Chapter 16: Mastering the Five Elents
The third and fourth jade slips weren’t thods.
They contained the owner’s past experiences in cultivation, sothing like the diary that Chen Jingzhai had written in his past life. Among the experiences were also introductions to the Blessed Land and anecdotes from the cultivation world.
Chen Jingzhai had managed to learn quite a few things from the two slips.

The young man sighed as he put the slips down. As the owner of the Blessed Land had passed, he would be considered an ancient cultivator.
Chen Jingzhai had to admit that the Demon King was lucky to be able to find such a place and that he was able to master Demonic Arts from the jade slips. He finally understood why the Yellow Sands King wanted Miao Yun to beco his wife. It was so that he could master the Dragon and Phoenix Consummation Seal Script.
Despite the power of Demonic Arts, the Demon King’s power was limited by his bloodline. However, if he could master the script as well, he would be able to break through that limit and step foot on the Path of Celestials.
There was even a high possibility that he could reach the Demonic Celestial Plane.
However, out of all the knowledge that Chen Jingzhai had gained, the most important thing was about the Blessed Land. He had managed to understand how to locate the ley line.
After taking a deep breath, Chen Jingzhai got down from the stone bed and approached the stone table.
He opened his mouth wide, and his spiritual power started to gather to form a whirlpool. With the help of the Absorption thod, he swallowed the milky white liquid in the stone bowl into his stomach.
After wrapping the liquid in his spiritual power, he stored it inside his core. The milky white liquid was the essence produced by the Blessed Land.
It was known as the earth marrow fluid and had the property of remolding a person. It was a rare treasure to find.
Unfortunately, only a little bit of the fluid was left. The rest was probably drunk by the Demon King.
There was nothing left for Chen Jingzhai to discover in the room after absorbing the earth marrow fluid. With the help of the Burrowing Technique once again, he left the place.
When he returned to the iron birch forest, he was shocked to see that Miao Yun was cultivating. Although she still had yet to completely remove the seal, he could feel the vibration from her spiritual power.
“Oh, you’re back? What did you find?” Miao Yun asked after opening her eyes when she noticed that soone was looking at her.
“I found a cave and got a couple of thods,” Chen Jingzhai said and explained everything he had been through thus far.
He didn’t tell her about the alchemy thod that he had found, but he took out the other three jade slips. Miao Yun read the script and listened to Chen Jingzhai explain the contents of the other two slips.
“I’ve heard about the Blessed Land of Western Sands and Miraculous Illusions before. There’s a record of it in our clan,” she said, after a short mont of silence. “However, it was lost to mankind and no one could find it for the past few thousand years. Who would’ve thought that the Yellow Sands King would discover it? What a waste. What do you plan to do now?”
Since she still had yet to recover all of her powers and the fact that the slips were all found by Chen Jingzhai, it was natural for her to respect his decisions.
“We have wasted a lot of ti here. They should have noticed that you’re gone by now,” the young man replied. “Our best option now is to find the ley line as soon as possible.”
“We don’t have to hurry. There’s still ti for us,” Miao Yun assured. “This garden has a lot of amazing dicinal herbs. Although I didn’t find any Grade 3 ones, these are still able to help undo the seal and recover a part of my power. How about this? We’ll split up. I’ll continue to cultivate her while you search for the ley line?”
The effect of the Grade 2 yellow ginseng was better than she had expected. It could be because the dicinal herb was grown in a Blessed Land or perhaps because it had been growing for a long ti.
Even though she had yet to break the seal, she was able to recover a large part of her power. She needed more ti to return to her original state because she didn’t want to trouble Chen Jingzhai if anything were to happen.
The biggest reason she was able to co to such a conclusion was that she was sure that no one had discovered that she was gone yet.
As She Ya had to revert to her true form to try and influence Miao Yun, having to stop her spell midway had resulted in her power backfiring.
Miao Yun was sure that the snake general would take at least a few hours to try and recover before attempting again on the last day. Since only a night had passed, there was still a full day for Miao Yun to cultivate, and she was sure that it was enough ti for her to undo the seal that was put on her and for Chen Jingzhai to locate the ley line.
She was also sure that no other demons would enter the cave she was supposed to be in. Seeing the determination in Miao Yun’s eyes, Chen Jingzhai agreed to the plan and disappeared into the floor with the Burrowing Technique. He did not return to the cave. Instead, he headed to the Land of Five Elents.
That was the place where the essence power was the densest in the Blessed Land. It was located on top of the mountain instead of the cave. There was a stone on top of the mountain. As Chen Jingzhai stood on it, he was able to see the whole Blessed Land.
“Let’s begin!” he said to himself and sat down on the stone.

He was curious about the changes that would occur once he had mastered all five elents.
There were a lot of five-elent fruits in the Blessed Land, and he had already collected a few of them.
Although he had yet to find a five-elent spirit jade, the stone that he was sitting on was sothing better than the jade.
According to the information he had gained from the jade slips, the stone was a divine stone that consisted of all five elents.
The previous owner of the Blessed Land, the ancient cultivator, had managed to spot the divine stone falling from the sky, and he took it back to the Blessed Land with him.
The reason the Blessed Land, which originally only had dense earth essence power, had the essence powers of all five elents was because of that divine stone.
Even the ancient cultivator who had stepped foot into the Celestial Plane was not able to process the divine stone. In the end, he decided to leave it on top of the mountain to act as a sacred object.
As Chen Jingzhai’s heart raced, he quickly recited the ditation Mantra. Once he had cald down, he took out a five-elent spirit fruit from his sleeve pocket. There were five of them, each representing a different elent. They were all as big as a baby’s fist but were plump. He then started to devour each fruit according to its flaw.
The first thing he ate was the earth-elent spirit fruit. He swallowed it whole and started to circulate the Rock Technique. The spiritual fruit was fully absorbed after the 36th circulation.
The next was the Evergreen Technique after eating the wood-elent spirit fruit, followed by the Golden Light Technique for the tal-elent spirit fruit. For the final two, the water-elent and fire-elent spirit fruits, he circulated the Rainwater Technique and the Fire Cloud Technique, respectively, all for the sa 36 circulations.
After consuming all five fruits, Chen Jingzhai entered a state of deep ditation. The five techniques started to circulate inside of him. The spiritual power in his core started to seep into all five of his organs.
The earth, tal, and fire spirit roots started to tremble. They were shaking much faster and with more power than when Chen Jingzhai first inducted Qi into his body.
However, he was unable to feel the trembling happening inside of him. Instead, he was completely calm. He had entered an empty state of mind. He could not feel anything, as if he had lost all contact with the rest of the world.
The only spiritual power inside of him, the earth spiritual power, started to shift toward the five-elent spiritual power after he had consud the five-elent spirit fruits. It only took a few seconds for his yellow earth spiritual power to shine in five different colors.
Another miracle that had happened inside Chen Jingzhai was that when he circulated all five techniques, his three-elent spirit root began to be enveloped in a faint light as the circulations reached the sa frequency.
The now shining spirit root slowly seeped into his five organs. At the sa ti, the dense essence powers of all five elents started to perate his body through the divine stone he was sitting on.
All Chen Jingzhai could feel at that mont was comfort throughout his whole body. As his five organs were each covered by the spiritual power of different elents, they finally shone in five different colors representing each elent.
