Chapter 1234: Chapter 1234: Extra Story of the Eel 71

Although it’s not ideal to let her mind wander while driving, Su Man’s thoughts helped her clarify her feelings.

She truly liked Lu Yuwen.

As long as she affird this point, her heart settled, because now she knew what she should do. At the very least, the next ti she chatted about Li Li in front of Lu Yuwen, she couldn’t let him continue misunderstanding.

She couldn’t let him think that she was still hung up on Li Li!

These next couple of days would be spent accompanying Li Li, so there might not be an opportunity for now. That ant she’d wait for two or three days; once Li Li’s injury healed, she would set up another eting with Lu Yuwen and ask him about his thoughts.

Su Man straightened out her thinking, quietly ford her plan, and felt that today was excellent. Truly excellent.

She had accomplished sothing major.

Even if, on the surface, it looked like she hadn’t done a thing.

After work, she rushed to Wu Xinghai’s apartnt. Along the way, her mood was incredibly lighthearted, as if she had worked through sothing in her mind, leaving her free from her ntal burdens, her whole being radiating happiness.

She parked her car, walked into the apartnt building, swiped her key card, and got into the elevator.

Standing inside, she watched the floor numbers change and thought to herself: She needed to find the right timing to formally introduce Lu Yuwen to Li Li so Li Li would stop calling him a gigolo and a fox spirit.

It might’ve been hard before, but since Li Li got injured, his temper seed to have eased up a bit, making communication more manageable.

Reaching the 20th floor, Su Man stepped out of the elevator and arrived at Wu Xinghai’s apartnt door. She entered the passcode to unlock the door—

With a click, the lock opened, and two n inside froze in place.

Su Man stepped inside and noticed an extra pair of n’s shoes near the entryway, causing her to pause slightly. Her instinctive reaction was to assu that Wu Xinghai had returned.

But as she walked further in, she discovered a stranger hurriedly packing up his belongings.

He moved quickly. Su Man didn’t get a good look at what he was gathering; all she could see was him stuffing various little items into a large black ssenger bag, slinging it over his shoulder, looking ready to leave.

Li Li was sitting on the sofa, glaring at Su Man. “Why are you here so early? Didn’t I tell you to wait at the entrance for the delivery?”

“You ordered delivery?” Su Man asked in surprise, pulling out her phone to check. Sure enough, there was an unread ssage from Li Li.

[Li Li the Truth: I ordered delivery. Wait at the entrance to take it and then co up.]

“I didn’t see your ssage earlier,” Su Man said, putting down her phone. “I’ll go down now and grab it for you.”

Li Li’s expression turned complicated. “Forget it… You’re already up here. Just wait until the delivery guy arrives, then head down and fetch it for .”

Most importantly, she had already seen this person. Heading downstairs now wouldn’t change anything.

“Alright then,” Su Man nodded.

The man with the large black bag flashed a polite smile at the two of them and said, “You two carry on; I’ll be heading out now.”

Su Man thought his bag looked too heavy, so she thoughtfully opened the door for him and casually asked, “You’re Li Li’s friend, right? This is the first ti we’re eting.”

Su Man was familiar with most of Li Li’s friends, but this man was completely unfamiliar.

The man’s reaction to Su Man’s question was a little odd. He smiled awkwardly and didn’t respond, coming across as rather shy.

Li Li, still on the sofa, quickly answered on his behalf: “He heard I was injured, so he rushed over after work to check on !”

Su Man gave Li Li a teasing look. “Tsk, I thought you were all about preserving appearances. And yet, here you are, openly telling soone!”

Previously, he’d kept it to himself, not wanting anyone to know, intending to stay hidden until he was fully recovered before going out to et people. But now he was taking the initiative to tell soone—must be a close friend.

With this thought in mind, Su Man extended her right hand toward the unfamiliar man and smiled warmly. “Hello, I’m Su Man. I’m working in traffic—”

“Enough! What’s so special about your job that you need to introduce it?” Li Li, inexplicably irritated, cut her off abruptly. “He’s got urgent matters to attend to, stop chatting pointlessly!”

Su Man’s good mood was completely ruined by his grumbling in an instant.
