Lin Yize, on the other hand, had received a lot of information and convenience both on and off the table from Jie Yaobai. The convenience was vague in the novel but it was enough to show that there was soone in high places behind Jie Yaobai.

A few years later, Lin Yize and the Lin Corporation beca the top in City B, which allowed him to have the ability to get rid of Gu Shao.

Jie Yaobai, too, rose with the Lin family.

It was ntioned that Jie Yaobai and the lzy had joined force and got rid of a prominent family.

The novel did not detail out which family it was. After all, the male lead and gotten rid of countless cannon fodders and villains over the years.
