Evan Quinn could see right through Sienna Quinn’s thoughts. She’s been busy trying to secure the HR Group’s cooperation these days, and hasn’t had a good ti with him for several consecutive days.
Evan Quinn’s childish whining truly lted her heart, feeling sympathetic, she could only agree.
"Give a mont, I’ll finish up so docunts and co down."
Hanging up the phone, Landon Lawson turned his head, seeing Evan Quinn showing off a row of little white teeth with pride, raising his little hand in triumph. Landon stared at his palm, confused as he furrowed his brow.
Evan Quinn pouted, "High five!"
Landon chuckled lightly, willingly raised his hand to high-five him. Truly Evan is his biological son, knowing every bit of his thoughts.
If it weren’t for Evan today, Sienna wouldn’t have been persuaded.
But why did Sienna suddenly backpedal on the dinner plans she agreed to earlier?
Is she hiding sothing difficult to explain?
Landon’s brain was whirring rapidly; Sienna must definitely have sothing going on.
Before heading downstairs, Sienna checked herself in the mirror, touched up her makeup simply, especially applying so lipstick, which made her look much more vibrant. She picked up her bag beside her and headed out.
Axel Yates had just arrived at Sienna’s office, saw her about to leave, and smiled, "Heading back? I haven’t seen little Chloe for a long ti. Let treat you both to dinner today."
"Looks like you’ll be disappointed. I already have other plans today," Sienna said with a smile.
"Other plans?"
"I promised Chloe earlier that every week I’d have dinner with Landon Lawson, just to give him a normal childhood."
Sienna’s gaze drifted a little; even though Evan Quinn might be mature and sensible, he is still a kid, yearning for a father and a complete family. Ever since he was young, watching others have fathers, he wondered who his father was, though he stopped asking later. But now that he knows, how could Sienna hinder him from being with his father?
It’s unfair!
Sienna rely wishes Evan Quinn can grow up peacefully and safely.
Axel Yates was montarily stunned, realizing Sienna was going to have dinner with Landon Lawson, then smiled lightly, "Alright, next ti then."
Sienna walked past him with a smile, a flood of fragrance wafting from her, lingering at the tip of his nose. Axel greedily inhaled, suddenly saying, "Regarding the Lawson Group, I gathered so information. Apparently, if they secure the cooperation with the HR Group, they are planning to collaborate with the Grant Group. But since they didn’t close the deal, the Grant Group dispatched Miles Grant to find Landon Lawson."
Sienna paused her steps, turning around looking at Axel Yates in astonishnt, "Miles Grant went to find Landon Lawson?"
"Yes, since the old master passed away, the Grant Group was handed over to Miles Grant’s father. But he’s entirely a layabout with no capability, while Miles opted to beco a doctor. Frankly speaking, the Grant Group is sustained thanks to Landon Lawson."
Sienna naturally understood that Miles Grant and Landon Lawson have been good friends since childhood, and Mr. Grant’s utter lack of drive made the company barely hold together, thanks to Landon Lawson’s support over the years. But surprisingly, just after the HR Group announced cooperation partners, Miles Grant approached them yesterday.
"I heard there’s another business deal with Landon Lawson." Axel Yates chuckled and shook his head; the Grant Family are like parasites, a short ti isn’t significant, but over ti Landon Lawson might get sucked dry.
"Why did Miles Grant seek out Landon Lawson?" Sienna couldn’t help but be intrigued concerning Miles Grant.
Axel Yates looked at Sienna in surprise, suddenly puzzled whether she was interested in Landon Lawson or Miles Grant, considering she is Landon Lawson’s ex-wife, she should know Miles Grant.
But seeing Sienna’s gaze, why was it filled with hatred?
This unusual look caused a shiver in Axel Yates’s heart.
"I heard Landon Lawson awarded a different deal. The Grant Family always operates like this, never actively seeking business, only consuming what’s close by. Landon Lawson does it for Miles Grant, but how long can this favor last?" Axel Yates amusingly shook his head, thinking the Grant Family is akin to mud that can’t hold up a wall.
Sienna squinted her eyes slightly, seems like Miles Grant’s background isn’t as formidable as rumors suggest, making it easier to move against. But would Landon Lawson really stand by and watch her move against Miles Grant?
Axel Yates waved his hand in front of the silent woman for a while, "What’s wrong? Why do I always feel you’re very interested in Miles Grant? If you ever need sothing from , feel free to tell , I will assist you unconditionally."
"I only knew him from before, and there’s really nothing that needs help." Sienna smiled lightly, then bid farewell to Axel Yates. Talking about Miles Grant earlier, Sienna montarily lost control over her emotions.
Continuing would surely alert Axel Yates.
"Mom’s coming down, quick, go open the door, be a gentleman." Evan Quinn instructed Landon Lawson.
Landon Lawson didn’t know why he was so obedient, but he actually listened to Evan Quinn.
Landon got out of the car and opened the door, as Sienna scanned the man up and down, trying to discern sothing from his eyes, but Landon had his perpetual poker face, revealing nothing but calmness.
"Even when you see a handso man, you don’t have to stare so intensely." Landon suddenly spoke.
Sienna was montarily stunned, only now realizing she had been staring at him.
Watching the woman’s back as she got in the car, Landon found himself montarily lost in thought; compared to five years ago, Sienna looks more refined and feminine now.
"Mom, doesn’t Dad look handso today!" Evan Quinn asked Sienna, while his eyes were fixed on Landon, sensing the subtle emotion between the two earlier, quickly stepping in to diate; he’s truly a little rascal.
"Let’s go eat pizza! You guys can have steak and drink wine!" Evan excitedly suggested to Sienna.
Then he mumbled softly to himself, "That’s what they show in dramas, I shouldn’t be wrong!"
"What are you saying?" Sienna, being closest, heard sowhat clearly, although fragnted, she seed to make sothing of it.
Evan hurriedly waved his hands, "Nothing, I just said mom looks beautiful today."
Sienna gently tousled his neatly combed hair, after a few days apart, how he seed more mature and composed, and even sweeter.
"Alright, we’ll follow whatever you say." Sienna laughingly whispered, hugging Evan a bit tighter.
