to the file, the more her hands trembled. It was as if all the weight in the world fell into her hands the mont she took it.
Nie Jiqing had been looking forward to having an answer to her question for a long ti. However, she was feeling nervous and hesitant now.
Nie Jiqing took a deep breath as she stabilised her mind and opened the file. The air gradually beca so heavy with the bleeding tension that even her hands jittered as they started to lose strength.
Her fingers squeezed the thin report tightly as she pulled out little by little.
