Whenever this kind of thing cos up, the passion in your heart imdiately surges and you say to yourself: "Anyway, I don’t feel like being so sort of big hero or chivalrous figure. I’m more comfortable continuing as the ’Empire Pest’, just like Elder brother Ling Yifeng said. Life’s a hundred years; if you can’t enjoy it freely, how can you be worthy of yourself?"
It’s estimated that Ling Yifeng would cough up blood if he heard this.
Under the guidance of Akema, you head to the apartnt complex where Lax resides. From afar, you could see a tall building, at least eight stories high.
When you and Akema arrive, you find Lax walking out from the building.
"Lei Xiu, you look quite well today. You’ve lost quite a bit of weight in three days."
"If I didn’t lose weight, that would be the real surprise. Damn it, I never want to experience that kind of torture again," you say, fuming.
"Heh, but you do look more handso and dashing after losing weight," Lax offers a tily piece of flattery.
"Oh, really?"
"Of course. Once those beauties see you later, they’ll probably swarm you. Make sure you share one or two with your little brother."
"Don’t worry, don’t worry. As long as I get my share, you won’t miss out," you and Lax exchange glances and snicker naughtily.
Area C is located in the western part of the College of Yanluo, an extrely chaotic area. Just as Lax said, as soon as you step into Area C, you see two groups engaged in a brawl right on the street ahead.
Each group fights chaotically without any tactics or command. To avoid getting involved, you and Lax opt to stand by and wait for the fight to end.
"Such brawls happen dozens of tis every day here; we’re all used to it now."
Upon hearing what Lax says, you indeed notice so spectators like yourselves around the periphery of the fight. While watching the brawl, they even provide comntary as if they were experts.
With your decade of experience in group fights, you find these combatants are really amateurish. In your opinion, if the number of people on both sides isn’t too uneven, such brawls shouldn’t happen because they’ll just lead to mutual destruction, allowing others to benefit. If it is unavoidable, then it’s ti to talk tactics for group fights.
The principle is rather simple; when speaking of group fights, one must talk about wolf packs.
Wolf packs are famous for their coordinated attacks in the animal kingdom.
To win a brawl when both sides are evenly matched, unity is a must; internal strife must be avoided at all costs.
During a fight, work in groups of three to five to target the weakest enemy. Reducing the number of targets ans increasing the chances of victory. Definitely avoid fighting separately; these folks are definitely the greenest of the green when it cos to brawling. You stand on the sidelines and watch for a few minutes, your hands itching as the scene remains in disarray.
"Watching these brawls every day is truly boring," Lax yawns.
"Who are they, and why are they fighting?" you ask.
"They follow their respective bosses. When their bosses are at odds, they naturally fight."
"This fight isn’t worth watching; let’s go around," Lax suggests as he starts toward an alley.
"No need, I’ll take care of these little brats."
Saying so, you let out a shout, roll up your sleeves, and rush in. Like a wolf among sheep, you knock down seven or eight people in an instant. Then, without distinguishing between friend and foe, you grab their limbs and throw them out of the circle, regardless of whether they are alive or dead.
These guys are just minions, nothing special. It only takes you a mont to clear a space for yourself. While you’re getting a kick out of it, two n enter your line of sight.
They don’t attack but simply stand at a distance, looking at you. One of them shouts, "Who are you?"
"I’m Lei Xiu, young master. If you’re not convinced, co and fight it out," you stand tall proudly before everyone, all smiles.
"Hmph, a nobody. Never heard of you," the other man says coldly.
"Never heard of ? No problem. After Young Master beats you up, you’ll know," you shake your body fat, assuming a posture to attack one of them.
Clearly not interested in engaging further with you, the grinning Fatty, the two n wave their hands and shout, "Retreat!"
"Hey, why are you leaving? Young Master wasn’t done having fun." Perhaps it’s a habit developed since childhood, but once you start fighting, you beco incredibly excited, unable to stop.
"Brother Lei Xiu, there are hidden dragons and crouching tigers in Area C, it’s better if we keep a low profile, especially since we’re only first-years."
Upon hearing Lax’s words, you suddenly rember the Maintenance Team leader, and a shiver runs down your spine. "Yeah, I know, I just couldn’t control myself just now; it won’t happen again next ti."
Although you say this, you can’t help but feel a stifled and uncomfortable emotion brewing within you.
"Let’s go; if we’re late, all the beauties might be snatched away."
While Lax is talking, you inadvertently look up and notice a figure floating in the high distance. Because it’s too far away, you can’t see the person’s face clearly, but you get the impression it’s a woman.
"Hey, who’s that? She seems to be looking at us," you say, pointing in the direction. When Lax sees her, his body shivers involuntarily, and he quickly pulls your hand down, "She is the vice dean! Do you have a death wish? Let’s go!"
With that, Lax drags you and starts running forward.
"Hey, why the rush?" you are puzzled by Lax’s behavior.
"The vice dean is the most terrifying person at the College of Yanluo. Anyone who so much as glances at her is in for so bad luck, and you were pointing at her and talking... sigh, let’s just hope she didn’t see just now."
"Is it really that exaggerated? She’s just a woman."
"Shh, let’s drop it. Nobody at the Academy dares to provoke her. If you want to die, you can take a few more looks."
Now seriously cautioned by Lax, you certainly don’t dare to do otherwise, and the two of you quickly enter a small tavern called "Valse."
As soon as you both push the door and enter, a strong fragrance hits you, montarily disorienting you.
A feast for the eyes awaits: everywhere are won dressed in "Jianpiao" fashion, so coquettishly, so wantonly, making the entire place ooze with allure.
Lax pulls you to sit down in a corner, casually grabbing a handful from several won’s behinds along the way.
"Nice place, huh?"
This small tavern is where Lax brought you; with his status, he can’t enter more upscale venues.
Your eyes dazzle at the sight. Despite the noisy environnt, to tell the truth, the won here are rather fine: curvy and voluptuous, sweet-talking and proactive – a man’s dream co true, truly a slice of heaven.
