As they spoke, two peculiarly dressed n appeared in everyone’s line of sight. Both were formidable individuals—one was clad in black armor, carrying a heavy sword on his back. His entire body was encased in the armor, leaving only a pair of red eyes exposed; the other was dressed as a mage, his robe also black, but the most astonishing part was—he was floating in mid-air!
"Who are you?" Soone shouted loudly.
"You ants are unworthy of knowing our nas."
"Whether we’re worthy or not, we’ll find out after a fight!" Koizumi Tadashi unsheathed the long knife on his back and pointed it at the samurai, shouting, "No matter whether you’re human or ghost, take ten strikes from first!" At this mont, everyone observed a peculiar scene. They noticed that when Koizumi Tadashi gripped the knife, his entire deanor transford—his hair grew long enough to reach his shoulders, and his originally black pupils instantly turned a fiery red!
"Heh heh heh, ten strikes? Ha ha ha." The samurai let out an eerie laugh, slowly extended his right hand, and said, smiling, "Foolish humans, is this the power you rely on to rule the Milky Way Galaxy?"
"Aliens?" The thought imdiately popped into your mind.
"Which star system are you from?" Koizumi Tadashi shouted.
"Camo Star," said the mage, still floating in mid-air, chuckling.
"Never heard of it!" Koizumi Tadashi launched his attack—he dashed forward, and his Japanese sword drew a red arc in the air. "Demon Slayer Slash!"
It was only when Koizumi Tadashi shouted the na of this technique that the samurai from Camo Star showed a serious deanor. He instantly retreated, and his long sword flew out of its sheath on his back, shooting straight for Koizumi Tadashi.
"Sword Control Technique!" You and Xin Shenggu shouted simultaneously.
This Sword Control Technique was a pinnacle of swordsmanship, and although the samurai’s technique was still in its early stages, you and Xin Shenggu both knew that Koizumi Tadashi was destined to lose.
"Clang!"
Blade collided with sword, instantly producing a piercing tallic sound. In the first exchange, Koizumi Tadashi retreated a dozen steps backward, while the samurai stood calmly and unperturbed.

"Damn it!" Koizumi Tadashi adjusted his grip on the knife, lowered his center of gravity, and prepared to fight again.
However, the samurai simply shook his head, smiling, and said, "The spirit of the People of Yamato may indeed be admirable, but when you reflect on it carefully, it seems a tad stubborn. "I’ll kill you!" When the samurai brought up the historical sha of his people, Koizumi Tadashi, as a mber of the Yamato nation, naturally couldn’t tolerate the insult. He let out a loud cry and charged forward once more with his knife.
"Enough!" The mage, who had been silent all this ti, suddenly roared, and Koizumi Tadashi was sent crashing backward by a wave of energy. "Instead of wasting ti fighting them here, we should focus on entering the altar and obtaining the Holy Light!"
"Alright, alright, don’t get so angry. I’m rely following my master’s orders before he left—to bear in mind the enmity between our people and theirs," the samurai said nonchalantly, smiling.
"Let’s go. Soone’s already entered the altar ahead of us."
"Eastern Cloud Dragon?"
The mage didn’t reply but instead soared high into the sky, heading toward the depths of the forest.
"What are you standing around for? Get moving and chase them!" Koizumi Tadashi ground his teeth and led his n in pursuit of the pair.
"We can’t let them get the Holy Light!" Xin Shenggu joined the pursuit with several trusted followers.
"Xinying, what are you staring at? Let’s hurry and go." Xin Qingshu approached Xie Xinying gently. Xie Xinying withdrew her gaze from you, glanced at Xin Qingshu, and followed him to join Xin Shenggu in the chase.
At this mont, you were already standing atop a large tree, watching everyone leave. With a flicker of thought, you pivoted and turned back.
"Brother Mu Yun, you’re back." i Ye smiled and threw herself into your embrace.
"Little Ye, be good. I’ve got things to attend to. Let go of first."
"No way, no way, you can hold while you talk." You couldn’t resist this young lady’s whims and surrendered helplessly, allowing her to do as she pleased. Turning to Hongyan, you said, "They all seem to be fighting for sothing called the Light of Bright. The journey ahead is fraught with peril. I think you two should stay here. I’ll scout the situation. If there’s an opportunity, I’ll make a move. If not, I’ll let it go."
Hongyan nodded. "We’ll follow your lead."
"Then I’ll leave this little one in your care."
"I’m not a little one!" From your embrace, i Ye raised her tiny fist to protest.
"Alright, alright, you’re not small, you’re not small." You smiled and handed i Ye to Hongyan. Grinning broadly, you left.
"Brother Mu Yun, bring back a gift!"
Little did you know, it would be two years before you’d see Hongyan again after this departure.
When you reached the entrance of the underground altar, the place was in utter chaos. Corpses of monsters were scattered all over, and signs of destruction abounded, indicating a fierce battle had taken place.
"I hope I’m not too late." You muttered to yourself as you plunged inside.
As you stealthily entered the altar, you discovered more than a dozen people already gathered inside. Although the number was significantly smaller than before, you knew these individuals were far more formidable. Using the darkness as cover, you concealed yourself behind a rock.
"Eastern Cloud Dragon, you’re just as despicable as ever." Koizumi Tadashi leaned tiredly against the wall, gripping his long knife. You noticed that he was now alone—his followers had all been forced to resurrect at their respective resurrection points. Upon closer inspection, you found the two Camo Star warriors subdued on the ground, ensnared by the mage’s Binding Technique.
Eastern Cloud Dragon raised his handso face and smiled. "The word ’despicable’ is an overstatent you’re projecting on . If we’re talking about being despicable, I suppose none of you are any better."
At this mont, Eastern Cloud Dragon held a dazzling white sword in his hand. What nearly made Koizumi Tadashi’s eyes burn with fury was that blood was already dripping from Eastern Cloud Dragon’s hand onto the sword.
"We, the People of Yamato, do things honorably. Even if it’s invasion, we openly declare it. Unlike you—all shaless and vile!" Koizumi Tadashi sneered.
"Oh? Is that so? Well, it seems one of the five main organizers this ti happens to be your uncle, doesn’t he?"
"And what of it? Didn’t one of your people participate as well?" Koizumi Tadashi sneered again. "You always call us war maniacs, but in truth, your race is the most despicable, the lowest—they always lurk in the shadows and ambush others."
