Sean Carter looked helplessly at Chiara Thorne. In fact, even he didn’t know if Chiara had actually misspoken.

Ever since Chiara returned today, she had been hinting at sothing without saying it outright. Even soone like Sean Carter could tell sothing was off, let alone Felix Orwell, their ever-shrewd president. How could he not notice?

And so, under Felix Orwell’s "coercion and enticent," Chiara spilled everything. She held nothing back, including Sienna Quinn’s desire to reconcile with Landon Lawson.

After hearing all this, Felix Orwell still had a nonchalant expression, but he turned around and went back to his office. Contrary to what Chiara and Sean expected, he never erged again. They assud that Felix wouldn’t take it to heart. After all, five years had passed without getting a definite answer from Sienna, and he had never given up.

Initially, they thought it would be like all the tis before.

At most, it would just be a period of heartache, and nobody would really mind.

But as it got later, and Felix still refused to co out, Sean Carter and Chiara Thorne finally sensed sothing was unusual; it wasn’t that simple.

In the end, it was Sean Carter who mustered the courage to go in.

What he saw was that very scene; it was the first ti he had seen Felix Orwell that silent, so silent that it felt unfamiliar.

"Maybe... we should check the surveillance?" Chiara Thorne asked softly.

Sean Carter paused and, after pondering for a mont, nodded. The two jogged to the surveillance room and asked security to step out.

Sean Carter tapped on the screen, inputting a special password, and another screen popped up—one that no one else had ever seen.

Chiara Thorne supported her hands on the table, craning her neck to look at the image, her pupils gradually widening.

When Sean Carter looked over, his eyes also widened, and they exchanged a glance, seeing disbelief in each other’s eyes.

On the screen was the surveillance of Felix Orwell’s office. Since it was the president’s office, the security asures should be more comprehensive than anywhere else, including surveillance.

But after all, it was the president’s office, and only with a specific password could one see the video from Felix Orwell’s office.

However, on the screen, there was a man curled up in the corner, arms around his knees, his head buried between them.

It’s said that when people are sad, they assu a fetal position, as it gives them a sense of security. At this mont, Felix Orwell was in this position.

Felix Orwell, who always wore his heart on his sleeve and never took anything to heart, this ti, Sean Carter and Chiara Thorne realized they were utterly wrong.

"It seems Young President Orwell is truly heartbroken this ti," Chiara Thorne said, a hint of helplessness in her voice.

Sean Carter could not deny it, "Actually, he’s not worried about soone liking Sienna; it’s because Sienna wants to be with Landon that even Young President Orwell can’t do anything about it."

Even if you want to pursue a girl, if her heart isn’t with you, there’s nothing you can do.

Quinn Family Villa.

Since Sienna took over the company, so ti had passed. Although she controlled the company, she hadn’t eradicated him completely.

"Dinner’s ready," Amanda Warren ca down from upstairs, looking at Tom Quinn who was sitting in the living room watching TV, with a hint of displeasure in her eyes, staring at him coldly.

Tom Quinn turned his head, glanced at Amanda, huffed a couple of tis, and too lazy to argue with her, stood up and walked toward the kitchen.

"How’s the company doing lately?" Old Mrs. Quinn slowly opened her mouth.

"Everything’s running smoothly," Tom said casually. These days, without having to worry about the company’s affairs, this carefree lifestyle made him particularly relaxed. Even Tom had to admit, the decisions Sienna made in the company weren’t sothing just anyone could achieve.

This alone made Tom realize that maybe handing Quinn Group over to Sienna wasn’t such a big deal after all.

Moreover, even though Sienna took over the Quinn Group, she hadn’t interfered too much with the internal affairs, rely implenting minor reforms that yielded excellent results.

This life of not worrying about the company had beco addictive for Tom.

Enjoying retirent this way wasn’t out of the question.

Old Mrs. Quinn looked at Tom; there was no longer any visible turmoil in his face. This ti, it seed he had genuinely accepted it, and he probably wouldn’t stir up any more trouble.

"Sienna’s handling things quite well?"

"Indeed, this young girl has skills," Tom said with a laugh, clearly very satisfied.

But sitting nearby, Clara Quinn, who had been eating quietly, snorted, "What’s the big deal? She’s just relying on n. Without Landon Lawson and Felix Orwell, what would she even be?"

Clara Quinn said with a hint of anger. That confession the other day had utterly embarrassed her. This ti, with Sienna returning to the country, she had been on the losing end in everything. No matter what she did, Clara was no match for Sienna. Every ti she thought about it, there was a bitterness in her heart that wouldn’t go away. She was supposed to be the one in charge.

"Shut your mouth, and take a look at the foolish things you’ve done. If it weren’t for you, how would my position have been lost?" As soon as Clara opened her mouth, Tom snapped back, his face dark and frightening, a completely different person from just monts ago.

Clara stared at her father, tears instantly welling up.

Amanda, who was eating, glared at Tom, "What are you doing? Ruining a perfectly good al. Is this how you act as a father?"

Bang!

A pair of chopsticks flew, and Tom’s face blackened, the muscles at the corners of his mouth twitching incessantly. With an unpleasant expression, he said, ", being a father like this? Then how do you act as a mother? Look at how you’ve spoiled her. She’s beco more and more unruly. Tomorrow, she’ll go to France."

Tom snorted coldly, having truly run out of patience this ti.

At the ntion of France, both Amanda and Clara froze, and the latter shook her head repeatedly.

"I don’t want to go to France! I’m doing perfectly fine here in the country. Why should I go to France?"

"Look at the state you’ve beco thanks to being spoiled. Only going to France for so proper training will do you good. Otherwise, how do you think Sienna beca so exceptional?" Tom glared at Clara sternly.

He had actually discussed this with Amanda a long ti ago, but she had always disagreed. Now it seed Amanda must have told Clara about it; otherwise, her reaction wouldn’t have been this strong.

"Father, how can you make endure such a tough life there? Am I the sa as Sienna? Why should soone like her be compared to ?"
