Gu Ren looked at Ye Zhi. He opened his mouth, conveying every word that sounded normal and light, but underneath his seemingly casual and indifferent tone was an inexplicable weight and hidden aning.

“Just now, you said that you usually ate a lot more than this?”

Ye Zhi had nothing to say.

Gu Ren continued unhurriedly, “You said that you didn’t have much of an appetite today?”

Ye Zhi shrunk her neck. She was so hamred with guilt that she didn’t dare to reply.

Gu Ren spoke word by word, very slowly, “Ye Zhi, you have beco dishonest.”

Ye Zhi weakly replied, “The director told to beco thinner.”

Gu Ren said casually, “Oh?” Then, he stretched out his hand and slowly pushed the dish in front of him to Ye Zhi.

Gu Ren said lowly, “Eat.”

Ye Zhi didn’t dare to cut corners today, so she imdiately picked up the chopsticks and silently began to eat the food that Gu Ren gave her.

After taking a few bites, Ye Zhi suddenly felt a bit of a guilty pleasure. If she continued to eat, her diet from the past few days would be wasted. Ye Zhi took a deep breath, “I can’t eat anymore.”

Hearing this, Gu Ren glanced at Ye Zhi.

Then, he suddenly pushed aside the chair and slowly stood up, the abruptness of the movent stunned Ye Zhi.

Gu Ren walked around the table and ended up behind Ye Zhi. He stared down at her, locking his gaze squarely with hers.

After a long while, Gu Ren repeated Ye Zhi’s words with the ending slightly higher in pitch and his voice a bit hoarse, “You really can’t eat anymore?”

Ye Zhi could only blankly nod at his statent.

Gu Ren leaned towards Ye Zhi as he slowly bent over. Gradually, he stretched out his slender hand and gently held Ye Zhi’s hand that was holding onto the pair of chopsticks she ate with.

Before Ye Zhi could even respond, she realized that the two of them were already so close to each other.

Gu Ren gazed at Ye Zhi before he quickly flashed a smile.

The next second, Gu Ren opened his mouth, his voice sounding like a cold and calm breeze in the faint yet dark moonlit night. He spoke the next words very slowly and let out a low laugh.

“I’ll feed you.”

When Ye Zhi heard Gu Ren’s words, her face flushed suddenly and she imdiately retracted her hand in shock.

Gu Ren’s hand was originally on Ye Zhi’s. The mont Ye Zhi loosened her hand, he moved his fingers slightly and gently hooked his grip onto the chopsticks in her hand with great ease.

Gu Ren straightened his posture and held the chopsticks with his fingers.

Ye Zhi eagerly saw the chopsticks fall in Gu Ren’s hands and her voice stamred, “I-I…I can eat by myself.”

Ye Zhi spread her fingers and asked ekly, “Give it back to .”

Gu Ren glanced at Ye Zhi’s palm before his gaze fell on her face. He raised his eyebrows and deliberately stretched out the tone of his voice, “Didn’t you just say that you couldn’t eat anymore?”

Ye Zhi repeatedly replied, “I can eat it, of course I can eat it,” Gu Ren stared at Ye Zhi for a few seconds before handing the chopsticks back to Ye Zhi.

The chopsticks finally returned to Ye Zhi’s hands. In order to prove herself, Ye Zhi eagerly brought the dish Gu Ren had given in front of her and began to eat seriously.

When Ye Zhi was eating, there was a light and fluttering voice resounding above her head.

“Don’t rush, eat slowly.”

Ye Zhi’s heart loosened and in the next second, Gu Ren’s low voice ca again, his tone unhurriedly, “I’m just sitting by the side and watching you eat, anyways.”

Ye Zhi’s hands trembled and she almost dropped her chopsticks on the table.
