Axel Yates’ actions caused a stir. Everyone widened their eyes to watch the two. Standing behind Axel Yates, Sean Carter and Danielle Carter’s pupils gradually enlarged, with the forr furrowing his brow, feeling an ill premonition.

Sienna Quinn stood there bewildered; the man’s actions left her montarily unresponsive. It was only after Axel Yates had taken his hand away that she ca to her senses, awkwardly smiling as she rubbed the spot the man had just touched.

"Does it still hurt?" Axel Yates asked softly.

Sienna Quinn awkwardly shook her head, mumbling, "It doesn’t hurt, it doesn’t hurt anymore!"

"It’s good that it no longer hurts. Why do you seem so lost? Is there sothing on your mind?"

Looking at Axel Yates’ expression, Sienna Quinn reached out and handed the docunt to Axel Yates, her voice becoming sowhat hushed, "Take a look."

Axel Yates took the docunt, glanced at it, and furrowed his handso brow but smiled as he said, "What are you showing ? There’s nothing on it."

Sienna Quinn nodded, yes indeed, there was nothing on it, "This is Lawson Group’s plan for today’s eting."

"What?" Even Axel Yates was completely stunned this ti. If this truly was Lawson Group’s plan, then all previous doubts would be resolved.

Their unusual behavior caught Sean Carter’s attention as well. He stepped forward, looking at the blank docunt, furrowing his brow tightly, "What does Landon Lawson an by this? Is he deliberately letting us off?"

"Seems like it." Axel Yates chuckled. This move by Landon Lawson was unexpected; using such a ans was indeed extraordinary.

Sean Carter looked worriedly at Sienna Quinn, "Didn’t you two have a wager? Does he no longer want the child?"

Everyone knew about their bet, which had been docunted—if Sienna Quinn held the promise, Landon Lawson would unconditionally relinquish custody rights and could not compete with her.

Though victory was achieved, Sienna Quinn felt an unsettling void inside, a mysterious unease that made her uncomfortable.

Axel Yates surveyed around them; their presence had disrupted the order, many people were staring straight at them, whispering, "We better discuss this upstairs; talking here seems inconvenient."

Sienna Quinn and Sean Carter looked around, realizing they had beco the center of attention surrounded by people, not feeling at ease.

The corners of their mouths twitched slightly; being watched like this was unexpected, with so even holding phones, occasionally pressing the shutter.

To avoid further commotion, the group headed upstairs with the docunt.

Sienna Quinn held the blank docunt in her hand, her thoughts already far away.

Sean Carter and Axel Yates furrowed their good-looking brows; Danielle Carter guarded the door, preventing anyone from coming in to disturb them.

"I don’t believe Landon Lawson doesn’t have other plans. In just a few years, the kind of person who could develop Lawson Group to this extent is no simple role. Moreover, securing the cooperation with HR doesn’t just get him Evan Quinn’s custody, it also forces Sienna Quinn to resign. This would be all advantage to him—he’d get the son, weaken Yates Group’s top staff, and open foreign markets, yet does Landon Lawson let it go just like that?"

Sean Carter’s business acun even Sienna Quinn couldn’t surpass. Otherwise, Felix Orwell wouldn’t have trusted him to co over and protect Sienna Quinn, ensuring Sean Carter could safeguard her comprehensively.

Sienna Quinn’s brow locked tight. Sean Carter’s analysis made sense. Landon Lawson wouldn’t be so benevolent as to rely let slip—there must be a more significant reason, but what exactly is he planning?

Axel Yates furrowed his brow tightly; for a mont, the three couldn’t figure out Landon Lawson’s true intentions.

anwhile, the main player was sitting upright in the conference room, with board mbers obediently seated below, yet no one dared start speaking—the entire room was deadly silent.

Landon Lawson sat expressionless, emitting an intense aura around him that prevented anyone from speaking. Nolan Shaw stood dumbly beside him; the board eting, held so rarely, was due to the loss of HR Group’s cooperation. Who knew who raised the topic for this eting? Originally expected to be an outright criticism, but to everyone’s surprise, upon arrival, they rely exchanged glances, hesitant to speak first, each waiting for the other’s opening line.

Nolan Shaw clicked his tongue, shaking his head. Other companies might oust their CEO during board etings, but it’s the opposite in Lawson Group—Landon Lawson kept them in such obsequious submission, daring not to express dissent; none dared speak up till now.

"Is there truly nothing you wish to discuss at this board eting you’ve convened?"

No one had spoken yet. Finally, Landon Lawson broke the silence. All peoples eyes turned expectantly towards the oldest board mber who had worked alongside Landon Lawson’s grandfather in the company, the one senior in tenure.

The man coughed gently, not daring to et Landon Lawson’s gaze, "President Lawson, your abilities are evident to all of us, but this HR Group cooperation..."

The elder had phrased it very tactfully, giving Landon Lawson ample face.

All eyes turned to Landon Lawson, seeking his response. Still cold-faced, he eventually spoke under hopeful gazes, "I have my reasons, never judge based on surface appearances."

Expressionless as he said these words, in such a serious manner, all the board mbers were stunned; was he serious?

Everyone looked at one another before finally believing Landon Lawson.

This board eting proved ineffective, not only failing to intimidate him but having been thoroughly frightened instead.

Nolan Shaw followed Landon Lawson from the eting back to the office. Several tis he almost spoke, but their leader’s indifferent gaze made it impossible to discern what was in his mind. It was all so well disguised.

"What do you want to ask?" Landon Lawson suddenly spoke, startling Nolan Shaw with a shiver.

"Was it truly intentional?" Nolan Shaw held a skeptical attitude towards Landon Lawson’s earlier statents. Yet recalling his character, he believed it; such situations had occurred before, seemingly failures for Landon Lawson, but ultimately, Lawson Group profited. Without Landon Lawson’s decision then, such profits wouldn’t have followed. Landon Lawson saw further than others, which is why he could sway the board—not re reputation.
