Landon Lawson really couldn’t sit still in the hospital. This feeling of being out of control made him increasingly unable to figure himself out.

He ca here today just to figure out what was going on with him. Why was he being led around by Sienna Quinn like this? Yet after arriving, he found himself increasingly unable to leave her.

Not only were his doubts unresolved, but he beca even more confused.

Landon Lawson turned off the lights in the living room and lay alone on the sofa. It was mid-sumr, and although the air was warm, he felt a bit cold because of the air conditioner. He draped his coat over himself, his mind racing.

Calm now, he was filled with questions.

Just now, Sienna thought he was a villain. But why did she first suspect Vera Yates and Miles Grant? She even suspected the Quinn Family?

He’s t the Quinn Family. Though they aren’t exactly friendly to her, they wouldn’t go so far as to send soone to harm her. Vera Yates and Miles Grant—one he’s known for years like a sister, the other a best friend since childhood—these are people he knows well and none would harm Sienna.

But what’s wrong with Sienna?

Landon Lawson narrowed his eyes, his gaze towards the man becoming increasingly deep.

Early the next morning, Amanda Warren sat at ho drinking tea, lounging casually on the sofa. She said to the butler who brought the breakfast, "What ti is it? Why hasn’t the young lady co down yet?"

"It’s already half past seven. Miss only ca back at three in the morning, she’s probably still sleeping now."

Hearing the butler’s report, Amanda Warren frowned. This Clara Quinn was becoming increasingly outrageous. With Tom Quinn and Old Mrs. Quinn at ho, how dare she play until so late?

A flash of anger crossed her brow. "Don’t tell the master."

The butler nodded in understanding. Having been in this position for years, he knew that in matters like these it was best to know less. Even if he knew, he couldn’t spread it around; otherwise, he’d be the one punished.

Calculating the ti, Tom Quinn ca downstairs. Amanda handed him the briefcase that had been prepared, speaking slowly, "Today’s work is all in there."

Tom nodded. Ever since knowing Sienna returned, his mood had been off. The existence of that child always threatened his position in the company, keeping him on edge.

Amanda watched Tom frowning even over breakfast and spoke slowly, "Still troubled by Sienna’s presence?"

Seeing Tom’s frown, Amanda knew she guessed right. It was indeed because of Sienna. "Now that Sienna has returned, and brought back a son of Landon Lawson, you saw at the family banquet—Landon said he would be their backing."

"Hmph! Does she really think she can rise to power because of a child? When our brother and sister-in-law died, why didn’t she die with them? It would have been better that way."

"Stop saying nonsense!"

Amanda was startled. Tom Quinn really dared to say anything. She quickly looked around and, seeing no one else heard, breathed a sigh of relief. His words were inappropriate, and Amanda’s reminder brought Tom to his senses.

But his expression wasn’t good, letting out a cold snort.

"What if Mom hears what you said? At the last family banquet, Sienna already expressed suspicion about our brother and sister-in-law’s deaths. If your words get out, it could be damned incriminating."

Seeing Amanda’s anxious expression, Tom felt annoyed, "Stop being so nagging!"

After saying that, he couldn’t eat any more and left with his briefcase.

Amanda watched Tom’s departing figure, let out a cold snort, and continued her breakfast.

Since the last family banquet, Amanda had been busy arranging Sienna’s birthday celebration. She now managed the household affairs of the Quinn Family, needing to take care of Sienna. Otherwise, people might say the Quinn Family was treating Sienna harshly.

"Go drag Claire down here!" Amanda Ward swallowed her last sip of milk and said.

Ten minutes later, Clara Quinn was yawning repeatedly, sitting in front of Amanda, muttering in dissatisfaction, "Why did you call down? Haven’t I said I’m not having breakfast?"

"You silly child, can’t you let have so peace of mind for a single day? I can barely keep up with covering for you every day!" Amanda watched Clara’s nonchalant expression, feeling vexed.

Clara didn’t care. After all, her bar-hopping escapades were no secret at ho.

Besides, no matter what happened, she was ultimately Tom Quinn’s daughter, the Quinn Family’s young lady. Would they truly discipline her?

"Why are you so nagging? It’s so early, what’s the big deal? If there’s nothing, I want to go back to sleep."

"No more sleeping! Go deliver these invitations personally."

"Invitations?"

Clara paused, then rembered that Amanda had been busy with Sienna’s birthday celebration. She was to deliver these invitations? For Sienna’s birthday?

Clara’s face turned darker, crossing her arms and sneering, "Mom, you must be joking."

"Just go and don’t fuss over it!"

Amanda scolded her daughter who, though lacking any skills, had a bad temper. She couldn’t hide her emotions, wearing her disdain openly, lacking any tact.

If this continued, she would surely suffer greatly in life.

She forcefully hit Clara on the head, growing more furious, "How did I give birth to sothing like you? You have none of my brains. How are you supposed to manage in the future?"

Clara grunted in pain, rubbing her head irritably, "You always call stupid and silly. Didn’t you give birth to ? If you keep hitting like this, I’d be daft even if I wasn’t."

"You even learned to talk back?" Amanda’s chest heaved in anger.

Clara picked up the invitations on the table, snapping, "I won’t sleep, okay? I’ll deliver these invitations—personally!" With that, she ran upstairs to change clothes.

Amanda’s face darkened. Though the Quinn Group was currently controlled by Tom, Old Mrs. Quinn’s influence was still strong. If she didn’t want Tom in charge anymore, he’d have to step down.

Half an hour later, Clara ca downstairs, grood and dressed, yawning intermittently as she looked at Amanda sitting on the living room sofa.

"I’m going now, okay?"

Amanda looked at her daughter, speaking slowly, "You have to win the old lady’s favor. If you deliver these invitations, it’ll certainly go over well."

"Even without delivering them, Grandma still likes the most!"
