Landon Lawson’s eyes narrowed slightly, a faint cold light flickered in his pupils...

"Do you really think eavesdropping on my phone calls is an honorable thing?"

"No, no, definitely not." Caleb Shawcross shook his head repeatedly, right now he really didn’t dare to provoke Landon Lawson at all.

Caleb suddenly stood up, looking very solemn as he said to the two of them, "I’m very clear about my position now. You’re my protector, I wouldn’t dare to flaunt myself in front of you. In the future, I won’t do anything you don’t allow to."

Landon’s eyebrows gently arched, obviously surprised at how clearly this man understood, and nodded with satisfaction, gesturing to Nolan Shaw.

Nolan then said to Caleb, "Seeing how sincere you are in admitting your mistake, we’ll forgive you."

Caleb pouted pitifully, "Why do I feel like I’ve fallen into a trap?"

"A trap? Are you serious? You think the two of us need to sche against you?"

Nolan’s mouth curled into a mocking smile.

Suddenly, Landon turned to Caleb and said, "There are actually so things I’ve always wanted to ask you."

"What do you want to ask ?" Caleb looked at Landon, puzzled.

The man’s lips parted slightly, "I’ve always wanted to know why you suddenly sought out. I’ve investigated you before; you’re just an adopted child in their family, why be so loyal?"

Caleb was montarily stunned, then the determination in his eyes grew stronger, "One must know gratitude. Since the old man brought back and raised , I should repay that."

Listening to Caleb, Landon’s eyes gradually narrowed, and he coughed lightly, saying, "Seeing you like this puts my mind at ease."

"Hmm? At ease about what?"

"Knowing you’re truly grateful eases my mind. I was wondering why you suddenly ca to ..."

Landon’s voice softened.

Caleb’s voice grew choked, actually, he lived well in the Shawcross Family as a child, but later, everything fell apart because of the Second Young Master’s unilateral actions, shattering the originally harmonious family.

As a child, Caleb had dread of serving the Shawcross Family all his life, repaying them for their help.

But now the family is broken.

Even the old man’s life was saved by him with great difficulty...

Recalling this, Caleb’s eyes looked sowhat desolate, which Landon and Nolan noticed clearly. After exchanging a glance, they left him alone there.

Landon and Nolan walked out of the office, and Nolan, slightly worried, said to Landon, "Babe running off to the IT company this early in the morning, why do I still feel a slight unease?"

Landon’s brows furrowed; this matter puzzled him too. If it weren’t for that man calling him earlier, no one else would have known about today’s incident.

Landon felt a pang of worry. Could Babe have discovered sothing?

"What exactly happened? Are you sure you didn’t tell him anything?"

"President! I promise you, I didn’t tell him anything."

Hearing Nolan’s assurance, Landon’s frown deepened. If he didn’t say anything, then where did Babe find out from?

Nolan suddenly had an epiphany and shouted, "Martin Kerr! Yes! It must be him. I rember he had tea alone with Babe before."

Listening to Nolan’s reminder, a trace of helplessness flashed in Landon’s eyes. Others might think Babe is an innocent, pure-hearted child, but only he knows that this kid is as cold and cunning as him. Being deceived by his innocent appearance could lead to a huge loss...

"Call Martin Kerr for ."

After Landon’s order, Nolan went to call Martin Kerr.

anwhile, Landon sat in his place, recalling the conversation he’d had earlier with the IT manager...

Ever since Babe arrived at the IT company, he kept inquiring about Landon’s situations, even occasionally typing code on the computer. The man originally found it curious and used an excuse to trick Babe away... and when he checked the computer that Babe had been using, he found out Babe had silently hacked into Landon’s company computer...

Seeing this, he realized that sothing was not right, which is why he called Landon.

Thinking about this, Landon’s beautiful eyes narrowed into slits...

Right after receiving the man’s call, he deleted all files from his computer, so now even if Babe tries to invade his computer, there would be nothing to see...

But all this chaos was caused by Martin Kerr... how could he let that brat off?

An two-hour later.

"What’s so urgent you need to see ? Don’t tell you just want to have lunch with ?" Before hearing a knock at the door, Martin’s voice was already heard, causing Landon’s eyebrows to twitch slightly. It seed this man didn’t know the real reason he was being called.

Martin entered, and with a smile, he sat down in front of Landon, "Looks like you’re really in a good mood lately, even having ti to invite to lunch?"

"After all, we need to keep in touch, or else so things can’t be done."

Landon’s lips curled with a teasing smile, while Martin, puzzled, frowned slightly, unable to understand what Landon ant by this.

But thinking it over, he couldn’t recall ever wronging Landon, so today definitely wasn’t about confrontation.

"What do you feel like having for lunch? It’s on ."

"Oh, are you serious?"

A faint hint of amusent flickered in Landon’s eyes, and Martin generously waved his hand, "It’s just a al, surely I can afford it, right?"

"I love seeing your generous side, truly impressive."

The corners of the man’s mouth held a thick smile, yet at this mont, Martin remained oblivious to the man’s peculiar deanor, continuing to smile cheerfully.

Half a two-hour later.

"Thank you, President Kerr."

"President Kerr is mighty!"
