Closer!
The black cloud suddenly descended, enveloping the man within. Look closely—this wasn’t a black cloud, but rather thousands upon thousands of giant flying insects!
"Clang!"
Among the deafening cries of insects ca a clear ringing sound of a weapon, followed by the loud shout of a man, like booming thunder.
"Raging Moon Wave!"
Light, silver light, possessing the purity of the moon and the sharpness of a weapon.
Instantly, an invisible and imnsely powerful force surged outward, just like waves crashing, one wave after another, reaching a high tide, montarily driving away the overwhelming swarm of flying insects, leaving a space where he could freely wield his strength.
Looking again at the man surrounded by insects, he now stood with his head bowed, holding his knife diagonally. Around him lay the bodies of insects, so halved, others in thirds, green viscous liquid soaking the arid earth. The cold light in the blazing hot desert shot out swiftly, piercing through to the sky. At the sa ti, the ground trembled suddenly, and from the sand erged an insect as large as six elephants.
"Hmph, I’ve been waiting for you a long ti."
The man finally raised his head. Determined, he was simply determined; his appearance was unremarkable, a square face with thick brows and big eyes, but his eyes shone with a determination that no one else possessed. Dragging the long knife, the man stepped closer to the gigantic insect. With each step, he left a deep footprint, and the long knife dragged across the ground, igniting the bodies of insects it passed.
Fire, red flas began to spread.
The man slowly lifted the knife, which now shone with a scarlet glow! In an instant, he wielded the knife with both hands, jumping into the air, launching a thunderous strike at the giant insect with overwhelming force. The burning knife struck down, even slicing through the air, producing a sizzling sound.
The gigantic insect could not evade, raising its huge antennae to defend.
"Boom!"
The earth cracked, the heavens shook!
Dust soared high, a tornado of sand. The flas in the desert burned ever more fiercely, with a montum to devour everything.
Not long after, the black cloud ford by flying insects slowly dispersed. So insects fell directly, others unable to withstand the searing flas evaporated, while the remnants were swept up by the wind, scattered all around, finally buried under the sand...
Watching the entire scene, i Ye looked at her father with a puzzled expression: "Dad, isn’t this the opening animation of the ga?"
The man nodded: "Yes, but did you feel that when the man shouted earlier he seed like soone?"
"Mu Yun, we’ve known that for a long ti." i Ye pouted, "That poor guy, abandoned by his ruthless father into the ga world since childhood, able to freely cross between reality and the ga world using special data, but he’s performing quite well now. With our support, I think in no ti he’ll dominate the Netherworld, right?"
The man shook his head: "You’re thinking too simply. Ling Dijie has already had the Alliance of the three Star Systems sign a treaty, and three forces will intervene in the ga. According to internal reports from the ga company, the ga will restart next Monday. At that ti, the world will be divided into three parts, each ruled by a different force, and they will use their own ans to take control, which is their initial idea."
"When did these politicians beco so naive? Even if they unify the world in the ga, what’s the use in reality? They’ll still have to fight."
"You’re right, both sides need to fight. They’re actually trying to give the three parties so buffer ti, as all three alliances are secretly manufacturing new weapons. Now, all three need buffer ti, and once enough ti has passed, the new interstellar war will comnce." The man paused before continuing, "What I’m more concerned about is that extraterrestrials might also beco involved. If that’s true, once we’ve suffered significant losses on all three sides, our end will surely arrive."
"Then what should we do?" i Ye’s face showed rare concern.
The man gently patted i Ye’s head, smiling: "If my estimate is correct, the buffer ti will be at least a year and a half. During this year and a half, we will surely achieve so results. anwhile, I have so bad news for you, but for you, this news may not be very good."
The man activated the computer. At this mont, a smaller screen appeared above the computer, generated from crystal ions.
"See for yourself."
On the computer screen appeared a vast blue ocean, with a beautiful island surrounded by towering trees and the fragrance of flowers and the sound of birds. At this mont, a governnt official’s advanced hovercraft descended onto the island, the door automatically opened, and a middle-aged man stepped out. i Ye could see the man’s face—ordinary-looking, but he wore a military uniform emblazoned with five stars!
"Dad, who is he?"
"Ling Dijie, the only son of the forr wealthiest man in the Milky Way Alliance, Ling Tianhao, currently holding the position of Marshal of the Galactic Alliance Army."
"He, he...he is Mu Yun’s..." i Ye was too shocked to speak.
"That’s right, he’s the biological father of your beloved Mu Yun."
The man stared straight at Ling Dijie entering the island’s sole villa.
"Actually, I haven’t seen Ling Dijie for over twenty years; he underwent costic surgery, completely altering his appearance. If it weren’t for his walking posture and the five stars on his shoulders, I wouldn’t have recognized this old friend. As you know, Mu Yun’s appearance greatly resembles his father when he was young, which is why Ling Tianhao adopted him as his foster grandson. Ling Tianhao vaguely knew they had a blood relationship. After an investigation, he realized everything was orchestrated by his son Ling Dijie."
"Why did Ling Tianhao associate Mu Yun with the Li Family?"
"That’s what Ling Tianhao cleverly did. He didn’t want Mu Yun to be controlled by his father, so he disclosed Mu Yun’s identity to the Li Family and had them take care of him. Li Fuyun married Ling Dijie due to circumstances; she never forgave him even on her deathbed but deeply loved their only son, so she asked her brother—now the President of the Zhonghua Star, Li Guangyao—to promise to take care of Mu Yun. Upon learning that Mu Yun was his biological nephew, Li Guangyao imdiately sent people to protect him and, after the explosion at Asia University, brought him to Zhonghua Star.
i Ye nodded in agreent, then asked: "Dad, what bad news are you referring to?"
