Considering that the Parasol Divine Wood had been broken, the current tree had regrown from its roots, Chen Mobai believed his speculation was correct.
"This river is called the Red Water River, the first river of the Southern State. It traverses the continent, not just through Du Guang Field, but other Southern State civilizations are generally established along this river..." The Great Ancient True Monarch continued his dedicated introduction.
The group stood by the riverbank, opposite a lush Parasol Tree Forest with trees of various grades, several of which were Rank-5. Together, they surrounded the Rank-6 peak Parasol Divine Wood from low to high.
This scene was quite similar to the Danxia Mountain side of the Immortal Gate. Upon seeing it, a hint of nostalgia flickered in Chen Mobai’s eyes.
Initially, there was no Red Water River in the Southern State, nor was there the Southern State Continent. It emerged newly from the sea, a barren volcanic land. But after the Fire Phoenix attained the Tao in Du Guang Field, it used the Parasol Divine Wood to suppress myriad Fire Veins and invited the Mother of Water to create this river. Drawing water from Heaven and Sea, it allowed life to be nurtured in this world.
The civilization of the Southern State is intertwined with the history of the Red Water River.
As they spoke, a wooden spirit ship, hollowed from Parasol Wood, had arrived from the opposite bank, carrying a man and a woman.
The man held a wooden oar, dressed in rough linen, with bronzed skin brimming with masculinity.
The woman wore a red gauze Feather Robe, her red hair and golden eyes contrasting with her snow-white skin.
"Greetings, Clan Leader."
Both the man and the woman were in the Nascent Soul Realm, and as they approached the shore, they greeted Feng Qingshu.
"This is the Saint Heir Feng Zhaoming and the Saintess Feng Lizhu of our clan’s current generation."
Feng Qingshu briefly introduced them, and Chen Mobai and the others politely exchanged greetings before boarding the Parasol Wood spirit ship with Feng Qingshu.
This section of the Red Water River is suppressed by the Dao of the Rank-6 Parasol Divine Wood, allowing only beings with the Phoenix bloodline to fly. Even though they were God-Transcending cultivators, they couldn’t resist it.
"So what about teleporting using the Void Secret Technique?"
After hearing the Great Ancient True Monarch’s explanation of why they had to take the ship, Chen Mobai couldn’t help but ask.
"I haven’t tried that,"
The Great Ancient True Monarch hesitated, glanced at Feng Qingshu, and replied.
But seeing his expression, Chen Mobai knew he had definitely tried it before, but with the master present, he chose not to speak.
"The Void Secret Technique is also within the forbidden scope, though if one possesses the Heaven Measuring Ruler, there’s no restraint."
Feng Qingshu answered the question directly.
Evidently, Taixu MiaoMiao Palace must have had a Palace Master who came here with the Treasure of Dao and broke through the seals of the Parasol Divine Wood.
The Phoenix tribe of Du Guang Field lives within the Parasol Tree Forest, where there’s a tribe named Heavenly Phoenix Valley. Outside the forest lies an endless expanse of Spirit Fields, which constitutes Du Guang Field. The vista reveals mostly Rank-5 Spirit Fields, with quite a few Rank-6 ones too.
After disembarking, Dustless True Monarch’s gaze remained locked on the vast Spirit Field, being visibly excited at the sight of some precious herbs.
"The Rank-6 Fire Cloud Ginseng needed for refining the Immortality Pill, and other resources, have been prepared by Lizhu. Once Mr. Chen finishes the repairs, they will be presented to him."
Seeing Dustless True Monarch’s demeanor, Feng Qingshu exchanged a glance with Ao Yuxia and spoke.
"Many thanks, Clan Leader Feng."
Upon hearing this, Dustless True Monarch felt relieved, continuously nodding.
They then followed Feng Qingshu to the destination.
The center of Heavenly Phoenix Valley is the Rank-6 Parasol Divine Wood. The Phoenix tribe resides under the tree, with only Feng Qingshu, the Saint Heir, the Saintess, and a few other distinguished clan members living on the tree.
However, the Divine Wood has one rule: God-Transcending cultivators may ascend.
Because long ago, this was the path to the Spiritual Void Immortal Realm.
Being God-Transcending cultivators, Chen Mobai and pany followed Feng Qingshu, stepping onto the trunk to a Qin Hall constructed between the branches, inscribed with the words "Phoenix Seeks Phoenix."
Here, the Nine Tribulations Heavenly Phoenix Zither is enshrined.
Upon entering, Chen Mobai saw a qin entirely of red gold, its body made of Parasol Wood, with nine feathers at its tail, yet only the far left string was intact.
"Greetings, Ancestor."
As Feng Qingshu entered, he formed a seal with his hands, performing an offering mantra, and bowed to the ancient zither.
Soon, a red glow illuminated the qin’s tail, rising like flames, from which a languid and graceful Fire Phoenix emerged, standing atop the zither string.
As it stepped onto the string, a clear sound resonated, and the seemingly ordinary qin exuded a terrifying heat capable of burning mountains and boiling seas, filling the entire Qin Hall.
Even the God-Transcending cultivators present couldn’t help but sweat profusely under such intense heat.
Only Chen Mobai, due to his Fire Spirit Body and prehension of the Fire Great Dao, felt as if bathed in a spring breeze, his expression unchanged.
This scene piqued the curiosity of the Qin Spirit, and Feng Qingshu’s heart filled with a glimmer of hope.
"For what reason have you awakened me?"
After retracting its gaze from Chen Mobai, the Qin Spirit looked at Feng Qingshu and asked, to which the latter promptly explained about the repair.
"Really, do not disturb my slumber for such futile tasks."
But after hearing it, the Qin Spirit yawned, transforming back into flames, cascading like a waterfall into the feathers at the qin’s tail.
This scene left Feng Qingshu a bit embarrassed, as the Phoenix tribe had previously invited other Sixth Rank Artifact Refiners to repair it, but none succeeded. Consequently, the Qin Spirit formed a fixed impression that attempts would certainly fail.
