Chapter 112: Chapter 103: Seal

The three of them walked forward for a bit and, sure enough, saw a straight line made of gold bars. After following the line for over ten ters, it split into two paths, just as they’d overheard, about seven ters apart.

"This is the place..."

King Tong and King Ning knew the two people they’d just heard must be hiding right in the middle of the two rows of gold bars. They exchanged a look and nodded at the sa ti.

"Go!"

With a low cry, the three of them gathered imnse power and charged down the space between the gold bars.

"Hmm? No one’s here?"

They reached the calculated spot but didn’t see a soul. Just as confusion set in, they heard the dull grinding of machinery all around them.

RUMBLE! SWISH SWISH SWISH SWISH!

This was followed by the sound of countless arrows slicing through the air as a dense volley flew toward them.

"It’s a trap!"

Only now did the three of them realize what was happening. Their charge must have triggered so kind of chanism, and they had fallen into a trap!

Unfortunately, this realization ca too late. They had barely registered the sound of the arrows when a rain of them was already upon them!

PFFT! PFFT! PFFT!

Each arrow carried imnse power, as if launched with the full strength of a Peak Powerhouse of Armor Realm. In less than ten seconds, with the sound of flesh being pierced, the Demon at the Peak of the Armor Realm could no longer hold on. He was turned into a pincushion!

"Damn it, damn it!"

King Ning and King Tong were both at the Peak of the Qi Sect Realm, and their Demonized bodies were incredibly tough. While the arrows couldn’t pierce their Defense, the sheer force of the impacts left them reeling, their internal organs violently shaken.

"Charge through!"

Forcing himself to ignore his injuries, King Ning let out a long cry and charged forward. He had only taken a few steps before he triggered another trap. This ti, jets of highly corrosive acid sprayed violently at him!

"Damn you..."

Drenched in acid, their clothes lted into a foul liquid, and their bodies were burned until blood spurted out. There wasn’t a patch of good skin left on them. King Ning and King Tong were on the verge of a breakdown!

’How could there be so many traps in this place? How did those humans not run into any of them, while we’ve hit every single one...’

As the two of them agonized, a detached voice spoke up.

"Actually, if you had just followed the gold bars, you wouldn’t have triggered any traps. I was kind enough to give you gold and point you down the right path, but no, you just wouldn’t listen. You insisted on walking right into the traps. Sigh. To call you morons and idiots would be a real insult to both words!"

"You... PFFT!"

Hearing this sarcastic taunt, King Ning and King Tong could no longer bear it. Combined with the injuries from the arrows, they both spat out mouthfuls of blood, staining the ground crimson.

’This is so fucking treacherous! Kind enough to give us gold? Pointing us down the right path... I bet if we’d actually gone to pick up the gold, we would have died an even worse death!’

"Sigh, there’s no reasoning with you Demons anyway..."

The speaker shook his head, feigning great disappointnt. He casually picked up a gold ingot and, with a flick of his wrist, tossed it at a nearby stone.

RUMBLE!

The ingot smashed against the stone, apparently triggering yet another chanism. This ti, it wasn’t a rain of arrows or a spray of acid. Instead, sweeping blasts of Qi Force, sharp as Wind Blades, slashed viciously toward King Ning and King Tong!

An Array’s attacks could use stored energy to unleash blasts of Qi Force. These attacks were even deadlier than the arrows. Even for two experts at the Peak of the Qi Sect Realm, this would be more than they could handle!

"Heh heh!"

Having done all this, the figure swaggered about, picking up the gold bars scattered on the ground. With a chuckle, he walked over to Luoo Qingcheng and the others.

The figure was, of course, Nie Yun, who had co to deal with the two kings. He had perford the entire dialogue by himself. Learning to mimic voices was a prerequisite for mastering the Disguise Technique. For Nie Yun, imitating a two-person conversation was simple; he could even replicate the sound of a crowd arguing over a pack of roaring Demon Beasts!

"What happened to them?"

Hearing the traps activate and the miserable howls of King Ning and King Tong, Luoo Zhanhao and the others all wore strange expressions.

They couldn’t see exactly what was happening, but judging from the sounds alone, they could tell the two were undergoing so form of inhuman tornt.

"Heh heh. It’s nothing. These traps might be able to kill soone at the Peak of the Armor Realm, but it would be difficult to kill those two at the Peak of the Qi Sect Realm. Still, even if it doesn’t kill them, it will be enough for them to ’enjoy’ for a while. Let’s hurry. If we wait for them to escape, we’ll have more trouble on our hands!"

Nie Yun chuckled. Without explaining further, he led the group onward.

’These traps are formidable, but killing King Ning and King Tong, both at the Peak of the Qi Sect Realm, would still be difficult. At most, they’ll be left half-dead!’

’And a half-dead expert at the Peak of the Qi Sect Realm is still more than we can handle head-on. We’re better off pressing forward. Once we find a treasure that guarantees we can kill them, we can talk!’

’Otherwise, just like with the previous ambush, we’ll end up in danger, and the risks will outweigh the rewards!’

After leading the group onward for so ti, they saw the mist slowly dissipate, revealing a massive hall.

This hall was magnificent and solemn, emanating an aura of supre majesty.

"This is the Luoo Qu Grand Hall! It’s the very core of the Luoo Qu Tomb. The things our ancestor left behind should be in here!"

Seeing this hall, Luoo Zhanhao’s eyes lit up.

"There doesn’t seem to be anything here, though," Luoo Qingcheng said, puzzled.

The hall was vast and magnificent, illuminated by hundreds of ever-burning lamps that left no corner in shadow. One could see at a glance that it was completely empty.

’Logically, if this really is the core of the Luoo Qu Tomb, there should be plenty of treasures. At the very least, there should be no shortage of Martial Arts, Cultivation Techniques, and weapons, right? How can it be so empty?’

"It is indeed a bit strange!"

Nie Yun glanced around, his brow furrowed. He, too, found it incredible.

’After all the trouble we went through to get here, hoping to find a treasure to fight off the Demon Race invasion... If we leave empty-handed, I might actually cry!’

"Let’s go in and have a look. We can’t see anything from out here!" Nie Xiaotian went first, but after a few steps, he stopped, his brow furrowed. "It seems there’s a seal here!"

"A seal?" Nie Yun paused, then hurried forward. He reached out his hand and indeed felt sothing was wrong.

Although the entrance to the grand hall appeared transparent, as if nothing was there, an invisible mbrane blocked their path. It was similar to the seal under the pool that held back the water, only this one was far more powerful and difficult to break.

"This is an Ultimate Venerable Seal, sothing only an Ultimate Venerable Peak Powerhouse can set up. Qingcheng, give

a drop of your blood to try!"

Nie Yun’s expression turned grave as he touched the seal.

Once a person’s Cultivation reaches the Ultimate Venerable Level, they gain many abilities beyond the imagination of ordinary people. This Ultimate Venerable Seal is one such profound technique. Not even an expert at the Peak of the Qi Sect Realm could hope to break it!

’Since the Luoo Qu Tomb was left by a Luoo Family ancestor for his descendants, blood should be the key to opening it!’

"Okay!" Luoo Qingcheng pricked her finger and, with a light flick, sent a drop of blood flying toward the seal.

RUMBLE!

As the blood struck the seal, the entire grand hall trembled, and a trendous voice bood out.

"Haha, soone has finally co..."
